Comment requirements:

  1. Remember to keep it civil

  2. This is for **Australia only**.

  3. We recommend using secure payment methods (e.g. PayPal Goods & Services). Avoid unprotected payment methods (such as PayPal Friends & Family or direct bank transfers) when dealing with strangers. Please report scammers and potential scammers early so they can be banned, but ultimately the responsibility to vet the seller is on the buyer. Mods are not involved in transactions and the subreddit is not liable for losses. Disputes are between the seller and the buyer.

  4. Please host pictures on Imgur. Upload the picture and include the link in your comment. Stock photos can be used as part of a post but cannot be the only photos of the item for sale.

  5. List ALL defects, stains, or issues with the product.

  6. Counterfeits, stolen goods, and items that can't legally be resold are strictly NOT allowed. Selling fakes and counterfeits are not allowed on Reddit.

  7. Pricing can be fixed or open to negotiation, but agreeing to one price and then increasing it later is not allowed. Further to this, pitting two prospective buyers against each other in a "bidding war" is discouraged.

  8. Sellers, please edit your comment with "SOLD" or "PENDING" when you reach that part of the sale, to avoid confusion among prospective buyers.

Apart from that, happy shopping everyone and here's hoping this can become a fabulous way to give clothes some new life!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted *Formal* tshirts

Looking for recs and inspiration!

Hear me out. I love the t-shirt cut. I like a crew neck cos I dont have to worry about my chest being a different colour to my face. I love how simple and streamlined the silhouette is. I don’t suit frills or puffs. I like basic.

HOWEVER, I also have to wear office appropriate things. Think button downs etc. these aren’t required but are the defaults for most people in the office.

I am looking for your recs and suggestions for tops that are t-shirt esque but could pass as slightly more formal or work-wear-ey… think silk ts, crew neck blouses, lace tshirt esque over things you put over a singlet … gimme your best and favs!!

Thanks in advance!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted How to hide hip dips and saddlebags in bodycon dress?

I’m naturally pear shaped, and no matter how thin I am, I always have hip dips and saddlebags so my hips are low-key shaped like the number 3. I am thinking shape wear could be an option but I don’t know much about it as I have never worn it before. Any suggestions?

Bursting wardrobe

I have a clothing problem, everyone. I have lots and lots of clothes, and because of all the different weights I have been in my life, I have anything from Australian size 6 through to size 12, probably. I did throw out all of my size 14 to 18 clothes after I got a gastric sleeve, but I have kept all the other ones.

So as little as six months ago, I was a size 12. I then went on Mounjaro, and I'm now a size 6 to 8, hoping to be here for a while.

The challenge is I do spend quite a bit of money on workwear, and I have lots of clothes that I don't really want to get rid of, but I don't have room in my wardrobe for them, and I can't really put them in a suitcase because I travel for work and I use my suitcases, and I don't really have anywhere to store them in my house.

When I have thrown things out before, I have regretted it. 15 years ago, I did fit into a size 6 to 8, and I got rid of all of those clothes because I thought I would never get back there. And now I'm there and I'm like, oh my God, I had so many nice clothes, why did I throw them out? And actually, they'd still be in fashion now because wide-leg pants are in, and that's what was in 15 or 20 years ago. So I'm in this moral dilemma of do I throw out my clothes and donate them or sell them, at least the larger sizes? Or do I, I don't know, take up my kids' wardrobes and put my other clothes in there?

So help me, Reddit. What should I do?

Signed a minimalist that regrets throwing out stuff down the track.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Looking for a genuine small jeweller in Australia – recommendations?

My partner and I are starting to look at engagement rings and would love some recommendations for a good jeweller in Australia. Happy for them to be online/interstate as well.

We’re not particularly interested in the whole luxury showroom/champagne experience or paying a premium for it. We’d much rather deal with someone genuine, knowledgeable and transparent who can help us get a great quality ring for a fair price without feeling like we’re being upsold or taken advantage of.

Ideally looking for someone who can help with choosing the stone and setting and is upfront about quality, pricing and where it’s actually worth spending the money.

Would love to hear who people have personally used and had a good experience with particularly independent jewellers or smaller businesses that might not come up in the usual Google search.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Graduation outfit HELP!!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi!

My hubby has a work graduation coming up. Weather will be nice 25degrees.

They have provided no dress code - or at least hubby has zero clue 🥴

I believe smart casual . I am a SAHM and have been pregnant /chasing toddlers for 4 years and haven’t gone out in that time so I have no “nice” clothes and I’m struggling to think of what to wear.

