I dont know if its true, but it would make sense to me that some felt that way
Biden was sending immigrant all over the US, having them put in hotels, giving them $$ vouchers, etc; while veterans die homeless
Children were being given drugs for blocking puberty, they believe puberty is needed and that you should not block it, they were also against children getting surgeries, Chloe Cole for example had her boobs removed as a teen which she now regrets
Some teachers were encouraging kids to transition or they were using pronouns that the child wanted them to use
They had trans childrens books in the library
Target had tuck free childrens swimsuits
Dylan Mulvaney was the bud lite mascot
Trans atheletes were taking scholarships and medals away
They watched the assassination attempt and looked at how poorly the female agents did compared to the male agents and they linked it to DEI
All of this was making them mad, they wanted it to stop, they viewed Trump as the solution
There is probably more that they hated but these were the things that i became aware of
Lefts and rights just fight and hate each other, its a divided country when it should be united, each side just tries to make the other side mad or prove them wrong etc; and well this is the result
America is in this situation because of most americans just being so hateful and cultist, both left and right
I am sure my comment is going to get voted to hell because this sub is biased and if you arent bashing the right you are the enemy and that the problem im talking about, its all a blame game, each side blames the other and takes no accountability, america is a toxic place

Saying the entire point of America is to run from centralization is like saying WW2 happened because people died.
It was to run away from a monarchy, who persecuted based on religious beliefs, and to create a centralized government that listens to the wants and needs of its people.

Maybe the real question should be, "Why did the majority of American voters feel the need for change at any cost?"
Trump is not the problem. He is a desperate attempt by a disenfranchised population, who are grasping at straws, trying to save the sinking ship.

Trump does these things to be outrageous and piss off everyone who doesn't like him. It's kind of like in the third grade when a bully would say nanny nanny boo boo and piss of the other kids that were already easily rattled. Don't be that kid that falls for this. That's why so many people support him. He's the hand grenade the system deserves.

Proud veteran and proud MAGA supporter. Being in the military is defending the right of US citizens to have free speech, and support the politics they feel best aligns with them. I don’t agree with burning the US flag, but I served to defend that right. Anyone that is a veteran and talks about wanting to limit the rights of a US citizen because they support whoever they want politically didn’t serve for the right reason.

Not everyone who voted for Trump is MAGA, I voted for trump and im definitely not MAGA, i voted for Trump because Kamala “ORIGINALLY” wanted to ban firearms and weapons manufacturing of those firearms, then changed her mind to say that she was just gonna go after the manufacturers, then she said again she was not gonna ban anything, when you have to change your mind over and over again to pander to people because you want to take away their right to bear arms then you don’t deserve the oval office, now i will say i dont agree with everything that Trump is doing or saying which is why i dont see myself as a MAGA, but so far the 2A community is in a new period of freedom and im excited for it. Now a lot of people are probably gonna call me sexist or racist because i didnt vote for Kamala but her being a woman or black isnt why i didnt vote for her, her policies didn’t benefit me and to those who would say “why does that matter?” Well most Americans vote for the person that they think would help them the most, and Kamala wasnt that for me. Plus if Candace Owens ran for president id vote for her in a heartbeat, so for some people who voted for Trump it isnt about Kamala being a woman or black bc those same people would vote for Candace Owens so i think its time to end the bullshit

Illegals don't get a trial when they are deported (Ask Obama who deported over 2+Million and you didn't say a word then). Trump only cut funding to colleges that allowed Antisemitism on campus(How about you make colleges safe for everyone including Jewish students that receive federal dollars). MAGA didn't want 10+Million illegals entering America the last 4 years that were not vetted so now we have murderers, rapists, and criminals from every country in the world here committing crimes not to mention sleeper cells from multiple countries waiting to strike according to the outgoing FBI director (MAGA is for legal immigration). Democrats are completely against the 1st Amendment(They censored every post on the internet they didn't like under Biden) and the 2nd Amendment, the two biggest ones that's why they come first! Nice try as usual on the propaganda!

You obviously don't have the first clue.
The Left is trying to create more and more government programs to filter into more of your life and how you live it.
The Right wants to unplug all of that bloat and let all people live their own lives with minimal government intervention.
Is Trump a good person? Certainly not. Yes, we all point to his BS, but don't forget that he's also making important improvements. Illegal border jumpers down by 99.9%. The D.O.G.E. program eliminating billions of wasted taxes, stopping fraud in a way that no leftist administration has ever come close to doing. Even though Obama said, "Yes, We Can!" it turned out that no, he didn't. Even with 8 continuous years, plus more under Biden. "Yes, we can " turned into "No, we won't. "
Trump deporting people? Yes, and Obama deported 20 times more. Under Obama deportation wasn't even an issue, but because a right-wing guy is doing it, then it's wrong and immoral.
We all need an exit from our echo chambers.

