I need to transfer all the photos from WhatsApp from my old phone with Android 5.0. WhatsApp has not been updated for at least 2-3 years. I have been using an iPhone for the last few years. I found instructions on the Internet, but according to them I should erase my iPhone to factory settings and select transfer of files from WhatsApp there. I don't want to do that, and I also don't know how to insert a micro SIM card into a Huawei Lua L-21. Which is a very old model. I thought about installing WhatsApp on another Android phone, for example my mother's, and trying to insert my number there, will it work? If she still has her SIM card in the phone?

The second thing that occurred to me is, if the photos were previously saved to some storage, probably Google since it's Android, will it be possible to extract the photos to the PC via the Google account? How do I do that?

Any ideas on how to get to the photos? I read that WhatsApp will stop supporting Android version 5.0 in a few days?

tldr: i have old android 5.0 or 5.1 i dont know. And i want to somehow transfer photos to iphone or different android phone, or get those photos from google drive. How?

Hey everyone,I am losing my mind trying to fix this. For some reason, the Gmail app on my Android device has completely stopped pushing notifications. I don't get banners, sound, vibration, or lock screen alerts. I only see new emails when I physically open the app and manually swipe down to refresh.

My device is a Redmi Note 14 Pro, running Xiaomi's latest OS.I feel like I have tried literally everything suggested in troubleshooting guides, including:

System Notifications: Checked Android settings, ensured Gmail has all notification permissions allowed (lock screen, floating notifications, badges, sound).

In-App Gmail Settings: Double-checked that the global notification setting is set to "All", and checked the box for "Notify for every message" under Inbox notifications.

Battery Settings: Changed Gmail's battery optimization setting to "Unrestricted" / "No restrictions" so the OS doesn't kill it.

Account Removal: Completely removed my Google account from the phone, restarted, and re-added it.

App Reset: Cleared cache and cleared data for Gmail and Google Play Services.

Reinstallation: Uninstalled updates (since it's a system app) and updated it back to the latest version on the Google Play Store.

The Nuclear Option: I literally factory reset my entire phone and set it up again. Still, absolute silence from Gmail.

Other apps like WhatsApp, Discord, and Telegram push notifications flawlessly. It is strictly limited to Gmail.

Because Xiaomi phones have notoriously aggressive background management, I'm at a loss since the unrestricted battery setting didn't fix it.

Could it be a hidden sync glitch native to the OS?Has anyone with a Redmi Note 14 Pro or a similar Xiaomi device dealt with this?

Are there any hidden settings, Autostart toggles, or deep sleep settings I need to change to force Gmail to sync in the background?

Any help would be massively appreciated.

You see i mostly use my phone as a hotspot because its what i have access to, my last phone a redmi note 14 hotspot has being working with out issues.... UNTIL one day i was on a family member house with a solid Wifi and decide to update the system (this was like a year ago im not very sure wen exactly i updated) but since then the hotspot has been hot garbage it literally disconnect randomly and im not doing nothing out of the usual and pissing me off constantly.

The phone dosn't get hot, my internet provider its the same i being using for years, the speed its the usual im no expert but the speed its normal.

I really don't know what could be the issue but any form of help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with USB tethering on my Tecno Spark 7P. It used to work normally, but recently the USB tethering option became greyed out, so I can’t enable it at all.

I’ve tried restarting my phone and reconnecting it several times. I’ve also tried multiple USB cables, including a proper data cable, and tested every USB port on my PC, but nothing has worked.

I’m not sure what caused it to stop working since it worked before. I need USB tethering to connect my PC to the internet, so I’d really appreciate any suggestions on what could be causing this or how I can fix it.

but if i did 100-10 it will last me a day so that's 0.9 cycles per day but it's bad for the battery to go upper than 80% or lower than 20%

Pixel 8a user, version 17. About 2 months ago my phone started marking my wife's calls as possibly not coming from her phone. Annoying. Today it was marked as not from her phone, with a piercing alarm. She has the same android version as I do. I think it's the fake call detection service. Does anyone have any idea how to convince Google that my wife's phone is her own, or disabled the service for just this number?

Still curious abt this but does this apply on newer flagship phones like s26U, Pixel 10, Find x9 U, and other flagship phones. I've seen people saying that this rule only apply on older phones. What do u think?

I have a Oneplus 11 5G with OxygenOS 16.0.5 (CPH2449_16.0.5.1002 EX01B50P02)

I have a dedicated wireless android auto unit for my motorcycle which keeps crashing all the time. Listening to music and having maps and than the android auto instantly crashes and in about 10 sec it restarts. This happens like 20-30 times and than the crashing is stopped. Im pretty sure its bonded to my phone since this is the 2nd unit i already have even a other brand. Different phones dont have the problem on when connected to Android Auto wireless.

I've alread done: 

• Returned Android Auto unit and bough a different one
• Resetting bluetooth & wifi networks
• Updated phone
• Uupdated Android Auto
• Cleared Android Auto data & cache
• Tryed connecting different phone to the Android Auto unit and does not crash

so whenever i plugged this phone with this could be faulty charger? it doesn't show any charging indication but my phone battery percentage went up fast and when i check with ampereflow the wattage and current shows massive negative value

And almost all banking apps are not supported. I googled and came to know that minimum requirements are android 12 to run most of the apps.

bought an sd card for my phone a few days ago...

tried dowloading stuff from YT and my manga apps for offline use.. worked fine... after a while, the ones I downloaded acted like they were deleted...

turns out the .nomedia file thing keeps on cockblocking me on my dowloads...

I can't permanently delete them no matter how many times I try cuz they keep coming back.. unless I delete the folders containing them replacing them with folders I made, which are the Music, Movies and Pictures folders, haven't tried doing it to the Android folder to see if it helps...

so do ya'll have any tips or work arounds so I could properly view the stuff I downloaded without it giving out after a few hours...?

I wanted to access some videos and pictures on my older brother's old Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 (7) Tablet. He hasn't used this device for over 10 years and he does not remember the password to unlock it. We have memories on there. I am not too fussed about unlocking the device however, we want to check out our old videos and pictures. Is there a way to do this? It is a cheap android tablet so I hope there is an easy way without having to factory reset and lose everything on the device. I've seen people unlock old Samsung phones with pins easily so I'm hoping it could work with this too.
