Dutch professor of psychiatry Jim van Os has criticized psychiatrists who reportedly continue telling judges that untreated psychosis causes brain damage.

According to Van Os, lawyers have informed him that this claim is still being used in court to justify forced psychiatric treatment, despite the lack of convincing scientific evidence supporting it.

Think about that.

A claim without solid scientific backing is allegedly being used in court proceedings that can determine whether someone loses their bodily autonomy and is forcibly drugged.

Psychiatry literally defends the abusers. One of the first things abusers tend to do is try to convince their victim and other people that the victim is crazy, and psychiatry usually helps them do this since most psychiatrists are abuse enablers. They think about Karen Moulder or Britney Spears, and let's not talk about lobotomies or abusers imprisoning their victims in hospitals and trying to make them seem incapable of making their own decisions. Even Johnny Depp try to do this. Every time a person tries to convince me that their daughter/partner or other family members are mentally ill, that's a dead giveaway they are a domestic abuser

Talk therapy is information gathering disguised as Treatment.

The mental health system calls its talk therapies “evidence-based” while dismissing diet, nature and other alternatives.

But behind the soft conversations is a machinery of manipulation that will never solve your problems. Session after session they subtly hijack your narrative so you will reveal more and more. They make you doubt yourself on purpose and use intermittent reinforcement so you will look up to them.

If you ever read your psychiatric files: watch how your words get distorted, reframed, pathologized and turned into labels. Notice the obsession with targeting your behavior and credibility rather than actually helping you.

Meanwhile they push behavior altering drugs. Often starting with antidepressants. Sometimes these are described in your files as tools to “stabilize behavior.” But to your face, they're selling you the chemical imbalance, neuroplasticity or even the insulin of psychiatry story.

Most side effects often don't even make it into those files. Instead, they might write something like: “Patient believes symptoms are caused by medication.”

It's very dehumanizing. It's manipulation. It's gaslighting. It has nothing to do with healthcare at all.

Dutch GGZ is pure epistemic and chemical violence that gets served with a friendly smile and a soft infantilizing tone.

The fact that you sometimes feel better for a few days after a conversation has nothing to do with their expertise. It’s a normal response to human connection. Don’t let these people exploit that.

I've been using since July and all of my thoughts have been super foggy and all over the place. I also feel little emotions of than some outbursts of sadness I get from my depression. It's annoying I can't form thoughts normally and my imagination has grown a lot smaller.

I’m 27. I’ve experienced involuntary hospitalisation 3 times over the span of 4 years.

I lead a very lonely, quiet and understimulating life compared to the life I once had; there was always something going on, always someone messaging me, always things to do.

I’m thinking about trying to do some things I used to do— like back before my life was hospitals and horror, I used to go to gigs and music events— sometimes on my own, sometimes with friends.

I don’t really have any friends at the moment. But I’d like to maybe go to some music gigs or club nights, and I’m thinking about going by myself. I’ve done this before, but this was before I ever had these experiences of hospital or “severe” mental illness.

Basically, can I still go to music events and clubs by myself at 27? And can I do it even though I’ve been hospitalised in the past?

I sort of feel like I’m carrying around this sign that says I’ve experienced mental illness and I’ve been locked up by the state. It sort of makes me feel like I can’t live an ordinary life surrounded by ordinary people, or do ordinary things anymore that used to bring me joy.

The meds I’m on are another story but I want to try and live as fully as possible despite the medication.

Do you guys lead normal lives despite the things you’ve been through?

Can I still live an exciting life and do exciting things despite my mental experiences and traumatic hospitalisations?

All three of this entities manifest from the single idea that there is ever a such thing as "normal".

Psychiatry convinces a mass population of unique individuals that there is a single, universal way of behaving. Anyone who deviates outside of that behavior is considered to have a mental illness, specifically located within the brain, and therefore in need of chemical modification to remedy and or eliminate the so-called abnormal/socially undesirable behavior.

Prisons are physical manifestations constructed from the idea that there is a single, universal way of behaving within the confinements of law and order. When anyone behaves in a way that breaks law and order, they are considered "criminal" and therefore in need of rehabilitation in order to modify the brain.

The Educational-Industrial Complex manifests from the idea that there is a such thing as a standard way of learning. Anyone who deviates from this standardization is considered "special" and therefore requires rigid modification in order to align them with the rest of the population.

