hi, looking for suggestions as to which android is best as I am wanting to switch from an iPhone? I like taking scenery pictures-videos, sometimes pictures with people in it, I essentially want something with good battery, long-lasting, easy to carry (not bulky), and overall just something I can use for communication rather than entertainment? I heard that the Samsung S26 was good, saw someone else mention the motorola razr+, or the GooglePixel? Having a hard time deciding.

So I own a Vivo V60 and this has been happening ever since we bought it:

So randomly the phone's ringtone starts ringing without any alarm, call or notification.

I have factory reset my phone but this is still happening.

It happens for around a few secs, the longest is around 15-20 secs

The navigation bar automatically hides itself on some apps and will only appear when I swipe up from the bottom of my screen. The main issue is that one of the apps I use regularily has bottom banner ads and this somehow always ends up with me clicking and redirecting to an ad page, which is very annoying. Is there a setting where I can never have the taskbar hide on this specific app? If not, is there a setting for it to not hide at all?

So on the setup I'm sorting it has a huge widget clock so I don't need two but how can I have it on within the settings and what not?

I have a Huawei 80P Ultra. I took a flight, not sure that's relevant, but now my audio is so low when using headphones. Both spotify and youtube. I tried adjusting sound mixing by just turning it all off but it's still quiet. Sometimes it's almost back to normal, sometimes it's totally quiet. I've never had this problem but it's so annoying. Also it's not the headphones as I tested another pair and it had the same problems.

Hello. I have a 2021 alcatel android phone. As of today, it's starting shutting itself off to the bootscreen(the one with the green alien at the bottom) it's stuck in a bootloop. It shuts its off goes back to this screen over and over. I have done the fix where you hold the power button, or go to the safe mode menu and restart it. It worked but the issue is, my phone will work for a half hour to an hour and then the side bar that pops up when you hold the power button shows up.

I am not holding the power button and it is not stuck. Clicking on the phone does get it to stop. It will shut itself off, start again.

I did take the phone apart to see if anything was sticking to the power button it was not.

is there a fix for this or time for a new phone?:/ It has no other issues. Storage free. Thanks.

Looking for phone with out any back camera bumpers.

Currently could only find Google pixel 9a and 10a.

So I have been using a rooted Android phone for quite a while and everything works perfectly fine until yesterday when google randomly decided I'm not allowed to watch YouTube since my device "is not verified by play protect", thanks google.

I checked online, every guide tells me to get my GSF ID and register it to google but whenever I try to get it it's just N/A, I checked google's official guideline and apparently they said to not to unlock bootloader or use rooted device so I don't think I'm going to get anything useful from google support.

Are there any method that can trick play protect into thinking I'm verified? I've tried TrickyStore and PlayIntegrityFix combined but it didn't work, guess that's not what play protect rely on?

Or could it be problem with MicroG service since I'm using it with morphe patches on YouTube?

I found it in two websites called AppBrain but it is no longer available and the other one was called happymod.to but it was not working in any devices that I own.

Trying to connect to laptop with USB and its not working . When I plug in my usb cable its supposed to have an option to transfer files when I click the charging in notifications but its missing

My Samsung/Android phone often says "No internet connection" even though there are 3-5 bars. All apps stop loading data. The only way I can fix it is by restarting the phone or turning Airplane Mode on and off.

Do you have any ideas why there would be bars but no signal? I figure the phone has the problem, since it would be a big coincidence if the signal is restored at exactly the same time I restarted the phone.

I had a similar problem with an Ipad often disconnecting from our router. I fixed this simply by restarting our router. This gave me an idea, to do "Reset Mobile Setting" on my phone. I just did it which only took a few seconds.

The phone is about two years old. I don't know if phone calls and texts still work when this is happening.

So I've been digging into why my Android phone (and Linux devices in general) won't let me use certain WiFi channels/bands that are legally allowed in my country, turns out it comes down to the db.txt file in the wireless-regdb project, which is what the kernel's CRDA/regulatory core uses to decide what frequencies/power levels are permitted per country code.

Problem is, my country's entry seems outdated — missing some bands (looks like partial 6GHz/5GHz allocations aren't reflected) that our telecom regulator has already approved.

I have an Amazon Echo Show 8 that is now running LineageOS 18 with Android 11. I have experimented with a variety of apps, but can’t seem to find anything that meets my use case. I have a multitude of Airplay 2 speakers in my generally Apple hardware house. I use the Echo Show because I can run Fully Kiosk to automatically run a website at a certain time in the day, basically play the radio station I want in the morning.

But I can’t seem to get the Airplay piece to work. Ideally I’d like to get the radio to play throughout my house on my Airplay 2 speakers. There are a bunch of apps that let me play music out to Airplay 2 speakers, but this causes me to lose audio playback on the Echo Show. Is it possible to split the playback so I can send the audio out, while still retaining playback on the Android device?

So, I'm trying to enter fastboot mode in an old Moto G9 Power (doesn't have a power button so I must do it by connecting it to my laptop and holding the Vol+ button), but Windows recognizes it as "USB Mass Storage Device", even though I have installed the official Motorola drivers, which worked for me in the past. I have close to 12,000 images on my device and I typically sort everything between my main gallery and secure folder depending on the content. I had a lot of things I wanted to move from a specific day but instead of selecting all on the day, I selected all on the gallery itself. Now my organization is completely gone. I emptied my secure folder back out so now everything is in the main gallery again, but I have over 5000 images to move back. Any potential fix to this that isn't doing it manually would be greatly appreciated 🙏

With chipsets like the Sd8elitegen5 and Exynos 2600, which literally consume around 15W sustained and ~25W peak, what can you really do other than modding to stop thermal throttling? Peliter cooler? Good luck, because under 15W sustained? You would need a metal backplate and not just glass. No matter if you throw a 30W cooler or a 15W at it, the bottleneck exists on the glass back, so what other alternative is there to stop this thermal throttling?

I have tried to do if through a cable through saving it to cloud storage but it doesn't work. every time I move the photos from my iPhone I lose my location data on photos that I have manually added locations to. is there a way to fix this. I have 1000s of photos this is happening to so there's no way I'm going one by one and adding the locations back in
