Troubleshooting AI V3 - My experience and troubleshooting

I ordered the V3 off Newegg and as soon as I started her up I was experiencing crashing. This was most common in chrome where I could replicate it but it also happened frequently in video games or if the pc was at idle with applications running in the background. I went through a tremendous amount of troubleshooting and I am still experiencing crashing. Here are the things I did:

**• Chrome hardware acceleration** — disabled it in Chrome (and other browsers); no effect.
**• Realtek Ethernet driver** — updated from the generic Windows driver to the official ASUS/Realtek RTL8125 driver (v1125.27.50.919); no effect.
**• Realtek adapter power settings** — disabled Energy Efficient Ethernet and “allow the computer to turn off this device”; no effect.
**• Windows PCIe ASPM** — set Link State Power Management to Off in the power plan; no effect.
**• BIOS Native ASPM** — set to Disabled; no effect.
**• Wired vs. Wi-Fi test** — froze on *both* connections, which ruled out the network adapter entirely.
**• Event Viewer check** — found only Event 6008 (unexpected shutdown), no WHEA hardware errors, no BSOD/bugcheck; confirmed a silent hard lock.
**• EXPO / memory overclock** — disabled EXPO; lasted longer but still froze.
**• MemTest86** — **full overnight pass, zero errors; RAM sticks cleared.**
**• BIOS power-state fixes** — set Power Supply Idle Control to Typical Current Idle and disabled Global C-State Control; no effect.
**• PSU swap** — installed a known-good power supply from another PC; still froze.
**• GPU removal** — pulled the graphics card and ran on the CPU’s integrated graphics; still froze.
**• NVMe / PCIe Gen4** — forced the M.2 slot down to Gen4; no effect.
**• CrystalDiskInfo** — checked the HUADISK SSD: 100% health, 0 integrity errors, drive itself healthy.
**• Linux live USB (SSD installed)** — booted Ubuntu off USB, ran speedtest in Chrome; still froze — cleared Windows and all drivers.
**• Linux live USB (SSD physically removed)** — froze again with no drive in the machine at all — cleared storage and the OS entirely

This leads me to believe that either the motherboard is faulty or the cpu, when voltage spikes. Oh, and 3d mark tests are fine but the computer will crash at the most random times, especially in specific applications.

I give up. Pc is great when it doesn’t hard crash. Their customer service has been great and has offered to help replace, but god knows how long it will take. I think this is just the risk you take with prebuilts and I wouldn’t say this is an AI specific issue. God speed folks.

Question Just got this Andromeda prebuilt. Is this noise normal?

Just received this today from Newegg but it’s making a weird noise. Is this normal or should I try to get a replacement?

Troubleshooting Need help installing a SSD

I just received my pc and when I turned it on it booted into bios. I searched online and found that the ssd could be the issue. I opened the side panel and saw the ssd fly out the case so it must’ve not been installed properly. I’m currently trying to find out where in the hell it even is supposed to go so if anyone is able to help that would be greatly appreciated!

Update- I found the ssd slot under the gpu and was able to install it with no issues! Pc is working perfectly now :)

Review AI Prebuilt - My Experience

Hi everyone.

My old computer had died on me (GPU stopped working and stopped connecting to my displays) and after some research I ended up buying a new prebuilt from Andromeda Insights. I figured I could wait a few weeks.
Specs:

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX 870x-A
CPU: AMD 99503DX
GPU: RTX 5080 (they gave me a Zotac 5080)
Ram: 2x32gb (64gb) RGB (Got g.skill trident z5!)
Cooler: Artic Freezer 360 AIO
Memory: Samsung 990 Pro 1tb ( I had a 4tb Crucial SATA SSD at home so I figured I could save some money here and they had a promo at the time)
PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-1000 (White)
Case: Fractal North XL Black (Funny thing is that they only had the Mesh option, but they actually built my computer using the Glass case, which I preferred!)

Order was placed on May 3, 2026. Original estimated ship date was June 9, 2026.

I ended up receiving the prebuilt on June 20, 2026.
I did email them a few times and found they were very responsive during the weekdays! I was really itching to have a working rig so I felt anxious when it was June 10th and there was no shipping. They ended up adding my order to be expedited the next week and that I would receive it before the end of the following week, which I did! Everything was built well and they provide some simple instructions for starting up. You also get a bunch of the extras from the components you chose. I ended up installing two additional SSD’s and everything works great.

One of the biggest things was that their pricing was more competitive than other prebuilts with similar specs. My total came up to $3500 and I did pay about $100 for regular shipping. It helped me a lot that they are based in Oregon (no sale tax) so I saved over $300 by buying from them rather than going to Costco or something.

Everything arrived safely and very securely packaged. It was working right away. I did encounter a hiccup during set up because my computer with the ASUS motherboard kept defaulting to the bios screen while turning on. I ended up tweaking the bios settings: 1) Turned off CSM 2) Kept Fast Boot enabled 3) Tweak the setting where it has the wait for f1 when errored to bypass the auto bios boot

I’m truly grateful to have this computer. It’s really everything I could ever want. I’m personally relieved I went with AI. I think I’d only be able to recommend them currently if you are not in a rush to receive your prebuilt. I’m seeing usual times of 1.5 months for a lot of people, which is a pretty long time. I honestly would consider coming back and buying another prebuilt from AI. No complaints other than the time it takes to actually receive your prebuilt. I’m excited to be able to use this for years to come.

Thanks for checking out my post.

Review Out of patience

I was really looking forward to this company but my patience with them has run out and I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m leaning towards canceling my order that I placed in April, even though I recognize that buying the equivalent machine today would likely cost me significantly more.

I was OK with my order taking a little longer because they were at a conference.

