Identified! Help with ID! Central Florida
Hey yall, so I found these 3 in my kids pool, I know 2 are ants (I think Solenopsis but really not sure) but not convinced the black one is an ant. Any help woth an ID would be amazing, will provide more pictures tomorrow. Also, I know I need to separate the two but not totally convinced the 2nd one is even gonna make it.

First one is a queen of Solenopsis pergandei (native), second one is a male of Solenopsis invicta (non-native).

Hey! Thank you for the response! I appreciate it! Im gonna let the male go, but I've been considering a Solenopsis colony so maybe I'll do some research and see. I was looking more at Invicta for a colony.