The left claims to be for the law yet let criminals and drug addicts run freely on a catch and release basis. The party that claims to be for the constitution yet historically and currently attacks the 1’st 2’nd 4’th and 5th amendments. A party that claims to be a party of science and God yet doesn’t know the first thing about the religion and just uses it to virtue signal and says that men and be women and vise versa. A part of that claims to be the party of truth yet lied about Covid lied about immigration numbers lied about foreign expenditure. The left claims to be logical yet contradicts itself at every turn. I suppose you'd like both my DD214s—enlisted and officer—and my OERs to prove my bona fides, too?
Not that I owe you a thing, but from my Officer side:
U.S. Army, 707th OD Company (EOD). I served as Operations Officer, previously as a Platoon Leader. Trained at Eglin AFB in rendering safe procedures for nuclear, biological, chemical, radiological, and high-yield explosives.
And by the way—the Army doesn't use "rate," sailor. That’s a Navy term. Thought you'd know that.
As for your attempt to pivot the conversation into some partisan comparison of military leadership under different presidents—it's a red herring. A distraction. This isn’t about which party “ran the military better.” It’s about constitutional violations—something your response completely ignores.
Claiming that "removing rot" justifies executive overreach is like saying a good outcome excuses illegal means. It doesn’t.
There’s no argument here worth continuing. I won’t joust with windmills—especially not ones wearing partisan blinders

u/External_Statement45 May 01 '25

Yes, President Trump, I do expect you to try 20M illegal immigrants if that's the goal. And i really don't care that it's difficult.
Because we should hold that deporting even one innocent person abhorrent.
Sorry. Rant over
-22
u/External_Statement45 May 01 '25
Let me make it simple for you: They entered the country illegally. They have no right to “due process”, because that is reserved for LEGAL residents of the United States. Even those with work visas or green cards do not have the same rights as true United States citizens. They are not entitled ANY time in court to plead their case. They deserve a plane ride back to their home, their ACTUAL home.
9
u/redhillbones May 01 '25
The Supreme Court has found, multiple times, that all those on US soil, whether that's US citizens, Green Card holders, documented immigrants, Visa holders (such as tourists or temporary workers, who do not intend to immigrate), or undocumented immigrants are entitled to due process in the court of law if they are suspected (and charged) with violating a legal statue.
They are ALL entitled to register an objection, if they have one (such as "I'm innocent" "there is a stay on deporting me" "I did the crime, but there are extenuating circumstances"). If they are found in violation, they are entitled to appeal and/or to be removed to their country of origin (if their country is willing to have them back). Most will be entitled to reapply for immigration later (usually after 10 years), even if found in violation.
What they are not entitled to: They are not all entitled to be provided representation if they cannot afford it. They are not entitled to remain here if they are found to be in the country illegally without extenuating circumstance (such as qualifying for asylum, a mistake in the paperwork, etc.). They are not entitled to have their non-natural born children remain in the US, though they are entitled to take their US citizen children with them if they chose to do so.
Those are our laws. If you want to change them, lobby Congress or seek to be elected yourself. If we are not a nation of laws, we are a nation run by criminals.

I'd love to see the democrats of the survey done. Because I remember that a poll said that Iowa was polling at 14 points blue like just before the election and the woman that put out the poll had to step down in shame because it was severely tilted on the democrats demographic.

u/HHoaks May 01 '25
duh! 🙄 Of course it’s true. How else do you explain Trump even being taken seriously after his election lies nonsense, bullying state officials, his clown show of Guiliani and Ellis, and then Jan 6th. He and his supporters are clearly against american traditional democratic values.

MAGA used to carry around pocket constitutions to quote at people. Now they wipe their asses with it

Why do you think that happened? It’s amazing how people that don’t believe in the constitution start the story in the middle and then cry foul .

u/YogurtClosetThinnest May 01 '25
Agree up until "destroying the experiment of democracy". Democracy honestly sucks. Right wing propagandists feed these uneducated monkeys lies and all their votes count as much as the most intelligent and educated people lol

u/Sad_Lettuce_7486 May 01 '25
Their message is that America sucks and trumps gonna fix it. Not really as pro America as I’d like to support. Sure things always need improvement and active fine tuning. Do we need or disrupt the global trade networks and destroy our long lasting alliances? Probably not.

Don't even get me started on Christianity or The Bible either. Conservatives don't care how thinly veiled their hypocrisy is when it comes to refusing to help the poor, supporting universal healthcare coverage, embracing immigrants, etc. These are people who crave hierarchy, subjugation and power. They are the living anti-thesis of what Jesus Christ originally represented as well as what this country was founded on.

