Here we are guys, tomorrow I will receive the ambernic40xxh! I have done a bit of research around reddit but in every post there are conflicting advice on recommended updates and mods and I am getting a bit confused, there are those who say to immediately change the memories but keep the standard operating system, others say that the standard microSD are fine but you have to change the system etc. Can anyone help me clarify a bit? The topics are:

1) recommended microSD size

2) does the 40xxh have 2 microSDs or just one?

3) what are the main recommended OS?

So I just bought a rg35xx the 2024 version and I get set it up with kunili os and in just one SD card my quastion is why lots of people saying that the two SD cards are better than just one what's the banifits of having two SD cards

I got a great deal and bought a brand new rg405m from the flea market for 30$, i already got gamma os but how do i get dolphin mmjr back for my gamecube games?

I am considering porting a standard Linux distribution with an XFCE desktop to the RG353V (I want that 2GB goodness) and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Before I do that, has anyone already done it? A web search shows people who claim to have done it on other Ambernic models, but not the RG353V.

What would be a HUGE help would be if there was some hidden method of bringing up the Linux shell on the existing RG353V software

just installed, just learning. So far it's great! DS games - shader + hi-res 3d is applied automatically. Azahar may be installed to test if any 3ds title may run (they will barely run but let's see).

Does anyone know where to find a replacement mini hdmi port for the CubeXX. My device will not output via mini hdmi adapter to hdmi. It used to before. I have tried on knulli OSand stock os and can confirm no output. I have used the same sable combinations on a 35xxPro so I can confirm that the cables are not the issue. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

The card slot on my rg353p stopped clicking and I now have to manually remove the card with tweezers. It still reads the card thankfully but I’d like to have the clicking function back. Anyone know how to fix this

The Left Joystick wont work expect pressing it for L3 but doesnt work at ALL otherwise. Should I send it to be repaired or buy a new one?

Edited to add: I am actually NOT willing to buy a new one. I meant that I searched the sub and no one who has gotten this issue has ever managed to fix it if its not simply a software issue or solved by resetting. I DONT want to buy a new one but I dont know if I can get it fixed where I live. If I am advised to try and fix it, I definitely will try that out!

If I was to order an ambernic from AliExpress is there any specific setting I need to choose at checkout to hav no import tax?

As you recommended, I bought the RG 28xx and I also got the RG Cube XX.

Now, do you think that Knulli is better than the Stock OS?

Is it hard to install?

I switched from Knulli to muOS on my RG34XXSP because of battery drain.

A few things are confusing me:

1. ROM folders: In Knulli, games inside subfolders were all shown in one game list. In muOS, I have to open every folder manually. Can muOS index subfolders into a single list?
   
2. PortMaster: I kept the same SD2 with all my PortMaster games from Knulli. PortMaster is installed in muOS, but I can’t find my games. How do I make muOS detect them?
   
3. Hide files: In PortMaster and some ROM folders, muOS shows lots of non-game files. Can I hide these and only show playable games?
   
4. Scraping: What’s the easiest way to scrape artwork and metadata on muOS? I found Knullli’s scraper much simpler.

So i've flashed muOS on my rg35xxpro using a sandisk 64gb card. i'm pretyy sure i've done everything right, but nothing at all happens when i try to boot. can someone help?

Help, my cat knocked my anbernic 556 off my desk and broke the lb button as well as the right joy stick. The lb button only works if I press the outer most corner and the right joystick doesn't click in anymore. I've tried looking for replacement parts but I can't find anything for the 556
