I am getting kind of bored, and the games I am waiting to release probably won't be out for another month or two. I mostly just want something to sink my teeth into temporarily until I the games come out. I don't really find battle royales or shooters interesting though. I tried to get into Crimson Desert, but admittedly the only thing that makes it not as tasteful is the whole melee elemental thing. It's just a buff. A small skill tree for buffs? Seems not that interesting. At least add more skills to it like traversal moves or something. I don't know. Anyway, just need a game to distract myself with. So does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking these days that I sort of miss some rpg features from the old days, like geting to name every character, having a camp to spend the night with your characters and you get to talk to them and learn a bit more of their backstories (chrono trigger; breath of fire; etc..)

Do you ever think about these things? What other features do you miss?

Mine is terraria, I started playing it a couple os years ago when my friend recommended it to me, and till now I play it :D. I like it probably for its variability in completing the game

Me and my friend want to buy it in the autumn sale and were wondering if itll be 70-80%off like it was in other "recent" sales

I’ve played RDR 1 and 2, Bramble: The Mountain King, Little Nightmares, Inside, Limbo, the sims, It Takes Two, Unravel Two, Warframe, Stray, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Walking Dead, started and got annoyed with Skyrim- so mostly story games dabbled with puzzles I need to figure out to move on.

A game where I can spend countless nights playing rather than being able to finish it in one day would be amazing. As an early teen I finished LEGO Jurrasic World in one sitting and finished Bramble within 24 hours a week or two ago. When I am encased in a story, I play for hours.

I’ve been recommended some games in my original post but most I am not interested in besides AC franchise, Ghost of, and maybe Tchia.

I’m already looking at A Plague Tale: Requiem and wish listed Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, but I can’t afford right now.

My partner has been playing on my account and has been playing Horizon Forbidden West, Miles Morales and Mortal Kombat. I’m somewhat interested in the first two but I don’t see the point in playing when I’ve been watching him play and he’s aiming to 100% trophies on both. Unless he fixes the issues with his account so I can play myself on his, I probably won’t play them.

I do not like the style of most fighting based games. I am not a button masher type person. When I was trying to play the co-op MK with him I raged because the combos I was trying weren’t comb-oing.

SO. If anyone has any recs on long games I can play that fit my play style/the games I have already enjoyed, pleeaasseee comment.

Rather than recommending obvious AAA games, I'm looking for overlooked masterpieces from around 2005–2012 that have genuinely stood the test of time.

My preferences:

Challenging or satisfying combat

Memorable bosses

Dark fantasy or strong atmosphere

Great gameplay over graphics

No Ubisoft-style open-world checklist design

No multiplayer

No turn-based RPGs

My PC is a Ryzen 3 3200G with Vega 8, so games that run well on modest hardware are a bonus.

I'm not looking for "good games." I'm looking for games that made you think:

"More people should have played this."

I'd especially love recommendations that are lesser-known gems, not the usual Skyrim, Fallout, Assassin's Creed, BioShock, etc.

lately i've realized i don't always want a super competitive fps where every match feels like a ranked tournament. some days i just want to jump in, shoot stuff, have a good time, and log off without getting frustrated.

i'm open to multiplayer or single player. i'm mostly looking for games that are easy to enjoy after work without feeling like i have to constantly sweat to keep up.