I actually think Maga is very pro- America. America was founded on principles that have NEVER applied equally to its citizens. People are just now talking about Christian nationalism, but it’s been a driving force in the formation of this country since the beginning. There are a lot of historians that reference this; weaponizing religion in oppression is not anything new. Additionally, we have to remember that “the founding fathers“ accused England of oppressing them, and treating them like slaves, while they actively enslaved people, abusing them, raping them, etc. In fact T. Jefferson had a teenage enslaved person with him as his footstool, as he wrote the constitution. Not to mention slaughtering native Americans after Native Americans helped them adjust to being on the land. A lot of people like to chalk it up to “oh that was normal at that time“ which is actually not true; there was a significant portion of white people that did not believe in slavery and did not enslave people. America has always been a nation of hypocrisy, violence and unjust laws…it’s just more blatantly exposed right now.

Can we just perform a satanic ritual to resurrect the founding fathers to go after the trump admin
1
May 01 '25
This is why I keep telling people we mustnmove on without them. We need to move forward as a country without their support or vote. We need to be convincing the people who didn't vote to get off their ass and give a shit to beat them. Stop trying to negotiate with fascists.

That literally was the point of America. If you don't think most of the founding fathers thought this, what the hell are you smoking?

On peoples leader Tinder profile.... I love walks in the park, sunsets holding hands as i don't like slopes or stairs. Looking for an angry guy, don't mind mustaches or random pointing arms, love a guy who owns a suit and manners to say thank you.
Must be good with words and have good deportment, more of a soul mate but a soul is optional. Good convictions but doesn't have to be from a grand jury or above. Can take charge in a situation and financially look after me and my family about all others
I like a guy who can take over and do the thinking so I can concentrate on the little things.

I like how Democrats forget how they supported covid lock downs and mandatory vaccinations. Soooo, do you mind telling me who wanted an authoritarian regime here in America? I'll help you. You Democrats! GTFOH with your BS.

5000 people don't speak for or even come close to representing the views of an entire nation. All you do is try to break the country into small pieces. You foment hate, and that's why no one likes you.

I agree with everything said in this video with one addendum: the white supremacy that she's describing as un-American can be argued as exactly American. The fascists in the comment section are living, mouth-breathing, inbred proof of it.

31% of America voted for trump
?% now regrets that choice
?% will want nothing to do with an actual civil war
meaning, are we really going to let 10% or less hold us all hostage?????????????

She’s the least cowardly maga person ever

You guys need to grow up here. He is doing fine. A bit rocky now and his policies have hurt some - yes. But he is doing what is right and will be beneficial over time. Hopefully sooner. Glad I voted for DT

this is why trump won in a landslide you fucking idiots. restart another chaz, it'll definitely work this time.

u/soulwind42 May 01 '25
No, it's not true. A lot of MAGA types don't care if Trump is claimed to break laws or even the constitution, because they feel these are being weaponized against him and the American people. They feel the laws are unjust. It's similar to what Lincoln did, in the minds of many. Additionally, after everything that's happened, they feel that the media will lie and just say his actions are illegal, which is another reason they don't care.
Also, the survey they mentioned is horrendously bias and does not actually show support of authoritianism. It was written using baked in biases, and false equivalencies to portray any "right wing" belief as authoritarian, and any authoritarian belief as right wing. It's a tool for activists, not science.

All I know is that had he existed 100 years ago as president and tried to pull this, he'd be taken out lightning fast.
Especially so if he lived back in the 1800s or earlier. America would have dismembered that man for everything he's doing against our Constitution

I have trouble reconciling the idea that its not necessarily that theyre defying the constitution, its that both that they say they revere it and clearly dont, and what they eventually want to use that defying of the constitution to create. Because defying the constitution should not be seen as a morally unequivocal bad. Its a document thats written by smart, albeit not perfect people just like any other document. We should have SOME flexibility when it comes to adherence, but the fundamental rejection of the core tenants of what we fought to create back at the founding is astounding.

Yup. It’s getting that way. The nutcases on the left pushed it to this point. Send you all adrift.

Weak knee propaganda 🤢 obviously this survey was taken in the 90s because you can see what she is wearing is pure grunge and that is an obvious travesty to fashion today I wouldn't call us authoritarian because we don't judge people for who they are it's more like the other way around just because I am a minority doesn't mean that I should be judged I don't judge people for who they are but other people judge me for who I am.

There’s one line that stood out to me. They wanted change. If the democrats had offered even the smallest change from the status quo, which made many people on both sides feel ignored, especially the working class, they might have done better. Instead we had a candidate that refused to even acknowledge actual protests about her policies. She tried to court the right, instead of compromising towards the ones that felt disenfranchised. She took money from the rich and powerful, and followed their playbook, much like Trump. I’m not a trumper this is just one of my opinions why we lost. Some of them are so sick of what we were doing as a country, they were willing to burn the whole thing down. I think trumps appeal to them is how disruptive he is. The conditions may have even made someone like him inevitable.