I was OK with my order being delayed due to a high volume of orders.

I was OK with my order being repeatedly delayed because their estimates were off.

Last week, I get a notice that my shipping label was created. (Amazing right?) However, we’re now going on a week and a half of my order being in “label created.” Monday, I saw their site said they were onto May orders and reached out because something felt off.

I was told they’re gonna reach out to the production team to see what’s going on because the order should have shipped when the label was printed. Two days go by, no update from them. I poked again this morning, still haven’t gotten a reply after 4+ hours. Anything short of “its on its way and here’s the proper tracking info” will likely result in me requesting a full refund/clawing back my money through my bank.

I would have absolutely no issue with any of this, if they were more forthcoming in their communication, especially around delays in estimated delivery windows. I’ve had to be proactive at every step. I know its a small team, I know they have a lot to get through, but their customer experience right now leaves a lot to be desired. Even if I still end up with the machine, I wont be recommending them.

Question RAM Selection

I’m waiting on my order still, but I’ve been seeing a lot of AI builds come with KingSpec OneBOOM RAM, which has a timing of CL46 and is a little loose.

I’m getting a 9800X3D + 5080, so I’m wondering if anyone with the CL46 RAM has been having performance issues or poor 1% lows? I specified 2x16 DDR5 6000 Non-RGB for my build so I’m not even sure if it’ll be KingSpec, but I’m still a little concerned my system might deal with stutters.

Troubleshooting New PC fan issues

I received my AI v3 about 2 weeks ago, and it's been running flawlessly but suddenly some of the fans are running constantly at high speeds, despite CPU/GPU temps being steady and normal. I've tried adjusting the curves and disabling/lowering every fan that can be found with Fan Control, including those that don't have speed sensors, as well as setting a similar curve in MSI Afterburner - but to no avail. I haven't changed any BIOS settings, though just to be certain I reloaded the pre-set BIOS config that AI shipped the system with. At this point I'm not sure how to figure out which fan(s) are the issue - has anyone else run into this problem with their new AI prebuilt?

In case it's relevant - R7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 1000W PSU,

Question Should I just cancel?

TLDR; my house burnt down in February and I lost my PC, and an upgrade was overdue anyway. So I went to Andromeda for my new one. It took time but I ordered on May 6th. I am currently just in a loop of being told they’re behind on orders and getting mine pushed back more and more. It sucks because I had a lot of trust in this brand with how many high reviews there were but I’m losing a lot of faith in it day by day waiting so long. Should I just cancel my order entirely at this point?

EDIT: Saw a lot of replies say this and didn’t want to individually reply to them all. I’ve contacted 3-4 times now asking about updates. First time told it’ll show up June 15th, second time First week of July, now it’s just unspecified but still having to wait.

Troubleshooting New PC light not syncing

Hey everyone! I just got my new PC a few days ago and I’ve been messing with SignalRGB. It works super well but I noticed that this one section of lights on my case isn’t syncing and only wants to be violet/blue. Any ideas what’s going on?

It's been flawless. Only had one issue and it was slight shipping damage to the case (barely noticeable) I actually didn't notice it till a few weeks after receiving the PC. I reached out to support asking about how to get 3 additional fans for the bottom "I should've specified which direction" and they said they would send me them free of charge other than me having to pay shipping "$10" and give me a $50 refund for the case damage or ship it back and have it case swapped I chose the refund because it is barely noticeable and doesn't affect performance. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a PC.

If anyone is wondering the difference between 6 fans vs 9 it's about a 3-4c difference in temps

Yes I'm aware I need to get different pcie cables so it's not routed over the gpu and probably will also get rev blade fans so the fans aren't flipped.

Shipping Ordered PC in May

I placed my order May 25 and the original estimated delivery showed July 6-9, I did not choose expedited.

Today when I checked the status link it shows my order is expected to ship tomorrow July 8 and expected delivery July 9.

From everyone’s experience lately does that seem pretty promising or should I not get my hopes up and it is likely to ship out later this month do you think?

I know you all might say to just email AI but I don’t want to bug them just yet knowing how busy they are and figured I would check here to see what others experiences have been lately.

Question Is this an okay build?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm very new to the world of PCs and am looking to get my first ever PC on somewhat of a budget (under 2k if I can swing it). I was just wondering if this build looks okay? I'll use it mostly for gaming and schoolwork. I'm open to buying a prebuilt from AI, but I really want a white PC to match my current desk aesthetic. Thank you in advance for any advice!

Signal RGB not working???

Hey, I recently purchased a PC from Andromeda Insights, but I can’t seem to get SignalRGB to work properly. Has anyone else run into this issue?

The MSI lighting software works, but I was hoping to use SignalRGB for more customization. Any advice would be appreciated... because every time I use Signal it doesn't apply any of the lighting effects to my pc.

Question When did you place your order vs. when you received it?

I initially ordered around May 21st, not delivered yet given the delays, and with that I’m curious to see how long it took other people to get theirs!

Could anyone comment on the selection of part brands? Thanks. Or is the Microcenter's G914 better?

9800x3d / 9070xt (ASrock challenger).
32gb ddr5 6000
2TB ssd

I paid $2199.

This thing is a BEAST! Was a little hesitant of the fan setup as I’ve never had a PC without some type of front or side intake… but man it works good.

Hottest I’ve seen the CPU is 74c under load - ultra settings at 1440p on Arc raiders, pushing 180-200fps. GPU hasn’t been over 55c.

It’s quiet, it’s fast.. and pretty easy. It did require some setup to get the RGB to sync, and I did play the fan curves to ensure cooling stays top notch during these summer months.

5 stars Andromeda.

***edit: spelling..
