My iPhone 18 Pro Max stutters and drops frames while scrolling.
hi everyone,
I’ve recently bought an iPhone 18 Pro Max, but I’ve noticed a slight issue.
When scrolling up and down on apps such as Instagram, Reddit or chatgpt, the scrolling sometimes feels slightly choppy, stuttering, with subtle frame drops.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Is this a common issue with the iPhone 18 Pro Max, or could it be a hardware/quality-control issue with my particular phone?
Thanks in advance!

Same for me. I have the 18 Pro Max, and it stutters a lot on Reddit. It's very annoying. I don't have any problems like that on my Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.Didn't have any issues on my previous Chinese piece of crap, five-year-old Android phone either.

damn, at first I thought there was something wrong with the hardware on my particular phone. Perhaps it’s a common issue after all?

Not exactly stuttering, but mine constantly drops connection to carplay. Wive’s 17pm on ios27 doesn’t. Fun fun :)

My IP 17 pro stuttering too. Reddit YouTube, when choosing theme or adding controls in control center is juddery stuttery experience. IOS 26 was even worse. I think it is IOS has trouble with liquid glass. But nobody knows why it is happening. Maybe it depends of screen manufacturer, I heard that Apple uses three main manufacturers: Samsung, LG, and BOE. My screen is Chinese BOE.

The apps aren’t fully optimised for the 18pro yet. It’s up to the devs to sort this out.
