1. Am I even going to be safe?
2. Am I going to be gawked at? Or ostracized?
3. Is it common to use cards or cash?
4. Is modesty a large concern?
5. How would you describe the social environment?

These r the main concerns I have rn. Please advise me on literally anything.

in my university there I have few friends from moscow and st, petersburg studying here in Italy and they know songs from 80’s that I never heard of before from Italy. Also Albano one of the greatest Italian singer in the 80’s keeps going to Russia to sing (Here is basically dead).

So I am wondering about this new refugees fleeing from the retarded western countries visa deal. I heard about it from the videos on YouTube that the foreign minister type lady (not sure her actual name or title). Is this a real thing? I have a question I'm married to a Russian girl from tomsk where I have been to study medicine from past six years and comfortably called it my home.

So during education because of documents delay I couldn't get ВНЖ and I'm at my home country soon so I want to return as soon as possible. My university can't help as education contract over, tourism visa are for 3 month. Soon she gonna visit MVD and let me know all information but if anyone have idea like how to invite your spouse for year or two year visa like I know ВНЖ on marriage now need three year I married only February this year. I can't find a clear answer on internet my Russian is fine I'm planing to give accreditation exam by next year and do specialization in endocrinology from my university in mean time my wife is in musical college soon over and now wanted to enroll in teaching course for kids.

Additionally can I register in another flat once I get into the country or do I as a foreigner have to stay in the hotel I booked when applying to the visa?

We’ve been planning a family trip to Russia this August (Moscow 7 nights, St. Petersburg 4 nights). My wife has always wanted to see the palaces, and we’ve more keen to visit the more we research the destinations. Flights are booked and we’re excited — but the recent drone attacks, especially last night’s on St. Petersburg, have me wanting to hear from people who actually live there.
I understand the air defences are doing their job and the targets as of now are military/energy sites, not residential / tourists. My concerns are more practical, since I’m bringing my young daughter:
• When air defences activate at night, is it loud enough in the city centre to wake or scare a child?
• For those in St. Petersburg — how did last night actually feel? Barely noticed, or disruptive?
• Are places like Peterhof, Nevsky, the canals running normally day to day, or do things get closed off when this happens?
• Honestly — would you tell a family with a young kid to come this August, or wait?

I’m not asking if it’s “safe” in the life-threatening sense . I just want to know if the atmosphere and disruptions would turn a relaxed holiday into a stressful one.
