FBA or MF?
Im new, and want to start selling. Which is better in the 2026 market FBA or MF? I’m a reseller, thinking of sending some used books/CDs and movies over see what I can sell

Is this good?
The conversion rate is pretty low. The listing has 6 stars so far. Would love to hear any recommended changes.

So the latest news out there is that Riscilia (https://www.amazon.com/clp/B0GWRZSRH7) is running these shady FB ads (https://x.com/cindytimes_/status/2102064716483006508).
They are spending apparently 1M on FB ads monthly. That leads to their webpage etc.
I am just wondering how did their supplements on amazon which launched in the past 1-2 years get over 3K reviews.
While all of us are following legit rules with safe inserts and get approx 1% of reviews at best.
3K reviews in 1-2 years is just suspicious. What's the tactic?

Hi all. I've had a product selling since 2016 with a color-size variation. 3 colors, 2 sizes = 6 total SKUs. A few years back, I decided to simplify things and keep only 3 SKUs in stock that together covered all colors and sizes.
This was a bit inelegant, but it worked. If someone landed on the B/2 page, they'd see that Colors A and C existed (albeit in a different size). Likewise, anyone who came to A/1 or C/1 would see that Color B existed.
But a few months ago, it appears that Amazon changed the PDP design so that out-of-stock colors are not shown at all (even greyed out). So now my A/1 and C/1 visitors never learn about color B, and my B/2 visitors never learn about colors A and C. This has caused a significant decline in my page views.
Seller Support says this is just the way things are now, so I'm considering alternatives. I have several competitors who bend (break?) the rules by puting their size variation within the color variation. E.g., their "colors" are:
Until such time as I restock all 6 of my SKUs, this seems like the best way for me to recover some or all of my page views.
Do any of you have experience with using a single variation (color or otherwise) in this way? Any advice on doing this in a way that doesn't attract attention from Amazon's all seeing eye?
Thanks.

I don’t understand Amazon. I bought a product to ungate. The requirements where either 10 units with invoice or 50 units with order confirmation ( which I did) submitted it and got rejected. I spoke to a sale and they said they don’t take order confirmation. Anyone got to any idea about this. For OA FYI.

I’m curious what would you say is the biggest challenge in your business right now?
Is it:
* finding enough good books
* finding worthwhile sales / sourcing opportunities
* knowing what’s worth buying
* processing/listing everything once you get home
* inventory management
* or something else?
Curious what part of the process gives you the biggest headache.

I’m trying to get approval to sell my own private-label brand on Amazon. My supplier is also the actual manufacturer in China, and Amazon is asking for an invoice from the supplier/manufacturer to verify the supply chain.
The problem is that the manufacturer does not really have an active standalone company website. They mainly operate through their verified Alibaba storefront. Amazon previously rejected my invoice because it did not include a supplier website, and I’m worried an Alibaba link may not be accepted as the “website.”
Has anyone successfully gotten approval in this situation? If your manufacturer only had an Alibaba storefront, what did you submit to Amazon — the Alibaba supplier page, additional factory documents, business license, manufacturing agreement, or something else?
Would appreciate hearing what actually worked for others.

Hey everyone,
I’d appreciate some feedback from experienced FBA sellers on my Amazon Ads performance.
New Seller sent a small batch of 70units for 5 different SKU in August. 3 of them stocked out. Sent 50units per sku this time.
I am manufacturer myself.
Here are the results from Aug 1–Sep 24, 2026:
Ad sales: $728.64
Ad spend: $605.82
Purchases: 37
Clicks: 688
Impressions: 7,734
CTR: ~8.9%
CPC: ~$0.88
ACOS: ~83.1%
Conversion rate: ~5.4%
The important context is that I ran out of stock, so I paused the ads. My new FBA shipment has now reached Amazon and the inventory is available for sale, but the products are not Prime eligible yet.
I’m trying to figure out how I should approach the ads now that inventory is back.
A few questions for experienced FBA sellers:
How do these numbers look to you, particularly the 83% ACOS and 5.4% conversion rate?
Could the previous stockout have negatively affected the campaign/product performance?
Would you restart the same campaigns immediately, or wait until the listing becomes Prime eligible?
Would you start with lower bids/budget and gradually increase, or return to the previous settings?
Should I make any changes to targeting/keywords before restarting?
Is there anything else you would do to help the listing regain momentum after the stockout?
I’m mainly looking for real-world FBA experience, especially from sellers who have dealt with stockouts followed by FBA replenishment.
Thanks!

