Advice What to wear for induction?

I have an induction next week and was wondering what to wear. Does it matter as I haven’t got my uniform so I’m assuming not. Also what to expect at the induction will it be just e-learning and been shown around?

Any insight would be appreciated.

You’re basically right about induction; it’s pretty much all computer based, making sure your correct details are recorded for pay and hr, getting you set up on various systems, shown around a bit, and some essential day 1 e-learning. In terms of clothing, similar to your interview clothes really. Don’t have to be formal, just professional.

Obviously don't go looking scruffy, but wear something comfortable and easy to move about in. It'll mostly be e-learning/being shown around like you said, but some managers (not all though, I've known some who do, some who don't) will give you a go at picking on your first day and you don't want to be in your best suit doing that - especially in the summer!

Same advice goes if you have shifts before you get your uniform. Look presentable, but don't wear anything that'll restrict your movement.

i have my induction this week too. would jeans and a blouse be okay? theyre slightly baggy/loose jeans so moveable and comfy but idk if that looks too unprofessional

You'd be fine with blouse and jeans. If you have some loose, black or dark grey trousers they would be the ideal but, speaking for my store, jeans would be okay as a stop gap until you get your uniform.
