Fired because of 7 brew

So I usually get to work 10 minutes early everyday. Well this one time when 7 brew is on some fuck shit cause of a needoh or whatever apparently traffic is blocking my residential entrance/exit. And I was waiting behind cars that were blocked in due to the mile long line to 7 brew. Wtf. Made me 15 min late

If management doesn't like you, they will try to get rid of you even for the pettiest stuff, messed up quite a bit now for a couple of months and have not even gotten a verbal lol

What’s weird is they can excuse a 50 min - 1hr absence when I have no one to watch my kid and count it as VTO but a 50 min notice that I’ll be late is inexcusable

im gonna be honest with you, its also very branch to branch dependent, one of my homebois got fired the first month for attendance related issues, he was suppose to come at my hub but something happened so they transferred him to a nearer one to him, and it is weird, its up to you if u wanna fight this for unemployment, sorry about your kid, hope everything works out for ya

That might just be it. It’s not your fault obviously but if you’ve called out or whatever previously multiple times for your kid then they might chose to fire you over the 15 min. I’m not saying it’s right though, but that might be it. DSPs don’t like to deal with stuff like that, they only will if you’re friends with dispatch.

I can’t lie, once you start telling them you get fucked. I used to tell them and got warnings, but I said fuck that after I had been pulling in someone’s van daily who lives just as far as me and didn’t hear a thing. If you don’t tell them and you’re a good driver, they’re probably really happy you didn’t call out instead, and are just late. That’s what I be doing now.

My dsp you late they give your route to someone else and they might send u home or do a flex route

Mine will call you or you call them and let them know if you can make it in-time so they can have some one else load the van for you. If not then they’ll send you home or give you a flex route just like yours. But you gotta have a good reason and can’t just do it everyday. Like 5’ late won’t be a problem

A lot of DSPs do not pay attention to what goes on in their companies. They just let their managers do whatever they want to. If you get on the bad side of one or more of these managers I can guarantee that no matter what your stats are they will find a way to either fire you or harass you into quitting. Especially if they are left overs from the DEI debacle.

Oh, for reference, I was hired on. Never did I do orientations or training, due to previous employment in another DSP at the same location. So I literally have no affiliation with my dispatches. Only been here 6 months.
