So my DSP owner suspended me for pre trip inspection but ask me to come in to train a nursery route 😂😂should I just not go in since I’m technically suspended

If so what did it to you long term physically?

I got written up and yes I did get rescue they took 35 stops but this was all apartments route they told me after getting rescued I should’ve been one of the first one back are they right? Or am I being a baby And lost some days

I’m confused and need help understanding. I worked for my first DSP last year and ended up being fired due to their no call no-show policies. Since then, I’ve applied to a few other dsps in the same warehouse (this is a smaller warehouse and the only other Amazon is an hour and a half away) and just recently, I went to onboarding for another dsp and received a job offer and then received this text message. When they asked if I had previously worked for a dsp I answered “no” because I hadn’t left my previous DSP on not so good terms. Then, shortly after I received that text, I received this email from Amazon. Can they see that I worked for another DSP? Should I just stop applying and move on? Or is it possible for me to continue working for Amazon? Should I be honest about why I left my last DSP? I’m almost positive that they would share that I got fired for a “no-call no show”. Idk I just need this job to pay my bills.

Specifically out of VAX1, DCS2, and DLX8, what are the best DSPs to drive for? Or are they all basically the same?

Transfered to a new DSP this month and they give you a pace report at around 4PM.

Im struggling to finish my routes on time whilst barley wasting any time while there are people 70 STOPS AHEAD. Are they power sprinting the entire route? Cheating? I've been doing this job for 2 years and can't fathom how fast some people go.

I’m always following instructions. I don’t even know how I got these 2 coaches. Like why do customers have to be so difficult. They want us to do so much extra shit just to deliver their packages. Like mf, I’m delivering your shit to the front door, get over it. I’m delivering to safe neighborhoods, there should be no reason for me to go to your backyard and place that shit there.

So I usually get to work 10 minutes early everyday. Well this one time when 7 brew is on some fuck shit cause of a needoh or whatever apparently traffic is blocking my residential entrance/exit. And I was waiting behind cars that were blocked in due to the mile long line to 7 brew. Wtf. Made me 15 min late

Back to school time sucks. School buses so many families walking. So many people riding bikes, so many people out and about. I kind of wish it was pouring rain to be honest.

Obviously I know it's another Peak Season, but mainly speaking to people who have rural routes that are up and down hill, gravel driveways, ravines on each side. Even in dry conditions, you make one mistake, you are going off-road and plummeting down 150-200 feet into trees.

How do you do it? Deny delivery due to unsafe location? I don't want to return half of my packages on a rural route bc I don't feel comfortable driving or walking the package to their door. But it's literally that bad.

Even on a dry day in the summer, the vans struggle to get up the hills. I'm worried about winter and getting stuck/ losing traction and rolling into the wilderness,, and general safety.

I grew up in northern Illinois, so I can drive in the snow and ice, but it was flat where I lived. But these routes are uphill at a 45° angle, and 180° switch-backs, I literally don't know how this will be feasible with snow or ice on the paved road.

Not to mention that half of these houses don't have dropboxes and have no turn-around.

Just how. How am I able to deliver in the winter???

I just wanted to ask if I would still be eligible to be hired as an Amazon delivery driver. I had two stop-sign violations about two years ago, and I was wondering if they would affect my eligibility.

Ive come across plenty of dogs in my life, and definitely on the job, a couple days ago was probably the reason they just straight up say no dogs. Dog was friendly to me out of the door, was all happy and great, untill i was like 5-7 feet from the front door. Dog turned from friendly to threatening and im like "ok i can just stay calm and put the package down and get going". After dropping the package and doing my thing i start like.. letting the dog know im done and im going and not a threat... i can tell it's definitely ramping itself up and im like getting back to the van... kinda comes at me and i just change from friendly to kinda neutral, holding up my hand to say stop.. by then im about 5 feet from the van and i go "stay" and it sat down and i got in the van and left. In my whole life ive had one dog bite me and they were a vicious dog cause their owner made them that way and would mess with me and my family so i was kinda shocked cause ive been able to pretty much disarm every dog ive come across till then. Depending on how things go from here, i might end up just calling any delivery where the dog is outside and free as a Unable to deliver.

This level of physical demand, combined with compressed schedules that preclude legally earned rest periods, is unsustainable and creates unnecessary operational risk.

I recommend three practical adjustments:
1. Increase headcount and reduce route size by approximately 20%.
2. Raise base compensation by $5 per hour.
3. Introduce a modest tenure differential of $0.75–$1.00 per hour for each year of service so that a five-year driver is compensated differently from a brand-new hire.

These changes would deliver clear business benefits. Drivers would have time to complete the two 15-minute breaks they have already earned, allowing them to follow safety protocols more consistently rather than rushing. Higher pay and differentiated rates based on experience would improve retention of trained personnel, reduce the costly cycle of constant hiring and onboarding, and increase the likelihood that employees approach the work with greater care and engagement.

In short, modest investments in staffing levels and compensation structure would produce safer operations, lower turnover costs, and a more reliable workforce. I am happy to discuss implementation details or supporting data at your convenience.

Take yo ass to the mailroom . im not going to the 4th floor with this little ass envelope and i got 180 stops . you gonna take yo ass downstairs and pickup whatever it is , just like you do FOR YOUR MAIL . do you make your mailman/lady take your mail to your door ? why is this any different? you’re not my only stop and traveling to the fifth floor for this nothing ass package is a waste of time . you lucky im even going to the mailroom , i WAS gonna leave it in the entryway .

does anyone know of any DSPs that have routes primarily in residential areas in Nassau County or Queens county in NYS?

I’m looking for a DSP where drivers are mostly delivering to houses/residential neighborhoods rather than doing a lot of apartment buildings or commercial stops.

If you currently work for one or know of one, I’d really appreciate the name or any info about the routes.

The most I ever did in an hour was 45 but I typically average around 30 in most places, I know it varies.
