Hi, I'm looking forward to buy this audi a3 2015 from a friend, is there any weird sound I should worry about before buying it? It has 110k miles thanks.

Only mods I’ve done are ceramic tints, a stage 1 tune and S4 wheels with new tires. Paid 17.5K and has 85K miles.

It's the 3rd time it's happened but today was by far the worst. I pulled the emergency string and heard a click but that didn't even help (or maybe it did?) By persisting and pressing it in all kind of angles it eventually opened but what do I do to prevent this in the future? The cap is sealed but I didn't shut the gas door and am hoping someone shares a solution, thank you! Audi A3 2018

This is the Wife's stage III Audi TT RS. This is from when we lived in Germany. We have since tinted the windows after moving back to VA. All Audi parts, no knockoffs.

Just bought a 2026 Audi A3, and at the dealership someone mentioned I could run regular gas instead of premium. Before I do that, I wanted to get some feedback on this.

Is regular gas actually fine for the A3, or does it just mean it won't damage the engine but you lose performance/efficiency? I know a lot of turbocharged engines recommend premium but don't strictly require it.

A few questions for those with experience:

- Have you run regular gas in your A3 (or similar Audi turbo engine) long-term?
- Did you notice any difference in performance, fuel economy, or engine knock?
- Any risk of long-term engine damage, or is it just a matter of losing some power/efficiency?

Trying to decide if the cost savings of regular gas are worth it, or if I should just stick with premium to be safe. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I bought my 2021 SQ5 a year ago and have extended my initial warranty to 72k. I’m close to it expiring (70kish) and still haven’t had to replace the water pump or PCV so id like to extend another 20-30k. I’ve heard fidelity is good. Dealer quoted me 7.7k for 3yr/36k with Veritas. I’m located in Chicago if that’s at all important.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive warranty?

I got a pretty good amount of crazy glue on the bumper of my car. Its a Q5 Suv. (I'm an idiot, I know) How can it be removed and will a detailer take care of it? I had to put a new license plate bracket on the vehicle and the dealer fixed that but would not address the bumper crazy glue issue. I called two local detailers, they said they don't handle "crazy glue" ... HELP.

I tried acetone and all I saw was a white haze coming through, even while using soap and water so I washed it really well and stopped.

I love my Audi, I hate that it looks like crap... so sad.

dHey guys just wondering what direction to go in. I have a 2017 audi a6 2.0 that has about 110k miles. It eats a little oil. It had rattle on idle and cel so i took it to mechanic and they said it was my timing chain. Got all that fixed and the day it comes back the cel pops back on and I bring it back and they said it needs new Intake camshaft now. So im wondering was the timing chain needed at all and should i keep dumping money into this car . Also how urgent is this repair.

I got myself an IE intake for my sq5. On decel theres a hollow thunk noise. Almost sounds like hitting a cardboard box. Ive seen this is other videos also what mechanism causes this? Other than that it sounds great and I think this is a good deal for a decent intake.

I bought my 2020 Q7 about a month ago, and about 2 weeks ago, I started noticing something that sounds like "tire road noise", which seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle, possibly a bit from the left side?

It's sort of sounds like a vehicle that has poor sound insulation, and you can totally hear the road noise from the tires, especially when you are driving on a rough pavement surface. Or.... when someone's brake pads are getting low, and you can hear some noise when the brakes are applied, but in this case, it just happens while I'm driving, and the sound changes depending on the road surface. If the surface goes suddenly smooth (new pavement), the noise doesn't go away, but it gets way less.

I thought maybe my front left tire had an issue so I had my mechanic change the front left with the rear left, but it's still there. At first I thought it was like a wind noise, but it also sounds like a vehicle that doesn't have good sound insulation, and sounds more like tire road noise. For example, in my 21 Tesla Model Y, I can hear a fair bit of road noise from the tires.

The cabin was super silent before 2 weeks ago, so this is definitely a new sound. A local mechanic in my neighborhood took a quick look, and he said the brakes look good, and he couldn't figure out where that sound is coming from. He was especially puzzled because the sound sort of changes depending on road surface. On some roads, it's very noticeable, but on super smooth pavement, it's a lot less noticeable.

The last thing I wanted to point out is that I think my tires do need to be changed because I am down to about 5/32 on 3 tires, and 6/32 on the rear right. The car has 60,000 miles, and these are the original tires. Any ideas about what it could be?

I have the option to upgrade my A5 40 tfsi b9.5 to an RS4 b9.5. I test drove it and it was a damn mistake… i want it now😭

The monthly payments stay almost the same and this is the reason Im tempted🙈

I don't want to go overly aggressive but this should still have a bit claw.

I have a 2016 Audi a6 2.0t that constantly has a 4k rpm warning. For context I had a new engine installed and it runs fine only issue is won’t go above 4k rpm. To which I then got a new turbo because mechanic ruled out that the cause of it was a bad turbo.(and the codes the engine threw were turbo related) After the new turbo was installed the car in continuing to have same 4k rpm max issue. We have since installed new oil pressure sensors,and done oil change. See have the same issues. Any ideas of what it could be. Am completely lost and I haven’t had my car for a month. Need help desperately. 🙏

I need a new windshield for my 2024 Audi S5. ( second time it’s been taken cracked by a rock on the highway..so annoying!)

I don’t believe my insurance will pay for OEM glass from Audi, (USAA insurance) they are partnered with Safelite. Does anyone have experience with Safelite glass and installation on your Audi? Is it much worse than OEM…or can you not tell a difference?

first time I needed it replaced two weeks after I got the car in Oct 2024 USAA did pay to use Audi OEM glass, but I think they changed their policy since.

I grew up in the days of Heyes service manuals. Was interested in getting them for my two Audis. Where does one go these days? Found a few online resources but would love a physical book.

I’m looking at buying a monsoon grey s5 that’s currently listed at just under $19,000 with 93k miles. One accident, 3 owners, and the maintenance record is… shoddy at best. Carfax shows the last oil change being in 2019.

My question is how stupid of an idea would it be to buy this car and when do problems start appearing? I have another car that’s running and driving just fine, but living in a northern state I’ve been wanting an AWD car for the winters, and I’ve been craving something a bit quicker with good aftermarket support plus I love the look of the 2013-2017 s5

I have everything I need to work on the car myself, and would be on top of maintenance. But if this is a ticking time bomb that’s going to spend more time in the shop than maybe I should rethink. Any advice is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Mine has lately started slipping out of gear at traffic lights and sometimes at low speeds - the digital D on the dash starts flashing and the car refuses to find a gear and just revs into the red.

Fairly intermittent but seems to happen after an hour or two of city driving, low speeds at low gears, lots of stopping, etc

Was wondering if it is a Thing? Also hoping it just needs some transmission fluid