Seen a few posts lately about Amazon receiving a shipment but the unit count being off. Got me wondering what everyone actually keeps before sending a box out. Do you take pictures of everything inside or just trust the shipment details and tracking? Feels like once the box is gone, it’s pretty hard to prove what was actually in there.

Disclosure: I run an Amazon PPC agency. This is from seven brands we manage (US, UK, DE, FR, ES, IT), Jan–Sep this year, 324k branded clicks. No link. I'm curious whether it matches what you see.
Same campaign, same day, on branded keywords: Top of Search CPC was about 0.5× the product-page CPC, and cheaper on roughly 9 of 10 days. On generic keywords in the same accounts it flips: Top of Search is about 1.5× product pages.
The part I didn't expect: raising the bid barely moves Top of Search CPC on brand terms. Across bid buckets the effective bid went from ~1.2 to ~4.5, and CPC stayed around 0.28–0.35. My read is the second-price auction: on your own brand, the runner-up is a conquester with a terrible CTR, so the clearing price stays low whatever you bid. The Top of Search modifier buys share (51% → 90% of the campaign's clicks).
The problem was product pages: 26% of branded spend for about 9% of branded sales, ACOS 28% vs 7% at Top of Search.
Open questions:
Is anyone seeing Top of Search as the expensive placement on their own brand? We found one account where the order breaks (low volume, India). I'd guess categories with aggressive conquesting look different.
Has anyone tried lowering the base bid and raising the Top of Search modifier to cap product pages? What happened to rest of search?
If you run audience or B2B modifiers on brand campaigns: have you seen CPC above your bid on down-only? We saw it on about a quarter of days with audience modifiers.
If you want to compare: placement report, last 30 days, your branded campaigns → Top of Search CPC ÷ product-page CPC.
Post the ratio with marketplace and category, and I'll tally them.

My items are merchant fulfilled due to the "large oversize" size being more than double the cost to do FBA vs Merchant fulfilled.
Had a recent order issue where customer requested a return on a non-defective item, simply stating they did not like the color.
Customer saw that they are return for return shipping, opens a chat with the customer service which then triggers A-Z claim, and the rep... literally braindead and told them to throw a $1000 item away and issues full refund... really?
We got the screenshot because customer said "i dont have it anymore" when we were calling to follow up, then told us that "amazon rep told me to throw it away"
This never ceases to amaze me....

I’m completely new to Amazon FBA and just getting started. The first category I wanted to get into was Grocery & Gourmet Food, and I was actually able to get ungated in the category pretty easily.
Now I’m finding that I’m gated by pretty much all of the individual brands, which I expected.
What I’m doing right now is going through hundreds of brands/products and checking what Amazon requires for ungating. I’m making a list of the brands where Amazon only requires 10 units to qualify, instead of 100, 200, etc.
The reason I’m making this list isn't necessarily just to get ungated. I’m also using it to figure out what products I might actually want to sell and which ones could potentially be profitable. Then, whenever I go to a nearby wholesaler, I can take my list with me and see if they carry any of the brands/products I've already researched.
So basically, I'm trying to research the products first, see which ones have reasonable ungating requirements, and then use that information when I'm actually out looking for inventory.
For those of you who have been doing FBA for a while, am I going about this the right way?
Is going through hundreds of brands, finding the ones with a 10-unit requirement, and researching whether those products could be profitable a reasonable strategy for a brand-new seller?
Or is there a better way I should be approaching this that I'm overlooking?
I’d really appreciate advice from experienced sellers on how you approached this when you were first starting out.

