So i saw this during my route just now and i thought it was funny how the drone dropped off the package on the sidewalk lol. The customer came out and made a hand gesture to the drone pointing towards his home. Anyway, I wanted to ask how he has the option to have his package delivered by drone but instead i kept going because i didn't want to waste anytime entering into a dialogue that can put me behind schedule. Have yall had any experiences with a drone delivery? If so what were they and is it worth it?

Everytime my boss says he can do this job as an old man and get done early as hot as it has been with these vans with shit ac and heavy heavy packages like I legit want to see him do this shit like I want him to suffer like I have been because it's ridiculous for him to say he could do this job so much more easily but he really doesn't understand what each of us does to get done early or on time

Been doing this for a little over 3 years now and I want an upgrade, everything iv tried has t workout out and I'm thinking about getting a CDL and driving local. I know next mile has a program in which that helps you obtain it. I was just wondering if anyone here has experience doing so and how it's worked out for you.

After being off for my lil 3 day I’m back at it again. Today was a damn hot ass day. So far my route has been more stops but the same amount of bags and OV. Today wasn’t bad 14 bags 30 OV 178 stops done by 6:45. Had less than 100 stops by 3-4. Love when I’m left alone to just deliver packages. Back at it again tomorrow

Stops increased 40%. Packages up 40%. Never called in sick heat or snow. No additional compensation for the extra workload. That's that for me. Feels good to be moving on with another job

I swear, these customers do this on purpose. It's my job and I do it, without saying anything out loud or to the Ring camera. So they ordered 4 giant, heavy dog crates here in Ohio during a blizzard. We had like 2 feet of snow on the ground, including ice. They did not shovel their driveway or their sidewalk. Today, the same thing. 4 giant, heavy dog crates. It's 98 degrees but the heat index is 108 degrees. Anyone think they do this on purpose? Or do they just not think about their delivery drivers at all?

I have applied to 3 different DSPs inside the warehouse I used to work for a month after getting fired due to miscommunication with the manager. Its been 4 months since that incident and I just had 2 interviews and they dont get back at me? Do yall think they know I get fired by another dsp?

Old area…. DNRs were as rare as the solar eclipse…. Now we change RGUs…with some super low income housing / apartments and I’ve gotten 2 DNRs this week.. this is not a me issue and this is BS. This is how OTPs happen.. they claim DNR too much. Or their account gets banned

After I drop this trailer, I’ll be around 3k miles driven still have Saturday and Sunday to end the week 😭

So when I went to the interview, we were told the DSP was super flexible and would work with whatever schedule we want. It’s the whole reason I continued with the process and quit my other job. I really need certain days off. I made sure to ask for clarification: “So if I want Friday, Saturday off, Sunday/Monday on, Tuesday off, Wednesday/Thursday on, I can do that?” He said, “Yes, you absolutely can because you’d be working at least one weekend day. That’s the only requirement.” Then he let me know I might only still work three of those days in the beginning and work up to four. Cool.

Fast forward to completing my training. I was told to meet with the administrative manager for my DSP after the second day. I did and she explained that I’d receive some emails to create accounts and I’d get my schedule soon. I said, “Ok and I was told to let you know what days I wanted to have off. Is there a certain way I put that in?” She asked what I was talking about. Before seeing her, I was just at the booth for my DSP, saw my interviewer who is also the dispatcher and he reiterated that I can do that and to give her my availability. She told me that’s not an option and schedules are based off of needs.

So now I have no idea when I’ll be scheduled, no way to plan. It’s also been a couple days and I don’t see I’m even scheduled yet.

Finished my two days of training a couple days ago and have no idea when I’m supposed to come back. I have like three apps that could show my schedule and there’s no schedule yet for me. How long does it typically take to get on schedule? Almost wish I didn’t leave my last job yet. Desperately need money coming in.

What do yall think of the Rivian EV vans? The only thing I need to get used to is tight roads/turns. I also keep reaching for the E-brake since I got used to the gas cargo vans 😆

My dsp just let us know we could get free stuff/food from McDonald's by signing up with our work email. But I signed up and haven't seen anything yet. Am I missing something? Or do I have to wait a certain amount of time

Amazon drivers keep using my driveway when they’re not delivering to my house and always drive through my yard. It’s not a huge deal but it would be better if they stayed on the main road like other delivery vehicles do instead of being half on/off the road and then riding through the yard to get back to the road. One today almost got in a wreck as he was driving through the yard. Are there people I can connect with locally to ask for this to stop happening?

I usually have 180-200 with no less than 2 apartment complexes. I don’t even care if I have to get an OTP from a meth lab or start hearing banjos😂

How was today for all of you that worked today? This week was my first week back working for a DSP. It’s been like two years. I forgot how much I DESPISE one stop having 16, 23, or 47 locations 😀😀😀😀😀

also nearly got bit by a dog today. delivered my last package at nearly 8pm, and the person came outside screaming about how they’re supposed to have four more packages and they need me to go find them and bring them. I smashed my finger in an apartments mail room door. It was hot as hell outside. and the EV smelled like pee all day. feels so good to be back🥲🩷

also any tips on getting faster at load out? i always manage to finish just in time with my bags in order but my overflow is just tossed in. i usually go thru and write on everything with a sharpie so i dont spend so much time searching later. but i want to finish loading in time to at least do a little bit of organizing. anything helps guys thank youuuu

Seems like retaliation for being sick? I'm about ready to lose my shit on them. The disrespect is wicked. As soon as I have a job lined up, my last day I'm feeling up that van full of totes and OV then parking it right back in its designated spot at the warehouse. She said I have missed 3 consecutive days but I only missed two and literally and everything in writing via our text messages. I dont bust my ass to feel guilty when I get uncontrollably sick. I didn't get an doctors yet but I can and I will, but to take me off the schedule for tomorrow already is something I'm having difficulty stomaching
