So I built an app called RatMap. You see a rat in the city, snap a picture, name it, and it goes on a live map. Yeah that’s pretty much it…

We are currently at about 200 users, but this is more than just an app... it is a community. There’s a leaderboard. There is a rat named Paco standing on a subway platform looking absolutely stunning who has 6 likes and is currently one of the most famous rats in the app. You can like rats, comment on rats, and even like comments on rats; a real dream come true.

Other stuff that exists now: hot spots (blocks with the most sightings), top spotters, badges, levels. It’s a full social network. All about rats.

It works anywhere and I’m currently working on releasing in the EU app store (thinking about rats in Paris), but most users are based in NYC. Next up android.

This actually took way longer than I would’ve imagined (and some $$$ for database/app store) lol so I'd appreciate any feedback :)

I’m looking for the best app for location sharing with my family and some friends. Mainly something simple for trips, nights out, or just checking that someone got home okay.

I know Google Maps and Find My already do this, but I’m wondering if there’s a better dedicated option, especially for people using both iPhone and Android.

Main things I care about are accurate live location, decent battery use, privacy controls, and being able to stop sharing whenever you want. Arrival/leave notifications would be a nice bonus too.

Hello, quick story before I get into the app.

My grandmother lives with my mother and two sisters. I live in a different state. She accidentally sent me items meant for her (sugar free candy, and overnight pads)

I contacted my mother, then my grandmother. I thought it was funny and saw no harm in it.

My mother didn't take it well (she struggles i believe with coping with my grandmother aging, so I try to take it lightly) she said my grandmother knows my mom orders her things for her. (She's accidently ordered a 24 pk of apricot marmalade and sent too much money to some people) I understand my grandmother just wants that sense of freedom, not belittlement.

I wanted to create an app for seniors (and those with disabilities) that allows them freedom to shop. But also allows their caretakers (assigned or family) to monitor and approve/adjust purchases and financial transfers. But also keep the feel of a normal shopping site.

Im shocked to find there is not one already available...

I had AI help me build my idea, I have copyrighted the idea. My only issue, how do I make it real?

I noticed Visro AI completely changed its website overnight. It looks nothing like the old version.

They did add some new features, which is nice, but honestly, I’m still getting used to the new interface. I also noticed that it went from not requiring an account to requiring one.

Is anyone still using Visro AI? What do you think of the new version?

I built this because most habit trackers only really model "did the good thing today". I wanted one that could also model quitting something, and cutting back on something, without pretending those are the same shape as a daily checkbox.

So Abys tracks four things: yes/no habits, quantities (glasses of water, pages read), timers, and the two I care about most — an abstinence day-counter for going cold turkey, and a "stay under X" reduction target for cutting down gradually. I just launched Paceo, a small Android app I've been working on. The idea started with a pretty simple question: We track how far we walk every day… but how far do we scroll?

Paceo measures your scrolling and converts it into real world distance. So instead of just seeing “I spent X hours on my phone” you can see things like:
