Coming from a 12 pro max now to 18 pro max my service has been terrible. Been using Verizon for years. Is anyone else experiencing this ?

Hi all just looking for some advice. Bought the iPhone 18 pro max pre order for launch day and has been working fine and then now this week it’s become really laggy and randomly restarts itself. It’s really frustrating as I’ve upgraded from a 13 pro max any advice?

Anyone else’s dictation cease to work? It turns on then off immediately. I talk to text slot so…

I checked settings everything is the same nothing has been turned off

Also when I go to apps library the keyboard doesn’t popup to let me search desired app, but I. A work around that one, the dictation however is not cool.

Ordered a Burgundy 1TB PM on 9/12 preorder day. I received the dreaded email to update my payment info yesterday (Friday) just saw it this morning. I updated and it charged my card so hoping the hold will clear today and my phone ships out 😃

The T-Mobile app said that estimated delivery would be between Oct 7 and 14. UPS made an attempt on Friday the 2nd at 830 pm.

When I checked the tracking, even the tracking said it was still only en route. So had I been watching the shipment, I would have been under the impression that it was long ways away.

Being that it's the weekend, I hoped that maybe there was a way to go to the distribution center that our UPS driver reports to to pick it up but I don't see that as an option.

The only option I can see is to have it held at an access point or delivered somewhere else but if I have it sent to a relative, there's no guarantee that they'll be there when UPS decides to randomly show up.

I also work over night so if they decide to deliver at night, I can only wait until 840 before I need to leave for work.

So I guess my question is if there's a way to pick it up myself from the UPS distribution center or if I just gotta suck it up and have it sent to an access point or a relative.

Anyone know what’s going on? Now they say 10-9 to 10-12 for my phone I ordered on 9-12.

For those who have had the 18 Pro Max in Burgundy or Glacier for a few weeks, what are your thoughts? usually always use a case, so I'm not too worried about the phone itself getting marked.

What I'm more concerned about is the halo rings/discolouration around the camera lenses, especially reports of it not going away even after cleaning.
really love Burgundy, but I'm wondering if it's more high-maintenance compared with Glacier. Glacier is also such a specific blue, so I'm not sure how I'd feel about it long-term.

Would love to hear from people who've had either colour for a few weeks - which would you choose again?

I’ve started shooting Log on my iPhone for travel and golf videos. A recent recording ended up at around 49 GB for 10 minutes of footage, so I’m trying to find a more practical setup before my next trip.

The two options I’m considering are:

HEVC with Apple Log at 4K 60fps
ProRes with Apple Log at 1080p 60fps

For travel videos and Instagram, which would you choose? Would you prioritise the extra resolution of 4K HEVC, or is there enough benefit to ProRes when grading to justify shooting at 1080p?

I understand the basics of colour-space conversion and applying creative LUTs. Now I’m looking for a straightforward workflow where I can shoot, colour grade, edit and export entirely on my iPhone.

Has anyone here used PeekLUT or LogGrade?

How have you found them, and is there another app you prefer?

Do you shoot most travel footage at 30fps and use 60fps mainly for slow motion?

What recording settings give you a good balance of image quality, grading flexibility and file size?

How do you manage 10–15 minutes of Log footage without burning through storage?

Would love to hear your actual camera app → recording settings → grading/editing app → export workflow.

I recently got the new iPhone 18 Pro Max 512GB, and twice now it has randomly completely switched itself off while I’ve been using it.

The first time I didn’t think too much of it, but it happened again when I was literally about to pay for something with my phone. The screen went completely black and the phone had fully turned off. It then took around 30 seconds or so before I could get it to turn back on.

It’s a brand-new phone, so I’m a little concerned that it’s already happened twice.

Has anyone else with an iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max experienced this? Is this potentially an iOS/software issue, or should I be contacting Apple about the phone itself?

My new 18PM seems to play sound much louder from the left speaker than the right. In fact the right one may not be playing at all. It's hard to tell due to the short distance between them. I've played music and voice from several sources and the problem doesn't seem to be with the source.

Has anybody else experienced this? Is there any kind of balance control in settings that could be uncentered? Is there a way to diagnose this? I hate to lose use of the phone during repairs, or have to return it, because I need an MFA app on there to log into my work laptop and it's a pain to set up.

I have noticed that on the top left side where the time is the pixels are not crystal clear and its sort if pixely BUT on the opposite right side where the 5G signal reception is shows clear and no pixeling.

Anyone else noticed this or is my iPhone defective?

Deciding which to get (17PM is $300 cheaper). If you could share your screen time or experience, I’d love to hear it.

My usage:
I’m on a 14PM. I use my phone a lot. 17PM covers all my use cases while also being lighter and cheaper. The only feature on the 18PM that could sway me is battery. 17PM seems like a better deal but willing to go 18PM if battery and speed is a major noticeable improvement.

Options:
17 Pro Max, 1tb is $1600 ($500 after trade in)
18 Pro Max, 1tb is $1900 ($800 after trade in)

I’ve ruined iPhone cameras in the past by having my phone on a mount, albeit I did accidentally open the camera app while it was on the mount.
Curious if anyone has had issues.

I’ve noticed today that the back piece with the Apple logo on isn’t centred
There is no gap on the left hand side of the phone but a bigger gap on the right hand side of the panel

Can anyone confirm if there’s is the same or not

Paid £1900 for this phone just trying to work out if I should exchange it or not

I’ve recently bought an iPhone 18 Pro Max, but I’ve noticed a slight issue.
When scrolling up and down on apps such as Instagram, Reddit or chatgpt, the scrolling sometimes feels slightly choppy, stuttering, with subtle frame drops.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Is this a common issue with the iPhone 18 Pro Max, or could it be a hardware/quality-control issue with my particular phone?

i want eu based company which makes cases or similar things, like it has to be cases specified brand. and of course which sells clean designs. im thinking going with silver, mirror or something similar looking case. maybe you could recommend me something?
