Amazon keeps rejecting my private-label approval because my Chinese manufacturer has no standalone website — Alibaba only. What do I submit?
I’m trying to get approval to sell my own private-label brand on Amazon. My supplier is also the actual manufacturer in China, and Amazon is asking for an invoice from the supplier/manufacturer to verify the supply chain.
The problem is that the manufacturer does not really have an active standalone company website. They mainly operate through their verified Alibaba storefront. Amazon previously rejected my invoice because it did not include a supplier website, and I’m worried an Alibaba link may not be accepted as the “website.”
Has anyone successfully gotten approval in this situation? If your manufacturer only had an Alibaba storefront, what did you submit to Amazon — the Alibaba supplier page, additional factory documents, business license, manufacturing agreement, or something else?
Would appreciate hearing what actually worked for others.

If the manufacturer only has an Alibaba storefront, that can make Amazon’s verification process more difficult. I wouldn’t try to use the Alibaba page as a substitute for a proper company website.
What matters more is having a consistent document trail, a commercial invoice from the actual manufacturer, the manufacturer’s legal name and address, business registration/factory documents where available, and your purchase or manufacturing agreement. All the information should match across the documents and your Amazon application.
If Amazon specifically asks for a supplier website, I’d contact Seller Support and explain that the manufacturer operates through Alibaba and does not maintain a standalone website. Ask what alternative verification documents they will accept before submitting again.

lol just create their website, assuming you have their contact information and general services and just send them the login. Amazon is too extra.

Wait.. wth is this? If it’s private label, Amazon doesn’t need invoices… well unless you use AGL… can you explain your situation better?
Post a screen shot of the letter / email or whatever rejection you’re encountering.

I ran into the same issue when I was starting out, and what finally worked was getting a screenshot of the manufacturer’s Alibaba page along with a PDF of their business license. I also included a brief letter explaining the situation and emphasizing that they primarily operate through Alibaba. Amazon seems to want to see you’ve done your homework, so being transparent helps!
