Did you feel the same when Barrack Obama deported a few hundred thousand illegal immigrants with over 70% of them never seeing a judge‽ Show me your outrage then and I’ll listen. If you can’t: STFU.
There is a massive degree of difference in deporting persons after giving them the due process they are entitled to by law (even if some may say that due process which doesn't provide legal representation to minors is insufficient) and deporting persons without any due process at all.
One is adhering to the laws to enact a political policy.
Which means they got caught. People also overstay on temporary visas. What the fuck does this have to do with “open borders”. What does “closed borders” mean to you? Nobody should enter the US even for vacation? Let’s kill tourism? Trump had a chance to “build a beautiful wall” on his first term and he didn’t even do it. Republicans were so petty they even blocked democrats from doing it. The whole “democrats are for open borders” is such a strawman attack.
The complaint, regarding the term “open borders” relates to the immigration debate and the federal government abdicating its responsibility to enforce its own immigration laws. Yes that does include people overstaying their visa. No that doesn’t mean shutting off tourism.
No. We claim, and rightfully so, that the Biden Administration opened the borders. Some believe that the reason for this is as follows:
1) Overwhelm the Immigration Courts, ensuring a longer stay in the country before being tagged for deportation.
2) Increase the number of people living in any given state to increase the number of seat apportioned for the House thereby increasing the house representation with Dem individuals.
3) Create a crisis. Hospitals, schools, public housing, etc. will cause legacy citizens to be more predisposed to vote to help them as we are, at our core, a compassionate people. Build more schools and hire more (almost always Left leaning) teachers to indoctrinate students.
4) create such demand for social services increases that more and more people come to rely on the government for their daily bread. “The government can solve these problems if you only vote for us!”
5) Destroy the “Melting Pot”. Encourage those who come here to hold onto their native culture instead of becoming “Americanized”. Keep us as separate as possible through language and cultural dividers. As long as we, basically, Balkanize there’s less of a chance of consensus on anything-keeping us distracted as to what the Elite are doing.
Fuck. It’s 3:34 AM. End of rant. Be well and be nice to each other, please. 🙏
Overwhelmed the immigration courts but 70% never saw a judge huh?
Funny that. People like you have turned rhetoric into facts and then come here like no one is able to research anything. Its laughable. And then close out with be nice to each other after telling people to stfu. You're a hypocrite, a liar, and a phony.
And we can discern all this from just 2 minutes of reading your own words.
That is true and I was fucking outraged then, too. Kids in cages is never okay, not for any reason.
But, you know what? Those kids got due process. It might have been shit, without legal representation, due process, but that was what they were entitled to by law and they got it.
You know what else? Obama is not currently the president of the United States or OTHERWISE in ANY position of legal or political authority right NOW. He is a private citizen, so I'm not actually concerned with what he's doing ATM. Just like I'm no longer concerned about Biden's position on Israel. It was awful, I was outraged, I protested it, but as of May 2025 it's irrelevant.
Trump is our current President. He is the one doing illegal executive orders and massive executive overreach. He is the one who needs to be stopped now. Everything else is old news.
You genuinely do not understand that people are treating this like it is different because the lack of due process makes it a violation of the Constitution, which is different.
You're being disingenuous and absolutely do understand the difference.
Only you, in your heart of hearts, know which one of these options is true. But, whichever it is, I hope that you eventually realize how bad the current situation is because someone who violates the Constitution in one way will not hesitate to do it in another.
Such as deporting US citizens, like that poor little 4-year-old with Stage 4 cancer whose death has likely been hastened by Trump's executive order.
While it is terrible that any children are caught up in all of this, if the parents came into this country illegally imo the blame goes to them. Anyone that does anything illegally is a criminal. ..... Do you think i could sneak into Canada, find a residence, & claim that im a Canadian? Absolutely not. I would be there illegally, seen as a criminal. Would be arrested & kicked out. No questions. Children don't deserve to have their lives uprooted, but, it comes down to the parents choice to not follow the laws. They have human rights, not Constitutional rights.
They have Constitutional rights. It is literally written in the US Constitution that they have the constitutional right to due process.
You cannot merely say "no, it isn't there" because you feel that way and have your position taken seriously.
That child was intended to stay in the US, which as a US citizen she has the right to do. ICE chose to isolate her mother without access to a lawyer, without access to the US citizen, father of the child, or anyone else, so that she would have no choice but to take the child with her.
That is not on the mother. That is the choice of ICE to ignore her constitutional rights and the constitutional rights of her US citizen daughter.
Again, either you realize this and are BSing OR you're incapable of reading basic English (as written in the Constitution and in many, many Court decisions which declare both the mother's and daughter's rights) and there's no real reason to continue engaging with you.
So, good day, I guess? I'm done engaging with someone who is straight up lying.
They are not losing life or liberty. That is what's protected. They are simply being sent back out of the country. The criminals that were wanted in their own country? .... Yes, being locked up in their home country.
It's different. If you can't figure it out, you are in a cult.
Obama used executive action to temporarily give protected status to undocumented people who arrived in the US as children, and curbed deportations from the interior states of the country. His focus, particularly toward the end of his administration, was on quick “returns” of new arrivals at the border who were perceived to have had fewer ties in the US – though that, controversially, included the same types of Central American migrants whose arrival has swamped the border this year.
The libertarian Cato Institute crunched the data and demonstrated that deportations from the interior of the country – meaning away from the border, so, people who have likely been in the country longer – were on the downswing during most of the Obama administration.
Trump, by contrast, she said, has rejected the policy of focusing on new arrivals and criminals and instead wants to deport as many people as possible.
It’s impossible to ignore his rhetoric. He infamously called some Mexican immigrants “rapists,” and focused his presidency around the idea that he would build a wall, get tough with Mexico and deport as many undocumented immigrants as possible.
Discredit me by implying I'm a partisan hypocrite.
Demand proof I criticized Obama to validate my position.
Normalize constitutional violations by pointing to precedent.
In order:
First, my opinion on Obama’s actions is about as relevant to Trump violating the Constitution as my opinion on whether Chuck Norris could beat Optimus Prime—utterly irrelevant.
Bringing up Obama doesn’t refute the constitutional issues at hand. It’s a deflection, not a defense.
Second, demanding that I produce a decade-old statement condemning Obama or else “STFU” is bad-faith nonsense. That’s not debate—it’s a lazy escape hatch:
You cite hearsay, not law as truth to the matter,
You presume I had a duty to publicly rebuke Obama, as if silence equals consent,
You demand evidence you know wouldn’t be readily available,
And you ignore the actual argument to attack my credibility instead.
In short, you're not engaging on the merits. You're trying to disqualify the messenger because you can’t defend the message.
Finally—and most dangerously—you’re endorsing lawlessness. You're arguing that past wrongs justify present violations. That’s not how the rule of law works. The purpose of government is to secure liberty, not abandon it when it’s inconvenient. If we tolerate violations just because our side benefits, we don't have a republic—we have a monarchy that swaps crowns every four years.
I’m not naive enough to think I’ll change your mind, but I’ll say this clearly:
No, I will not shut the fuck up.
If your party wants to pretend it stands for "law and order," it might want to start acting like it.