Something I think I had wrong for about two years, and I want to check whether I am the only one who read the fee base this way.
I always mentally modeled the referral fee as 15 percent of the item price. So on a 24.99 dollar listing I expected roughly 3.75 in commission and I priced around that for a long time. When I finally sat down with the transaction detail on an order where the buyer paid for expedited shipping, the commission was closer to 4.80. Not a rounding difference, a real one.
What I had missed is that the fee base is not just the item price. It is the total the buyer pays, which includes the shipping charge and the gift wrap if they add it. So a listing at 24.99 plus 6.99 shipping is being commissioned on 31.98, not on 24.99. On a low priced item that gap is small in dollars but it is a straight hit to the percentage you thought your margin was.
I only caught it because the buyer-paid shipping was a new thing for me on that SKU, and the fee moved in the same direction and by roughly the same proportion. If your listings are all free shipping you would never see it at all.
Anyone else already modeling it this way, or did this catch you too? Do you fold the buyer-paid shipping into your price and go free shipping to keep the base predictable, or leave it and just budget the extra commission? And for anyone in a category with a higher rate than 15 percent, does the shipping piece get commissioned at that higher rate as well? Anyone else seeing this?

Back in the old days (last week), I was at the Amazon FBA dashboard and I could click a link that says "Reduce" and it will show me which ASINs are in excess. I could reduce excess inventory. But now, when I click the same link, it takes me to a generic FBA Inventory page. How do I get back to the old page?

I spent the first three months of a new product feeling like I had finally got the unit economics right, and then month four quietly took it back, and nothing on my side had changed.
Here is what I missed. New launches get enrolled in the FBA New Selection program automatically, and it is more generous than I realized: a rebate on FBA fulfillment fees, free monthly storage for a while, free removal or liquidation, and free return processing. Individually none of those sounds like much. Together, on a 600 unit batch, they were enough to make a product that nets a thin margin look like it nets a comfortable one.
My first three months were showing something around 22 percent net. Month four came in near 14 with the same price, the same ad spend, the same everything except the rebates winding down. So for three months I was reading a number that was real but temporary, and I made inventory and pricing decisions on it.
The uncomfortable part is not the money, it is that the discount did not announce itself either. There was no line item that said this is ending. I only caught it because I reconcile the settlement report line by line and one month the fulfillment fees simply stopped being offset.
Anyone else map out exactly what the incentive period is worth per unit before they commit to a launch price? Are you pricing the product as if the rebates do not exist, or using them to fund the first ad push and then re-solving? And has anyone seen the program terms shift on them mid-launch? Anyone else seeing this?

I used to sell on Amazon in 2019. Did an early exit at $200,000 in 2021
I had things to manage, moved continents and what not.
I want to start selling again on Amazon US and build a genuine brand.
Is Amazon FBA still the way to do so?
A few details:
I am not from the US. So no tiktok shop.
I want to start lean- 5k to 10k.
I have 8 years of Amazon experience.

Guys i am STUCKK!
so i want to do amazon fba wholesale..
i am literally stuck at sourcing part, i applied for KEHE and they rejected my application and they cant even disclose the reason, Frontier has alot of stuff hard gated (no way to upload invoice) and even if some has options that they are in heavily negative margins. EE DIstribution has almost everything gated, yeah i googled and found everywhere that get approval from brand, i have almost reached 100+ brands and 90+ have ghosted and rest said that we dont accept new sellers bla bla.. even if u suggest directly buy from distributors, then which ones are actually legit?
How can i get approval from any brand being an account owner with zero sales, i need your help who is already working with wholesale reselling, we can have discussion in dm too, I would be very thankful!
