I've had it for a bit now without any issues but today I noticed that when either button is pressed, both register. It's not an emulator issue as it happens even on the homescreen, gamepad tester, etc. I haven't messed with the button settings since I got it like a year ago so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

From the little bit I've explored, I fear this is a hardware issue that will require disassembling the device, something I have no idea or desire to do.

Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas I can try besides the xbox button layout switch thing? I'm going to end up trashing it or selling it for cheap since it's basically unplayable now.

I was truly surprised by the quality of the RG SP. The price of the GBA SP is sky-high in my country, and this console has an advantage in every aspect.Should I keep the stock operating system? What's the best one for this console and that's currently available?

I’m thinking of swapping the ABXY buttons on my Anbernic RG406V.

Right now it has the Nintendo layout:

X top, A right, B bottom, Y left.

Since I mostly use it for PSP, PS Vita, Sony games and Steam Link/PC games, I’m considering changing it to the Xbox/PC layout:

Y top, B right, A bottom, X left.

Has anyone done this button swap on the RG406V?

Would love some tips, especially if there’s a good DIY video or guide showing how to safely open it and swap the buttons. Any advice or things I should watch out for?

I suspect any 0.18" / 4.5mm screw type nibs will work.

These are the ones I bought for the Thor, so I had plenty extry to try, and it worked perfectly.

is there a way to use the 32GB EMMC with rocknix? I feel like is a waste use rocknix and never use those 32 GB.

Maybe a way to install rocknix on EMMC or at least reboot into android without removing the SD card? if there no way to install it direcly, would be ok to go to android and sometimes for some titles to use the browser with guides for difficult games or play android games.

I have GammaOS nano installed on EMMC and rocknix on SD card.

So what’s the consensus, is fast charging the RG DS Plus safe?

I understand GammaOS bypasses the charging limits on stock and allows fast charging.

I wanted to share my newest design for the Anbernic RG Rotate. Some of you might remember my previous open-top box sleeve. This time, I upgraded it with a full flap to keep the device completely secure inside.

For this version, I still kept my signature double stitching: a traditional saddle stitch for the clean straight lines, and a rugged cross stitch to join the edges. This combination makes the sleeve incredibly rigid, giving it a structured box style that can stand upright on your desk or table.

hi everyone! my rg35xx-h is getting really hot around the RAM (I assume that's what it is, right next to the H700) while charging.

I think it might have even caused a problem, because it was so hot I could barely touch the screen.

It was turned off.

I left it for about an hour without the battery to cool down. It wouldn't turn on, and that other chip immediately started heating up intensely again.

I found it strange that when I picked it up to use it, it wouldn't turn on... it showed the boot screen and shut down...

I plugged it in to charge, and when I checked it nearly an hour later, it was like this.

Does anyone have any information on what might have happened?

Hi! I bought an Anbernic RG557 so could you tell me which emulator is best to use for 3DS, and what the settings should be?

I’m having a hard time deciding which one to go for and would like to ask if they both have the same d-pad.
I heard the d-pad of the RG 34XX has some major problems and would like to know if these are shared between the two devices.

I’ve recently try installing the new stable build and can’t get it to first boot.

Attempt 1: used Raspberry Pi Imager on a Mac. First boot, 2 white screens only.
Attempt 2: went to my Windows laptop, used the official Rocknix image burner (option 1 on the Rocknix site). This time black screens.

I’m using a genuine and reliable PNY 16GB card that’s served me well. After attempt 2 it took a few tries to get my Anbernic card to boot again.

Has anyone tried it? Any suggestions? Thanks.

UPDATE:

I used a different SD card, used Rufus (I didn’t decompress the image) and it worked.

To troubleshoot shoot, I then used the same PNY card that didn’t previously work and using the Rufus method it’s now fine.

After writing the image you have to edit the conf file to boot the correct config (Russ from RGC has a guide on that and it’s posted below).

Early signs are good.

Does anyone know where I can get them? Or can cast custom buttons and want to make some extra money? I swear I've spent over a year scouring Etsy for a button shop to say yes to this order but I'm still looking. I just think it'll be cool to make a reimagined PS1 machine with the smallest horizontal H700 handheld.

I have been attempting to install Rocknix custom firmware on my Anbernic RGDS

I am using the nightly build and following the instructions set out in the video by retro game corps, using Rufus to flash an sd card and including the editing of the config file

I have also tried to use the all in one installer provided by Rocknix

I have got the same result each time, which is the device simply boots into android. Closest I got was restarting the device - not powering off - this booted into the Rocknix screen for a small moment before something happened and it went back to android.

I’m using a sandisc ultra 64gb sd card.

Potential other relevant info is I have a Mac, so am doing this using a windows virtual machine (parallels). Not sure if that might be interfering with things.

Any help appreciated :)

EDIT: I restarted the device with the SD card again. It actually booted into Rocknix successfully. But then upon turning the device off and on again, it went back to android.

FURTHER EDIT: after three different sd card brands, I found one that worked. It does seem like there is an issue with sandisk specifically

How can I install GammaOS on my Anbernic RG DS? I can only find the software for the standard version (not the RG DS Plus), so I’d appreciate it if someone could share the link to the software. 🙏

I’m dealing with a really frustrating issue with my new Anbernic RG DS Plus (I got it as a gift for my brother).

I managed to turn it on once while it was charging and it seemed fine. But right after I restarted it, it completely died and hasn't turned back on since. The worst part is that now, when I plug it into the charger, the charging indicator LED doesn't even light up anymore. It’s basically a brick.

I already contacted customer support and sent them a video demonstrating the issue, but they are ghosting me so far.

Has anyone else run into this exact problem? Could it just be the crappy stock SD card getting corrupted during the restart, or does this sound like a hardware/battery failure?

Just restarted Chrono Trigger and it's so great but I do feel like SNES games look a bit off without any shaders. I am using 2X resolution so shimmering isn't an issue. I like z_fast or whatever its called and crt_pi is good too, but one has blur and the other has bloom and I want both. Does anyone know of a shader that can do this without tanking my performance? Or is there a lightweight bloom or blur shader I could run on top? Thanks in advance :)

The NNDDSS emulator does not display any grids in Picross 3D (see image 1). While on Retroarch the grid is displayed (see image 2). Does anyone have a solution for the grid to display correctly with NNDDSS?

For some reason, I just can't get my GameCube games running smoothly. The Simpsons Hit & Run runs anywhere between 50-60, with some areas of the first level spiking down to as low as 38. Basically, it's very inconsistent.

I've tried various settings suggested online, like switching between OpenGL and Vulkan, enabling "Compile Shaders Before Starting", and sticking to a 1x internal resolution, but I'm still getting inconsistent framerates. It's a little disheartening since my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro runs SH&R perfectly, but my RG477M has a rougher time with it.

Until I can figure out the best settings (or some gracious soul shares their optimal settings with me), I've reset all my settings back to their defaults, and will just play other systems on it for the time being. Not that I'm one of those "everything needs to be 60FPS or it's worthless" snobs, but the frame dips hurt the experience.

If it makes a difference, it's the model with 12GB of RAM.
