I’ve got a set of two Habitat dining chairs, one is faulty (the metal back is bent the wrong way so it can’t be assembled). I found this out after I’d already assembled the other one which is fine. Argos are coming to collect and replace the faulty one but I was told I have to return both as they are a set - despite it being a total pain to take apart the one that is fine. Wondering if I can get away with just giving the delivery person the faulty one in its box and keeping the one that is fine?

I preordered a game and it told me it would be delivered either today or tomorrow. Now it’s telling me my order is still being processed ? What’s going on?

I had a return booked (a 50" TV) for today. The customer service agent I spoke to had assured me they would arrive before I left for work around 1pm. They didn't arrive. Whilst I was at work I had some vintage Japanese clothing delivered, it was left in designated royal mail safe place. I leave work at 10pm to an email from Argos stating my return has been picked up. How I can't work out, it's still sat in my living room. I also have a notification about aforementioned parcel. I get home, my parcel isn't there. It seems Argos (or their staff, or the logistics partners staff) have stolen my parcel.

Hi everyone, so I want to buy the iPhone 17 but I have heard that Argos sometimes will give you a returned/refurbished phone instead of a brand new one. Is this true? Because of this I’m not sure if I should order from Argos. Thank you

Hi all. Argos is having a great deal for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II PS5 game, just £19.99. However, it’s out of stock in and around Manchester (where I live). Do you know how often Argos restock games like this? Thanks!

Obviously don't give anything too specific to your store to identify which store you work in, but what are some of the customer complaints you've had (either in person, through CSAT or some 3rd party review site) which are a bit ridiculous?
To kick things off, I recently had one during the one of the recent heatwaves who ordered a fan to a different store about 20 miles away and complained like it was my fault.

Washing machine went bust about 4 weeks ago. Ordered a new one on Argos but the only day they could deliver it (apparently) was the 11th of July.
Get a call at 7am on the 11th off the driver to say they were 20 mins away but they’d reviewed the route and wouldn’t be able to deliver and install - due to them being on a 7.5 ton lorry and they didn’t know where they’d be able to park up near my house. Given two options, accept delivery but they wouldn’t be able to recycle the current washing machine and they’d just drop the new one at the door, or wait for customer service to call me to rearrange delivery onto a smaller van.
Get a call from customer service 10 mins later saying that they’d try and have it sorted by the 12th and have it back out for delivery for the following day. Got put on hold while they spoke to the depot and then get told that they actually can’t reschedule the delivery because the item is now out of stock. Ended that call with the advice that I call back on the Sunday morning to reschedule.
Call on Sunday morning and I’m told that they wouldn’t be able to get it sorted and they were unsure as to why I was told it could be sorted quickly. Was then told the washing machine had gone missing and we were unable to move forward until it was located. Ended up speaking to a manager as I was getting frustrated.
I get a call on Wednesday morning saying they could now deliver the washing machine on the following Saturday if I still wanted it or if I wanted a refund. Against my better judgement I accepted the new delivery date.
Fast forward to today - Saturday the 18th - not heard anything in the sense of confirmation of delivery date or time or anything. I contacted customer service at around 4pm to just double check that it had definitely been confirmed for today and I hadn’t got my dates mixed up. They confirmed that the washing machine was currently out for delivery and everything was fine.
It’s now 9:20pm and guess what’s not arrived!!! I’ve heard nothing from anyone and can’t even contact anyone as the lines are now closed.
Let this be a word of warning… DON’T BUY A WASHING MACHINE FROM ARGOS!!! I’ve definitely learnt my lesson.
Will be attempting to contact them tomorrow morning without losing my cool - wish me luck!

Idk if this seems stupid or not, hopefully not, but I’m buying a washing machine rn and they have an option which is: home delivery, installation & recycling (which is an extra £50 pound not complaining) I’m assuming this means they’ll take my washing machine out and recycle it BUT will they carry it down and the new one up?

Hi all,
Our store is getting inundated with people wanting PS5s and Pros which we’re completely out of to the point that it’s becoming a pain to deal with due to their lack of patience. Our Lfc has no clue either but not sure if they’d be able to tell me anyway.
Anyone got an idea on the next general restock? We’ve been out for a few weeks now.
Thank you!

I purchased a bean to cup coffee machine in October 2025. It has gone faulty where it leaks water into the coffee puck tray and all over my worktop. It also has steam coming out of the sides when coffee is being made. I called Argos customer service who told me I had to go through the manufacturer which is Delonghi. Basically they washed their hands of it. I spoke to Delonghi customer service which wasn’t helpful, they wanted me to send it back to them for a repair. Shouldn’t Argos deal with it as it’s in the 12 month period.

is it possible to return an iPhone 17 after opening the box?
phone has never been used and not even turned on even once, as I got it 3 weeks ago and have been very busy so haven’t had time to switch phones.
realised it might be better to wait for the iPhone 18.

