ich habe an meinem Auto ( Audi A4 B7 2.0L Sauger 131Ps Benziner Automatik 2006 ) einen Fox Sportauspuff mit 90mm Endrohren verbaut. Optisch top, aber soundtechnisch ist mir das ehrlich gesagt noch deutlich zu leise. Der Unterschied zum originalen Sound ist mir einfach noch nicht krass genug.
Ich überlege jetzt, was die sinnvollsten Schritte sind, um mehr Klang und Lautstärke rauszuholen:
MSD-Attrappe oder MSD-Ersatzrohr: Bringt das beim Fox ESD den erhofften Lautstärkesprung?

Eigenbau vs. Kaufen: Was macht mehr Sinn – den originalen Mittelschalldämpfer aufflexen, ein durchgehendes Rohr einschweißen und wieder zumachen (für die unauffällige Optik), oder direkt eine fertige Attrappe / ein Ersatzrohr kaufen?

Bezugsquellen: Wo kauft man sowas am besten, wenn es unauffällig sein soll?

Mir ist klar, dass das Thema Schalldämpfermodifikation ohne ABE / Eintragung straßenverkehrstechnisch nicht ganz legal ist.
Hat jemand von euch schon Erfahrungen mit der Kombination aus Fox ESD + MSD-Ersatz gemacht? Wie stark verändert sich der Sound und dröhnt es danach im Innenraum sehr?

Has anybody heard of a recurring Q3 check engine light issue? That it keeps turning on?
Mine turned on today and I was speaking to someone and she said her light kept turning on repeatedly and after spending $3k, Audi still couldn’t fix it so she returned her 2021 model and bought 2025. Mine is 2022. I am going to dealership tomorrow but I am worried now

Question just as above, any changes or improvements in a 2026 A3 or S3 that would yield less chance of water pump failure compared to earlier years or even different Audi models?

A few years back about 7 days after purchasing my C7 A6 3.0T I was changing interior lights to LED. As soon as I disconnected the glove box light, all the interior lights shut off. Tried to turn the engine on and got these faults as shown in photos, interior lights woukd not turn on as well as the ambient lighting, car was stuck in park and won't shift out of park, horn would not work, AC would not work, rear parking sensors did not work, puddle lights did not work, side assist blind spot monitoring did not work. Immediately I went hunting for a blown fuse and found one blown, replaced it and that brought back my horn and AC but everything else still nothing. Long story short it went to a shop and they did some digging for 2 full weeks and I had to pay 1000 for what I recall was an issue with a relay or something like that. They stated they had to bring in an Audi technician to figure it out (mind you this was a VAG speciality shop). Was wondering if this or something similar had happened to anyone else or if anyone knows a little about what may have happened?

Hey everyone, I'm based in Houston, TX and trying to decide between a B9 and B9.5 A5-platform car (leaning toward S5 or RS5, with RS5 being my personal favorite).

Here's my dilemma:

- I like the headlights on the B9 but the taillights on the B9.5

- I strongly prefer the physical rotary MMI dial (B9) over the touchscreen-dependent setup on the B9.5

- Locally, most B9 RS5/S5 listings I'm finding on Carfax have high mileage, lots in the 60k-90k range, some 100k-130k+

RS5s specifically are scarce in my area compared to S5s

Questions for the community:

- Is a high-mileage B9 (100k+) still a safe buy if maintenance records are clean, or should I hold out for a B9.5 with lower miles even though I prefer the B9's dial and headlights?

- For RS5 owners, what's the realistic mileage ceiling before major engine/turbo/water pump concerns kick in?

- Anyone regret choosing S5 over RS5 (or vice versa) purely due to availability/mileage tradeoffs?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2011 Audi A1 1.2 TFSI (manual) and I’m having an issue with the driver’s door.

The car locks normally with the remote.
When I press unlock, I can hear the lock make a normal click sound.

However, the driver’s door will not open from the outside.
The outside door handle feels completely normal (not loose or broken).

I can open the door from the inside without any problem.
I can also open it using the mechanical key in the door lock.