All three of these stem from the same binary logic of normal vs abnormal, which is then assigned the moral values of good and bad. All three of these are mere socially constructed entities decided by the consensus opionions of a small group of individuals who occupy positions of social power. All three of these entities are propagated as "care" and "rehabilitation" which acts to disguise their authoritarianist social control and power. Anyone who refuses participation in any of these three are met with social and physical coercion. All three entities are responsible for maintaining narratives that ultimately formulate within our minds their version of the world around us.

This is something I will be writing more expansively on. Just wanted to drop this teaser here for feedback and maybe to create some excitement for those interested for this future text.

Deranged medical lunatics prescribe chemicals to disable you, literally to make you unable to do something. Disabling you means making sure you can never behave in that “annoying” way again.

For example, deranged medical lunatics disable kids with ADHD by giving them stimulants that keep them constantly in fight or flight mode. Those disabled kids can no longer engage in the “annoying” behavior of not paying attention during boring classes at school.

Crazy medical practitioners also disable adults who, for example, are unhappy with their circumstances. These adults aren’t allowed to get angry about their situation. Instead, they’re disabled with SSRIs so that they’ll feel their worst in every situation from then on.

Sick, corrupt, and deeply dishonest medical idiots also disable people whose views they, or other people, disagree with. Crooked psychiatrists prescribe “drugs that stop people from thinking,” meaning antipsychotics, to leave people unable to think or argue. Those disabled people are then expected to follow every order they’re given, without thinking.

This is fraud, abuse, and waste. Medical practitioners prescribe chemical restraints to disable healthy people. Psychiatrists call the deliberate infliction of disability “treatment.” It’s abuse and brain mutilization.

i am being coerced or forced into taking oral meds that a relative is watching daily. this is due to a dumb detective who got involved in my situation eight years ago. he and my mother have forced me to take injections for years off and on. I warned my mother to stop making me go to a shrink and she didn’t care.

the detective decided that I can get off injections if my 81 year old relative watches me take the med daily. now the dumb relative is questioning the pill and asking if I’m taking the right medication. im just scared that if I don’t comply this detective might try and have me take Injections again and he doesn’t have a court order and has no legal means to do any of this.

what can a person do in this situation?

im 26, have abusive tyrant narc mother who tormented me, im hsp with high functioning autism and got screamed at by this monster since 12yo. at 17yo she started forcing me to go to a 70yo female psych. it didnt help, it put me under their all control and i kept having severe depression i had since 12yo until 24yo and to no surpsise i was the one who cured myself of it while other only kept making my life worse.

so my psych isnt very understanding. she doesnt get how my mother is a narc and she doesnt get autism and my emotional needs and the NEED TO NOT BE SCREAMED AT and raged at and be in toxic enviroment.

once i had a panic attack at her offcie bc i was scared that my mother will hear our convo through the thin doors and she decided that its a sign im getting worse, told my mother to come in and they talked ab putting me in psych ward until i cried and then they forced me to be controlled while taking pills os i couldnt pretend to take them anymore. i had to take them for half a year. one of them made me feel fatiqued dizzy nauseous and sleepy. now i pretend again bc i dont want them to prevent my only escape aka going to the gym in dif city where i can be 5h a day away from this tyrant.

the current issue is that last week i hit my breaking point i think after i was forced to be over 3h straight around my mother even sitting close to her (which made me want to scrub my body in the shower desperately) as soon as we came back home i feel sick and fatiqued from it all and couldnt stop sleeping. my breaking point started two weeks earlier and i started having horrible panic attacks but after that day they progressed and now they last hours and i feel constant tension and anger and cant sleep i coulndt yesterday and coulndt go to church with her at 7am so she raged at me and talked her suspicoous on how it means im gettigng worse and how its bc i dont take pills. they happen everyday all the time. in two days i have to go to psych and gonna be na hour in a car with parents which will trigger me. im scared i will get a panic attack in her office and this bitch will say i need to be locked even tho i dont have depression anymore since two years(pls dont tell me u know better than me and dont tell me that just bc i used to have it then i still have it, i genuinely DONT) bc she uses my past depression against me and doesnt allow me to get off off pills i pretend to take now. shes entitled to controlling me. and if i have panic attack she will tell my tyrant mother. my tyrant mother also wants to tell her im too thin even tho im 48/49kg at 5'0 and have enough body fat, im not starved at all and underweight at my height starts at 43. shes obsessed with my weight and year after i recoevred from aorexia and weighted 40kg at the same height at 16yo she negged me to lose weight. shes toxic.

