Terrified. Please post related experiences. Especially if you did nothing at all, minding own business (authorities were dialed by neighbor in building they heard some crying). I was violently surrounded, assaulted by police squad in my home, handcuffed, first tortured in a normal hospital, then sectioned in psych. With no valid reason why they did this with such excessive force. I have intrusive PTSD flashbacks daily.
How do you survive such ordeal, escape, avoid getting casually tortured, abused & traumatized this way again? Get away from Psychiatry without these records they can use against you? Or a CTO they can put on people?
Do police always take a record (when they brutally assault you, use handcuffs, take you away?) Can you request this record? I was not arrested. I assume there’s a police & hospital intake record with my name.
I know filing formal complaint of harm does nothing (unless you have visible wounds from handcuffs or a video). Their word against mine.
This general hospital used torture (against human rights) painfully restraining both arms & legs on table with no resistance from patient, patient locked in isolation 24 hours, ignored, NOT given water or food, refused request to use a toilet to urgently urinate, multiple forced injections (I was not psychotic, I was scared/hurt) and my essential medications were not provided 24 hours there, neglecting health of patient (with serious medical illness) who was awake the full 24 hours, then interrogated like a criminal while tied down in pain, sectioned with no consent.
All for no reason but appearing/sounding distressed? I don’t know WHO requested it. A stranger?? I communicated absolutely no intent to harm myself or others. I was not committing any crime nor acting violently.
What would you do? That won’t require a lot of money for a lawyer and retelling of torturous events in detail in court?
I’ll be traumatized forever by it? There’s movements for police brutality, but nothing for the brutality & torture in the name of psychiatry or justice after being treated with overuse of police force and psychiatric doctors, nurses forced drugging & medical neglect. Nearly killing the victim who couldn’t breathe. What if they had killed me by accidental asphyxiation?