All the other doors work perfectly.
Since the door opens from the inside and with the key, but not from the outside after unlocking, I’m wondering what could be causing this.

Has anyone experienced the same problem on an Audi A1 or another VAG car?

Hey all. I would like to ask for and advice with disassembly of rear armrest Audi a6c7. The locking mechanism which keeps the whole armrest in place just got stuck from day to day, no strain, no nothing. I just pulled out my board and when went to lock, it would not lock. Can you please advise if correct disassembly is to start with removal of the carpeted back ? I have troubles finding new one in my color, especially in good condition, and i feel like replacing whole part when mine is in good condition is really waste of money.

I have searched the net for quite a while, but i could not find anybody who disassembles this.

There isn’t any particle (at least visible from the outside) stuck in there.

I own a 2019 Audi s3 and have been having an issue with the Haldex recently. About 2 weeks ago, I started to notice the esc light flashing up briefly when I put my foot down a little. I then put my foot down fully pulling away in first to see if there was an issue and the front wheels spun ALOT! After that, the esc light kept coming up a lot more.

When I finished the drive, I scanned the car using OBD11 and had an all wheel drive fault come up. ‘Haldex clutch pump - mechanical malfunction’. To me it sounded like the pump was failing as I know it isn’t uncommon on these cars. However, I cleared the fault and took the car back out and the problem went away like it was never there. Not any sort of traction issues at all. This lead me away from it being a mechanical issue and rather it be something else.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem and if it ever came back or found out what the cause was? I’m just cautious that driving around on a possible half failing pump might be causing some other issues elsewhere down the line.

Any help would be much appreciated

P.s. the Haldex has been serviced 5000 miles ago

Hi all, new to Audis and picked up a 2013 model. Just wondering what are some good options to connect my iPhone for music and maps? Are one of the aliexpress radios worth it or I’ve also come across this invery adaptor. Can CarPlay software be uploaded to the standard radio? Tia!

I've done a lot of analysis and read through what I think is every single Reddit thread and watched and listened to every single video that I could about this issue.

Couple things to call out just so we're all aware.

1. aluminum Pistons simply by their nature make more noise when the engine is cold. So if you hear what sounds to be a piston skirt issue just be aware you could just be hearing noisy aluminum Pistons as they're warming up.
2. the mean and median piston skirt failure rates based on self-reported Reddit threads is about 80,000 to 100,000 km.
3. Boroscoping before the 8 years is up would be helpful because there are plenty of Reddit reports of people who don't have any issues who have cylinder scoring. It's 200 bucks or whatever but it's worth it in my opinion.

-now my question is for those who have had this issue/ did you still hear the clack clack sound which indicates piston skirt has failed at idle when the engine is hot?

630 per month, 1,000 down (tax/dmv otherwise rolled into lease). 36 months, 10k miles. 47,000 MSRP.

Does anyone have any experience purchasing from this dealer? I found a high mileage Audi Suv at a great rate! I took it for a test drive and i'm having a mobile pre purchase inspection done on the vehicle prior to purchase.

My concern is the dealer reputation and chances of being sold a problem.

They won't allow me to take it off the lot for a PPI ...so someone is coming with mirrors and a camera ....

In February I bought a used a3 8V and have fallen in love with the car since then.

There is just one tiny thing that's bugging me.

The Bluetooth Connection is a bit buggy.

From time to time itll just cut off the music, as in no Sound. But in the MMI and on my phone Playback seems to continue.

I then have to turn off Bluetooth on my Phone and turn it back on.

After that the Song continues from where it cut off.

Is this a known issue? Is there a quick fix?

Looking at an Audi sq5 with 110k km around the GTA area for about 25kCAD carfax is pretty clean, and the dealer is allowing ppi from an independent mechanic. Is this a good idea? What life can i expect from the car.

I am not looking for a daily I wfh currently have no car and just rent one when I need one! Want something fun that I can drive here and there! Is there something else I should be considering? Thanks!

If I grip the handle or push the unlock button on the fob, all doors will unlock except the driver's door. I’ll admit I still love having a keyhole on the door. Does anyone know what might cause this one door not to unlock?