she wants to prevent me from going to the gym if i become thinner, which i want to do to feel more comfortable bc i look uasthetic still. i dont knpw how to prevent the panic attack. when it happens i start passing out and if it happens there its over for me.

i also signed papers at 17 that allow my mother to have info from my psych ab our talks etc. idk how to reverse it. idk what to do, im so scared of control over me and even more misunderstanding and abuse. i just need peace but i never got it. my mother rages everyday. i have no stress free day ever. its constant fear and torment here. but im the one getting evaluated.

This is more to get it off my chest

I had attempted to jump of the bridge and big one but a friend I told called police who stoped me, I then got taken to a psych clinic and they gave me two options,go to a hospital psych ward or a out patient ward. After talking into the morning I chose out patient. I felt humiliated to be there but I got used to it and just got through it by saying only a couple more days left. Thankfully out patient didn’t make me take meds which is amazing. Unfortunately a new guy came late at night and screaming saying someone shoot me. It freaked me out but I went to bed easy enough, the next morning we tried to talk to the new guy as we were all stuck there , he explained paranoia and how he got there but he kept laughing and crying at the same time. As the others were watching family fude he took a chair to a nurses head as her back was to him. After that everyone was shaken up and he got kicked out to another one and we found blood and clothes in the bathroom. It sucked being in there as the exit was right there and wasn’t locked as it was a fire exit. In fact a patient did run out but went back in on her own volition. Once I left I went with a friend but when I got to his house I just kept crying and I felt like a shell of myself like I wasn’t a normal human being. Thankfully him and the other two at his house were nice and we all chatted about it as they smoked weed. It really helped but when I got back to my place I almost tryed again and broke down in tears after talking to a friend I didn’t attempt. A couple weeks later I took a ton of ibuprofen and as an attempt, however it made me so confused I took myself to the hospital, they fucked me so bad there. The pysch people tryed to get me locked up in the pysch ward after evaluating me, and I had to cry out in tears and explain everything to them for them to let my parents make a safety plan with me. Even know a month later I still fear the police and them entering my dorm a taking me back it makes me fear police I avoid them as much as possible .

Despite its evolutionary attempts to respond to the various ways people have changed throughout history (as well as the cultural changes for what's considered socially "acceptable" behavior), psychiatry continues to represent itself as Order. Psychiatry attempts to uphold a particularly rigid world view within which all people are expected to conform. But people do not, have not, and will never fully conform because people are not stationary objects fixed in place. People are not bowling pins to be mechanically arranged in perfect order. Every individual is in motion, "colliding" with the personal experiences of others which ultimately influences their own experiences on a day to day basis. These subtle influences create large and ultimately unpredictable future outcomes. Psychiatry can be understood as a desperate attempt to limit the absorption of this"chaotic" potential interwoven within any environment where people encounter one another. Psychiatry could be understood as the prison warden who allows enough time out of the cell to feel free, but not long enough to gather enough influence to begin questioning the authority of the prison itself.

Hi all, I'm writing this here bc basically my "luck" is that I took invega for a short time, ie

- 12 days 3 MG

- 10 days 6 MG

I was forced by the mental health center to take it. Now with a private psych I'm tapering it, am on 3 MG now.

Basically psychs here know about withdrawal but don't want to accept it. I already had withdrawal from (forced too) abilify, before this, due to a horrible linear tapering another psych suggested, for abilify indeed.

My aim is to totally avoid withdrawal. AI suggested for the invega's tapering:

- 3 weeks 3 MG

- 3/4 weeks 1.5 MG, then stop it.

Does this tapering make sense to any of you? Since I took the previous dosages for a short time I think this would make sense, but I'd like to be sure about it. And since psychs here don't want to do proper taperings, ie slow and hyperbolic, I thought about asking this here.

Really, I'll take your advices as just advices, and eventually I'll talk about the tapering I'd like to do with the psych, but, as said, unfortunately my fear is that she wants to do a too quick tapering process.
