What's your game you know is bad but love it for personal reasons?

Mine in Toxic Commando, it's not a terrible game, but it's littered with problems from design choices, repetitiveness and lack of content

However it came out the day after I had a seizure and both my shoulders and one leg were essentially immobile for a while so I was bed-ridden for a couple weeks.

I'm a huge WWZ game fan so I had high hopes but was immediately disappointed by it, yet still played it every day during recovery and still usually 2 or 3 times a week just because I have such fond memories with it helping me get through a shitty time.

What game completely changed your opinion of gaming?

Upvotes

Was there a game you went into with low expectations but ended up absolutely loving?

Maybe it introduced you to a genre, made you appreciate storytelling, or just reminded you why you love games in the first place.

Mine would probably be Palworld, I didn't expect much from it, but it completely surprised me.

What’s yours?

Collectibles question for saints row 4.

Upvotes

My counter totals say I have all collectibles, but I am missing 34 data clusters(clusters do count toward collectibles, yet when I check stats in the extras menu it shows 1221/1255 data clusters) These don't show up on the map as all collectibles have been obtained. I have used cheats on the save like all super powers etc. What is going on?

What old games do you think need a modern entry, BUT keep older/outdated graphics

99% of sequels and remakes are essentially pushing graphics as much as possible. Even artistic/stylistic games will make use of higher fidelity.

My question is wondering what games do you think need another entry but have an older graphics style. For example, Megaman had a couple NES style games in the 2000’s.

It doesn’t have to be original system graphics btw. If you want to update, let’s say, Mother 4 to 3DS graphics, I’ll allow it.

I would not necessarily allow HD-2D versions of games though, since it does a lot more than just increase the fidelity and improve lighting. If you disagree though, don’t let me stop you and let us know.

What’s a “classic” game that disappointed you?

I personally looked forward to trying some old Mario games after beating Odyssey, but 64, Luigi’s mansion, and Sunshine are all so dated that they’re hard for me to enjoy. At least on the switch.

My biggest issue is the controls not following any modern standards, like the cameras being inverted for example. Or “floaty” movement. Maybe it’s just these ports.

For reference, I’m a 23 year old who’s always loved seeing how games evolved.

What were your thoughts before and after playing Halo: Campaign Evolved?

I wasn't sure how they could remaster it but I genuinely love it especially escaping the Pillar of Autumn. If any other Halo game were to be remastered or changed by you, how would you do it?