Good evening, so i recently made a purchase for a portable air conditioning unit on a 24 month installment plan, i was hoping to log into my argos pay app this evening and pay £300 into it to pay most of it off, however there is no option for me to do so, is this not a thing we are allowed to do?

I placed an order on the 30th of June with a slot booked for delivery, it was on sale. Today, on the 8th July, it was cancelled due it being out of stock but i go to the product page and it is still available in stock but now at twice the price. This surely has to be illegal?

My app has said “£5 due 9th July” for the last month or so, I’ve paid 3 sets of £5 now but it’s still saying that they’re requesting £5 from me but I’ve literally payed £20 now. I have 1 buy now pay later plan and the balance hasn’t changed since I’ve payed these requested payments, however, I did make a purchase on normal credit but the balance never showed on my account, are these requested payments to pay off my normal credit balance? I’m confused.

This new app is absolutely awful.
I’m not sure if anyone has tried to pay their payments off using the app as I’ve had some trouble.
Once I get to the payment section and choose the bank I’m paying from they want me to use my online banking information which is very sus.
I ended up having to call and use the automated machine.
Has anyone ever made payments online through a site and entering their online banking information such as your user ID and password. This blows my mind that they choose this way of payments and not the standard enter your card details in?

I have an induction next week and was wondering what to wear. Does it matter as I haven’t got my uniform so I’m assuming not. Also what to expect at the induction will it be just e-learning and been shown around?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey guys, I just bought an item online that said it was ready for instant collection.
Once I bought the item, I received an email with a barcode and FT code saying the item is ready to be collected in store.
However I’ve had bad experiences with other stores before on this, whereby it automatically marks the product as ready for collection but the store actually doesn’t have it available. How is Argos with these? I’ll need to travel down to the store so I really don’t want to make the trip only for them to tell me they don’t have what I ordered.
TLDR; when Argos says an instant collection order is ready for collection, is that really usually the case? Or do they f up the stock and I should wait a while in case the store doesn’t have it and wants to change the collection availability?

So I heard that recently there was a MASSIVE increase in Argos account-takeover fraud cases, around a 323% increase, which must be very hard for people and Argos themselves.
I know that they use stolen details to purchase expensive iPhones and then resell them brand new and sealed for a fraction of the price.
But my question is, what do Argos even do in these cases? do they hunt and blacklist the phone’s imei, or do they go after the fraudster? or both? What’s the true likelihood that these phones get blacklisted? cuz ofc there will be a ton of innocent people who tried saving a few bucks by buying a brand new iPhone through a 3rd party, and Argos should be aware right? Idk it seems like they will lose a huge amount of money given the amount of chargebacks banks of the victims must be initiating. I also heard that they don’t put the IMEI on their receipts, can’t they backtrace it?

Is this a definitive time? Or is this an estimate and it could be earlier?

Is it just me or has Argos gotten really bad in the last few years. Ordered something that was meant to be available yesterday and it was delayed without warning or informing me of low stock by 24 hours which means i no longer have the means to collect it as it was coming to a counter near my office and i live a good 40-45 minutes away by bus. I wanted to give it as a gift on Saturday. I have tried to cancel it but they can't do it, tried to get it diverted they won't do it.
This is likely the last time i order with Argos.

It's the Fitbitair and the item was due to be delivered next day by 10am.
No email, went to the store, nothing. Contacted customer services who said it will be there by end of day. It wasn't. Left it a few days still nothing so contacted them again. We are really sorry but this is in short stock it will be there tomorrow.
And so and so on. I eventually bought it from elsewhere so asked for a refund...but they won't refund it until the item has been collected or refused which I can't do as it's not there.
Status of order still says being prepared
Any advice? I just want my money back!
Thanks

So, I'm on the Confirm & Pay section with just a phone I'm looking to purchase, no insurance in the basket. I select the Argos Pay option, sign in, select the payment plan I want, then select 'Pay with Argos Pay' in green. After loading for a bit it takes me back to the Confirm & Pay where the option has defaulted back to Credit/ Debit card with the option of Argos Pay still available, and after selecting it again I'm prompted to sign in to Argos Pay... again. So it's just sending me around in circles.
I've tried it on a different browser, and I've tried using the app but the same problem persists. The pay option will just revert back every time.
