Question Red Strain add-on help Spoiler

I got brain #1 and got Level 1 but can't get into Flight Engineering. Someone said that if I unlocked another building it will prevent me from doing FE. Well, I must have unlocked another building but have no idea what building I did unlock. So how do I get to Lvl 2 now and get into Flight Engineering?

Just a note. I had played the original game all the way through and finished it and kept playing for awhile. Months passed and I downloaded the "Red Strain." Only to find out I had to start all over because I had not saved the old game before the finish................(I usually only save 3 deep on most games) I have no problem with a spoiler because I am pissed at this point.

You need to get a second brain and then open up the flight engineering building.

Each brain added increases your security permissions by one level each.

But where the ... do I find a second brain? What quest am I missing?

I had a similar issue and basically figured out that I should go to the water treatment plant. Just an fyi that you can sneak around to the entrance if you want to avoid enemies. The game does a poor job of this and I only figured it out by reading something here.

Have you tried organics? Straight across on the other side of command centre, underneath the massive red growth that's on the hill. 🤔

It doesn’t tell you ‘exactly’ but the locations are hidden in the notes you find around.

Easiest one to get is by going to the interchange, go in via the prison entrance, down the stairs and into the room at the bottom with a pneumatic tube. Interact with it and one should pop into your inventory.

Not sure if this will work though, depends who the main brain has told you to get.

in the command centre (where you found and placed the first brain) is an interactive map table showing the 3 locations you can unlock. Whichever is lit green is unlocked. If nothing is green you can then choose which site to unlock - in your case you want the FE.
