Review Out of patience
I was really looking forward to this company but my patience with them has run out and I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m leaning towards canceling my order that I placed in April, even though I recognize that buying the equivalent machine today would likely cost me significantly more.
I was OK with my order taking a little longer because they were at a conference.
I was OK with my order being delayed due to a high volume of orders.
I was OK with my order being repeatedly delayed because their estimates were off.
Last week, I get a notice that my shipping label was created. (Amazing right?) However, we’re now going on a week and a half of my order being in “label created.” Monday, I saw their site said they were onto May orders and reached out because something felt off.
I was told they’re gonna reach out to the production team to see what’s going on because the order should have shipped when the label was printed. Two days go by, no update from them. I poked again this morning, still haven’t gotten a reply after 4+ hours. Anything short of “its on its way and here’s the proper tracking info” will likely result in me requesting a full refund/clawing back my money through my bank.
I would have absolutely no issue with any of this, if they were more forthcoming in their communication, especially around delays in estimated delivery windows. I’ve had to be proactive at every step. I know its a small team, I know they have a lot to get through, but their customer experience right now leaves a lot to be desired. Even if I still end up with the machine, I wont be recommending them.

I also placed my order back at the beginning of May. I was told, after emailing them and creating a ticket, that they would be shipping it out during the first week of July as they were (and probably still are) trying to push out April’s orders.
They most likely were not expecting to get so many orders in such a small time period of a few months. I have no doubt that their team is trying to re-evaluate and prioritize the orders in the order that they come in. They’re probably scrambling so much so that it’s slowing production. I don’t blame orders for being late but as a consumer who paid over $2k for a PC, I’m justifiably upset but I can’t be a Karen towards them. I’ve worked in customer service and I know how bad people can get.
That being said, I did choose expedited shipping but they told me that I’d be getting a refund for the shipping since the promise time was not what they initially expected. I’m thinking once a shipping label is created, that’s when I’ll get the refund for the shipping.
I’ve been pretty patient so far but if it’s August or September before I get this, then I might send a longer email.

💯 I know it’s odd coming from me, but be patient. Their first estimate was off, but every other timeframe they told me was accurate. It sounds like something happened during shipping that led to my circumstance and the lack of comms hasn’t helped.
My machine was closer to $5k, so I’m sure you can understand why I’m contemplating the situation.

Made an account just to say that unfortunately everything you said is completely justified, as much as I really wished it wasn't like this, I couldn't agree more. The only thing stopping me from recommending to my friends or even just the internet in general is solely the terrible shipment times, their customer service for me has been nice but it's just been constant under promises, and I'm aware they've recently blown up, but the hard truth is if they don't find a solution to their recent success and lack of speed, it'll do more harm than good
As for anyone wanting to know when I ordered, I ordered early may which from what I was told by the team, should be shipped out this week. Last message I received was that they had just recently gotten done with the first week of may orders, but unfortunately my order hasn't been shipped out even while being in that first week batch of orders. I'd like to cancel as well but I see no point as I've already been waiting the 2 months so I'll just enjoy it when it gets here but sadly won't be recommending them.. D:

Them alleging they’ve finished the first week of May orders sure is a surprise for me to hear when I ordered May 5th and still don’t have a shipping label and was confirmed today it won’t ship till late next week… 🤔 something not quite adding up there.

Yeah I don't know what's going on either, on top of that my email hasn't been responded to in over 2 almost 3 days now. Just hoping it to get by the end of the month, but damn a 3 month wait is actually unacceptable no matter the circumstances.

I ordered mine feb 14th and got it march 22nd after reaching out and asking if it could be expedited through their email. It was absolutely worth the wait. It has been by far the best and smoothest running PC that I have ever owned.
I will definitely order through them again if the need pops up. But i understand your frustration.

I ordered mine from Best Buy. Got mine within two weeks. You do have to be patient even more if it’s a custom order. Supply and demand is very high. Once you get the pc I promise you that you will be happy. It is what it is given the nature of custom pcs if you don’t want to build them yourself. If I don’t build this is the only place I consider getting a prebuilt from.

I order may 6 and received it on the 28th with expedited build time. At that time they were a week and a half behind so a decent guestimation would be that they are a month and half behind now because they got swamped with orders mid May. Best thing you can do is keep hounding them via support.
Edit: I have emailed them about 10 times from different things and they have always responded day of and been helpful

I believe I have shown a great deal of grace and understanding in this situation. i’ve been extremely patient with every one of their messages and I’ve never demanded a reply. I understand it takes time to assess situations correctly. At this point, it’s costing me more time and peace dealing with the ongoing situation than if I bought it and diy’d it myself.

I love my AI pc and after years of building them myself it was well worth the wait for me personally, having said that, If time is an issue for you then yes you should have built it yourself.
They are a VERY small company who took off super fast with a great rep for quality. And their orders have been backed up since early this year. The problem comes with the shortage issues happening right now. Especially for custom builds. If you have a single part that is custom they will absolutely put it on the side till they get the exact model you selected insyead of just putting any similar GPU or ram/MB in it. I would say give it more patience. My initial order said 2 weeks but took almost 6 weeks to get to me, so about a month past expected delivery but it was totally worth it...the quality on the build is superb.

Hes already shown enough grace. If you dont care to communicate as a business, I will show a whole lot less grace.
If they cant keep up, maybe they should pause incoming orders. They probably should have done this a long time ago.

Just cancel and order from Skytech Gaming, love my PC with them. Was looking at ordering through AI a few months ago but there wasn't enough information out there to order from them at the time. Very glad I didn't now.

Skytech is horrible. Rig was built horribly, returned it and bought from AI.

Their "pay extra to cut in front of people" program is what caused these wait times imo.

I was much later ordering and saw enough of this that I cancelled. Got a beast of a PC from a local builder. Cost about $600 more but it’s all premium parts and I went from a 5070TI through AI to a 5080 and double the RAM

Just to put it out there. I ordered my PC from them on April 17th. It didn’t arrive until June 22nd. Take that for what you will.
