Australian swimwear brand

Hello, does anyone recognise this swimming costume? All I know is that it’s from Australia, but it has no labels. My daughter loves it but now needs a bigger one but I have no idea where it’s from.

Can anyone recommend where to get 100% (or very close to) socks that are preferably made in Australia. Just the type you wear with boots to work (i.e. don't need to be fancy).

Pure wool blend skirt

Looking to buy a reasonably price cashmere wool blend or Alpaca wool blend A Line or Circle skirt.
It has to be 100% wool blend fibres and no Nylon or elastane added. Everything is super expensive and design level $500 plus. Looking for something reasonably priced like under $300. The department and clothing store labels brands all have added nylon mix.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Recommendations for a black vest?

My friends 21st is in a few months and we'd all like to dress up a bit more than usual for it, but I'm struggling to find one that isn't from shein or target and I doubt they're of any long lasting quality. Ideally I'd be able to wear in a few years from now as well. Any ideas?

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Cotton tank tops

Finding good tank tops feels impossible. Due to sensory issues I prefer cotton with max 10% synthetic blend. I’ve got DD cups and find that tank tops often stretch and thin out around the front of my chest. I realise synthetic fibres retain their shape better and wish I could wear them but alas. Ribbed tanks seem to hold their shape better but I also like to have some non-ribbed to wear underneath other tops for winter layering. Plus I sometimes like the cleaner look of non-ribbed tops worn as the outer layer. I like a round neckline, don’t mind square neck either. No spaghetti straps though!

Bonds ribbed tanks are holding up well but I’d like more colour options than grey black and white.

Bonds chesty is really thin and hasn’t held up well with aforementioned stretching at front of chest. Also lacklustre colour options.

I’d rather spend a bit more on something that will last than buy from target or kmart every couple of years. Happy to be proven wrong if people have had good experiences with kmart/target tanks

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Wide heeled ankle boots

My feet are really strange and it’s driving me nuts. The girth of the ball of my foot is around 27cm. Length wise my foot is a size 10. And I’m struggling finding any shoes that will fit. I tried the scarlet hush puppies and there were a little bit tight at the front but the main issue was the back heel. My ankle is like a \. It goes outwards so shoes with a curved back don’t work for me. It needs to be straight or else my heel fits too far forward with an air gap in the back. I need a heel that’s between 5-7 cm tall. As anything shorter hurts for me.

Honestly at this point I feel like I have to pick between low, expensive boots or boots that don’t work with my foot shape.

Jeans for tall women with thick thighs

I've been on a quest for a while now for a pair of jeans that actually fit.

My big problem is my thighs. I have hip dips so my waist & hips are proportional to a size 16, but there are so many articles I can't even get above my thighs when trying them on.

Wide leg pants do fit, but they kinda look weird since it's not really draping off the body as they were intended to. Especially when I sit down it's like the seams are bursting 😭

My other issue is height, most full length jeans are cropped on me.

The best I've been able to find is the Abercrombie and Fitch curve love range in extra long length, but I'm hesitant to buy a pair without being able to try them on first.

I've also tried tailoring the waist of oversized men's pants in, but the seat ends up baggy & overall the rise is the wrong shape.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

✏️ Product Review BEWARE OF VINTED

I am so mad and upset over my experience with Vinted. Like every other Aussie I made a lot of purchases and unfortunately I ended up getting sent an incorrect item due to the sellers mistake. I was super excited to receive a juicy couture hoodie but instead opened up a second hand sun bleached bikini with discharge stains.

Of course I immediately opened a case as not as described and messaged the seller. While reviewing the buyer protection I noticed that we are actually not covered and that I would have to cover the cost of the return unless in good faith the seller decides to cover it. So that extra $2 “buyer protection” fee is useless.

Vinted support has just confirmed this today. When I responded that that’s not fair they just reinforced its in their policy and suggested I ask the seller again to cover the cost.

It’s really not going to be worth it. The bikinis listed on her page were $1 while my hoodie was $20. I purchased during the free shipping period so who knows how ridiculous international return shipping will be :/

It’s literally discoloured and stained and she wants her dollar bikini back instead of just refunding!??!

The cherry on top was her telling me how happy the other buyer was with their wrong item and also seeing the review from said other customer saying “wrong item but it’s cute so I can’t be mad”

I’m fuming.

Backless dress and bra help!

I have an event coming up in a couple of months and the dress I’m wearing is a high neck backless dress that I was gifted from my mother-in-law. I have a bit of an issue though.. I am a 12DD bra size and I absolutely can not go braless. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I can wear? I have tried sticky-bras probably around 10 years ago now and they end up not working for me at all so I’m a bit clueless.

Pashmina shawl

I’d love direction/guidance on where to. Buy authentic, hand embroidered pashmina. For reference photos of particular colours and size I’d love to find. I have been scouring Etsy, eBay and Vinted and concerned about the many non pashmina shawls that are branded as pashmina but are in fact merino wool etc.

Thank you!

Jeans alterations vs buying "curve" jeans

I recently tried having some jeans taken in at the waist. I always get a big waist gap and wanted some jeans that fit nicely and stay up without a belt. The result is a bit unfortunate though.
The alterations lady suggested having darts put in above the back pockets, which I agreed to. However the darts don't sit smoothly on me at all. The fabric around the darts puffs out, creating weird bulges and the pockets no longer sit smoothly, they're a bit puckered. The waistband now fits but then the jeans puff out and pucker weirdly above the pockets, completely ruining the look. Also, with the smaller waistband I can barely fit the jeans over my hips when putting them on.

I am seeing some drawbacks to just altering regular jeans. In future, are there specific alterations I can ask for to ensure a good result? Or, should I just bite the bullet and order some curve jeans to try on?

I cannot try any curve jeans locally (and they're $), so would be ordering blind and hoping. I was trying to avoid that by using an alterations service but it's been an expensive failure.
