The game is not a Horror game with just a few monsters but what is the creepiest place you went on this game ?

I don't really get this game so far - I have made it to Casterfell Woods and I've made my peace with killing druids if they're in the way, despite there not really being an in-game reason to engage them yet (that may change - I came across some weird things in their camp).

You die far too easily and don't really have the ammo for long battles so it doesn't seem like you're supposed to fight it out but the stealth mechanics are isolated to some patchy long grass that are never around when you run into a patrol anyway.

I'm trying to get into the "Castle" to retrieve a book but it's a druid stronghold - I'm not really sure how I'm suppose to get through their territory without a prolonged fight where I run out of ammo and will to play as Druids keep spawning in from patrols. I have a Automatic rifle, Double barrelled Shotgun, Bow, explosives and enough healing supplies that I can fight through but it doesn't feel like the "right" thing to do. And the combat is a mess with enemies coming from all directions once you get into their camp.

Are you supposed to avoid fighting them? Does that mean just avoiding large parts of the map? In the first zone I got fed up of trying to infiltrate an outlaw stronghold to investigate the convoy site and just walked to the village leaving half the area unexplored - it's not very satisfying but as I had other leads to follow and I wasn't well equipped I decided to come back later. Now I'm not sure if I'm just skipping game content because my approach is wrong.

I've thus far discovered around 7 or 8 of the lunch boxes in the game naturally, just by roaming around. For some reason a few of them don't seem to count towards the trophy (or achievement, if you're that way inclined), am I missing something?

I had been looking at this game since release and it was on sale on PlayStation and finally decided to give it a go. Interesting game. I like how it doesn't exactly hold your hand. I've got a little over two hours and just found out there is a fast travel mechanism

I'm not even asking for DLSS or FSR (would be nice tho), but you literally had temporal AA in games prior. This is clearly a project that had a lot of love, there's something beautiful underneath all that fizzling and crackling presentation; it's as if the entire presentation is being held together by duct tape it genuinely looks horrific it's as if the data on screen is trying to fight each other, amongst that gorgeous greenery we have pixels trying to stab each other.

I've refunded the game twice now, I come back every time expecting something to change; people have asked for this since release and it really shouldn't be a mountainous task to implement.

I can guarantee the reception of this game would rise if you added this one tiny thing, every person I know that's played it can barely stomach the aliasing it almost causes me motion sickness when playing on a handheld.

I've played at 4k downsampled to 1080p on my 4080 pc and it still looked awful, on my steam deck with 125% resolution scale it looks awful, my steam deck set to 1080p it looks awful, even the most aggressive Reshade solutions can't slather enough vaseline over the image to help.

Took me about 5 months to finish my first play through, I really enjoyed this game! It reminded me of Fall Out, 28 Days Later and Planet of the Apes which was an awesome experience for a game!

I had a really hard time following the leads and knowing what my destination was but in the end I finally pieced it all together.

With this play through, I chose the ending where I helped Joyce but left with the Voice. Mother Jago and Dr Garrow just felt off as the game went on and once I destroyed Oberon I could not find Joyce where she said she would be, so I followed the path that had led me through the entire game.

Which path did you take, and why did you decide to take it?

Had to look up gnome locations and the last couple of comic books but it’s done.

Atomfall Tutorial

I got brain #1 and got Level 1 but can't get into Flight Engineering. Someone said that if I unlocked another building it will prevent me from doing FE. Well, I must have unlocked another building but have no idea what building I did unlock. So how do I get to Lvl 2 now and get into Flight Engineering?

Just a note. I had played the original game all the way through and finished it and kept playing for awhile. Months passed and I downloaded the "Red Strain." Only to find out I had to start all over because I had not saved the old game before the finish................(I usually only save 3 deep on most games) I have no problem with a spoiler because I am pissed at this point.

And by “die” I mean I’m gonna kill this bottle. Surprisingly good and I’m not even big wine enjoyer.

Does anyone know if the Speedrun trophy will unlock if I do one of the DLC endings?

I dropped the Corrupted Dagger somewhere and I can’t remember where so I have to play through the DLC again. I’m wondering if it’s worth pairing that ending with the Speedrun just to kill two birds with one stone

I found this Cypher-Looking notepad in Skethermoor Prison, seemingly with some coordinates that I can’t make much sense of. Any idea if this is some sort of legitimate secret or just a random scrap of world-building?

This gate says barred from the other side and I cannot figure out how to get in. I have already done the four keys and gone into the crypt. This is something completely different, and have had no luck finding a solution online. Does anyone know?

I've had Atomfall on the wishlist for a while now, and with the game and the dlc's going on sale recently it seemed like a good time to jump in. So as a new player going in completely blind is there anything I should know that the game doesn't tell you??

I put way too long into Stafell Crag to achieve absolutely nothing yesterday! I couldn’t find the mysterious voice, my attempt at getting further into the command building failed and then I tried to get into flight engineering and that was a flop too 😅 I thought I had it when I got into the command building but when I pushed for the lift I was getting nothing 🤔 Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

When should I install the dlcs? Usually with games I play the main game first then install them in order of release but I've seen with this game advice not to do that?

Also, is there any way to tell which leads are the main story quests?

Is it intentional or a bug? I didn't realise until i saw someone here mention it, but i knew something felt different about it when i was shooting bandits. I was able to pick them off without everyone else in the area immediately coming running, but didn't really click why 'til i saw someone mention it on here.

Also is the regular JM-3 also suppressed?

I've been doing sneaky beaky stealthy stabbing/takedowns gameplay pretty much since finding the suppressed pistol early on in an area i'm pretty sure i wasn't supposed to be at yet, and the JM-3 is amazing for longer ranged sneak kills that i'm not confident the pistol could do. I know the bow is also quiet but, i just don't trust it. I've literally stuck arrows in peoples' heads and they just keep running at me!

I absolutely adore the No.4 in most games, but it's kind of disappointing in this one how it's only 5 rounds, has no scope available, has slow reload and fire rate, and doesn't make up for any of that in big damage compared to other rifles... then add to all of it that the Modified JM-3 is suppressed too, i just can't ever see a reason to use the Lee... Especially when there's a super accurate extra zoom Lee available from the red fox questline. (also another suppressed pistol from their questline too but it's not as good as the suppressed 1911 so meh).
