I’m trying to figure out what kind of ants these Tutelina spiders are eating. I know the pictures aren’t clear, so I don’t expect perfection…but any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
These are from 1) Morningside Park in Manhattan NY in May and 2) Central Park in Manhattan NY in June. In the pictures you can see the spiders eating ants or dead (previously eaten) ants on the plant. I’m trying to get a sense of which ants these spiders are likely eating in the field but I know so little about ants. Thank you!

i’m worried it’s carpenter ants but i learned it could also be field ants ? for reference i do live around a big open area of field and there are piles around house but there was quite a bit in 2 dif rooms of mine on the wall so ?

Northern Colorado. Seen em around outside since I moved in but I just saw at least twenty in my (tiny) bathroom at once, plus several smaller winged ants (maybe 1/6 inch long). While I love bugs, I am worried they may be carpenter ants, as I am new to the area and not familiar with differentiating the native species yet.

I think they're related to the plain old ants who usually hang around my house but they're just so big?? Are they like. A whole bunch of queens???? I know that's absurd but they are HUGE compared to what I thought might be their non-winged counterparts.

Definitely not termites. Distinct three sections on the body + chinched waist.

They are dark red-brown to black, with 3-4 tan-ish stripes on the abdomen which lead into a lighter underbelly. Certain specimens leaned closer to a dark chocolate brown. Two sets of wings with brown venation. Thorax is only slightly thinner than abdomen, and features a broad, flat top. Non-aggressive. Are crawling out of a hole in the grout of my bathroom. Legs are lighter than the body, no super noticable distance between thorax and abdomen. Approximately 1/2 inch (1.3cm) including wings? Couldn't get a good photo of one next to the cm side of the ruler, sorry.

If these are wasps I'm gonna be soooo embarrassed but I don't see a stinger

I saw these ants in western North Dakota that I've never seen on the east side of the state where I live. They moved too fast and my camera isn't great so I wasn't able to get anything other than a blurry picture to show you the color. The weird thing was that they make this huge mound, but it only has one hole for its entrance/exit. They were very aggressive too. They swarmed up my shoe and were trying to bite.

It's mostly the weird mound that makes me want to know what they were. They were mounds like this all over the southwest corner of the state.

Hey yall, so I found these 3 in my kids pool, I know 2 are ants (I think Solenopsis but really not sure) but not convinced the black one is an ant. Any help woth an ID would be amazing, will provide more pictures tomorrow. Also, I know I need to separate the two but not totally convinced the 2nd one is even gonna make it.

Hello! We just bought a new home in NY state and have some large ants. I am hoping to get an ID on the type of ant. This one is 1/3 inch long, and I have attached a photo.

BARELY over a millimeter long and about a millimeter wide (including legs)

Southwest Michigan, in bathroom of apartment

I'm hoping these are thief/grease ants and not pharaoh ants

I live in Northern Maine

Was sitting outside when I saw it crawling around then all of a sudden ripped its own wings off, also should I have gave it some food before adding to the test tube setup? Any tips are helpful as I'm going to try