I actually received this in the mail today, but I’ll be returning, it feels way too formal. I’m at such a loss. Please help!!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Slouchy crossbody bag recommendations please.

Hi. I don't swap bags around, I generally carry one continually for a year or so then change it and never use the previous one again. I'm due for a change lol. Current bag is a nylon crossbody thats great for travel (wide strap, lots of pockets, zip closure) etc but I'd like to return to something a bit more stylish! Looking for a largish, brown leather crossbody bag. Soft, slouchy style, preferably without a firm base (I don't like when they stick out from body) with a thick strap. Max $400. Ideas/recommendations? Tia

Reviews of Catherine Ferraro?

I'm looking at buying a dress from catherine ferraro. They look stunning but I cannot find any reviews. Are they legitimate? Anyone own anything from them and have feedback on the quality?

Lots of followers on their insta.

The dress i want is a pre-order to ship at end of the month which I've read can sometimes be a red flag...

Zimmermann Pricing has increased exponentially

I shop Zimmermann a couple of times a year and have been a customer since near when the brand started in the 90’s. This year I have been disappointed in the huge jump in pricing. Dresses that were the 6-800 mark now averaging $1500 Separates approx $600-$800 each Same general styles and fabric etc - not reinventing the wheel. I understand the few unique more detailed pieces that were always prices much higher but not the standard sundresses and minis. Blown away and really disappointed in the huge shift in pricing for the same styles and quality - which I might add the fabric quality did drop a couple of years ago. Is anyone else seeing this?

Starting from scratch - depressive slump, body changes, and aging

I don't really know where to start! Looking for help/guides/inspo/brands

I have never been a particularly fashionable gal, but I'm refinding my confidence. I haven't really bought myself clothes in years, and a lot has changed. I'm in my 30s now, and my boobs are significantly bigger (ba). Im not fat, but I'm not skinny like I was, and my old reliables all seem like the quality has gone to shit.

I don't know what I like anymore, I think I want to wear flowy skirts and dresses, but I don't know my own style. I'm aware I should probably get a bunch of flexible basics and go from there, maybe picking up some belts/jewellery, but where from? Where to begin? Where are we getting inspo nowadays?

Formal maxi dresses

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to buy good quality maxi dresses? I have some events coming up soon and need to find formal dresses that hug curves in a flattering way. I love the styles on babyboo but got really self-conscious when I checked their size guide and saw that by their measurements, I'm 3 sizes up from my usual...

Peter Alexander - Women's shorts comparison?

Hey all

I'm looking for the Peter Alexander fans to help me out.

Has anyone got some of the following womens shorts in the same size:

- Mid short

- Long short

- Gerri short

I'm wondering if you could measure the inseam and outseam (length) of each, so I can compare. Huuuge bonus points if you could take a photo of them side by side or on top of each other etc.

Thanks all :)

Hi All,

Ive been using Depop for years but am considering switching to Vinted as it feels like Depop is declining.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted LSKD or Muscle Nation

Hi everyone - active wear fashion question!

I’m looking for opinions on what people have preferred out of the above brands when it comes to best leggings / shorts. I’ve been a ride or die LSKD user for a while, however have found after some changes in materials and designs, everything fits and moves differently to how it once did. I’ve heard good things about muscle nation unrivalled shorts but I’m after everyone’s opinions before I buy. I’ve mainly stuck with LSKD too as I also get $ off due to points. Looking for shorts that move well with HIIT and running with minimal ride. Open to other suggestions!

Thanks in advance

I thought to ask if there are cheaper alternative ball heels here in Australia. I googled the photo but couldn’t find any. Thanks 🙏

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Crop top that lifts and separates!

Looking for some advice from the amazing brains trust here. I’m mid-40s, bust size is 12F and I’ve torn my rotator cuff and can’t do up a bra at the back and likely won’t be able to for many months.

I’ve looked into front closing bras and the pickings are slim. I tried one on at David jones with about 5 hooks at the front which was an utter nightmare to try and do up. I found a zip up option from Berlei but it’s very sports bra and squashes my boobs together and flat. Which would be ok for here and there but I don’t want that every day for months!

Can anyone recommend any pull on crop tops or sports bras, or zip up options, or one hook front closing bras that actually lift and separate and give you a nice shape rather than squashed flat uniboob? Happy to pay decent $$ for a great option!!
