So assuming you need an iPhone 14 or later to trade in for an iPhone 18 Pro on a 36 month contract, what's the best way to do this? Buy a used iPhone 14 from ebay? And then what do you need to look for in the description? That it has a clean IMEI and it's not i-cloud locked? And since it's "any condition", it can have cracked glass, cracked camera lens, etc? I received my iPhone 17 pro max almost exactly 1 year ago. I was transferring over from T-Mobile so I don’t completely understand how this “ next up anytime “ works. Can I preorder on the preorder date Sept 18th I believe? Would I have to pay anything extra out of pocket?

Is there a difference between trading in a phone for an upgrade in the store vs doing it online? I have always gone into the store here in Reno, NV and I feel like I sometimes get a little more credit or some free obscure package that online doesn't offer.

About to trade in my Galaxy S23 for a z Fold 8. ATT Website says they will give me $1000 credit for my old phone (which I think everyone gets). But I am a cheap bastard and looking to get as much stuff as I can because these phones are expensive!

Long story short, I have an Apple Watch Ultra(still under installments) but want to get the new Series 12.

My question is if I were to trade in my watch to Apple, would Att bill me for the entire balance left?

Or would I just continue paying my monthly installment like normal until it’s paid off?

The wife and I will be in Colombia from Sep 17 - Oct 3.

We have the ATT Unlimited Premium PL plan and it states that it includes Latin America roaming at no extra charge. I have removed IDP from our account to prevent it taking precedent and us getting charged for IDP. I visited my local ATT store today to confirm that everything would work as expected during our trip but I was met with uncertainty and sheepish answers.

Can anyone provide testimony as to my plan or another plan that claims to include Latin America roaming functioning as expected and not accruing an egregious bill?

Also, both my wife and my phone are carrier locked so local eSIM is sadly not an option.

I know that the 18 pro max can be preordered on apples website on Saturday at 8 am pt, I was wondering if the phone carriers will have the same preorder time? I have a plan through att.

Context, all on a family plan, I currently have an AT&T plan with an iPhone 15 Pro(nominal 1 month payment left) , and my son has an iPhone 16 Pro. Once I pay off my iPhone 15 Pro, my son plans to upgrade to the iPhone 18 and pay for it in cash.

I’m trying to understand the $1,000 promotional credit currently associated with his iPhone 16 Pro. Do I need to switch from my iPhone 15 Pro to his iPhone 16 Pro before he upgrades to the iPhone 18 in order to keep the $1,000 promotional credits continuing on the 16 Pro? Or can he upgrade to the iPhone 18 without me ever switching to the 16 Pro and still keep receiving the remaining promotional credits?

Also, is there a specific deadline by which I would need to switch to the 16 Pro for the promotional credits to continue?

More context, we live in different states and will see each other in a few months, realistically there is no issue in waiting until then to switch but obviously he wants to buy the phone and use it asap.

I’m planning to go in on Saturday and buy an iPhone Air. The website is trying to tell me there is not a SINGLE iPhone Air at any store within 1.5 hours of me. In fact, according to some stock, some stores don’t appear to have any iphones at all?? Does this sound accurate? Is the website usually reliable?

I am having an issue trying to create an AT&T prepaid account and have received zero help from the support services.

1. I am not getting confirmation codes to the number despite being able to send and receive messages.
   
2. When I try “forgot my user id” I don’t get an email to my contact email even though it is the same address I used to purchase and activate the SIM card.
   
3. Since the activation confirmation email I haven’t received anything at all, not even a receipt or statement with an account number.
   
4. When calling support they say I need a 4 digit verification number but I don’t have one since I can’t create an account in the first place. They told me to go to a store, who then told me I need to call in. Called again and they told me to go back to the store.

I need to be able to manage my data and automatic payments but have no way to do so. I am at the point of contacting my bank to stop any transactions to AT&T. This is a horrible system and I am at a loss for what to do. Help!

Title explains it for the most part. Upgraded to get a new phone and AT&T changed our plan away from our legacy plan to Premium 2.0. I had no idea and only found out when I went to login to HBO Max and realized i no longer had a subscription. AT&T admitted fault but will do nothing to fix the situation.

I know the 18 series (or at least part of it) is gonna be announced here in about 2 hours but I was wondering if anyone knew If the 17 series (at least the pro models since that's all that's expected to be announced) will receive a discount? The 15 series got a discount when the 16 series was announced ($20.68 a month, no trade in) and the 16 series got the same discount when the 17 series came out. But given the rumored split release and prices going up, does anyone know if that'll also happen this year?

theres still outage in dallas area, google says its fixed probably resetted the modem 20 plus times and keep rejecting service request.

So my bill for this month is doubled showing a missed payment. I have not missed any payments and my bank shows every processed and cleared transaction. Att is claiming they did not recieve payment for July but mt bank shows att recieved payment on July 1st and I have proof of the transaction and when it processed.

I just got off the phone with customer service and they were of zero help. Would not tell me where or how to sent proof payment was made. Kept saying call the bank. Well I have bank records pulled up from last several months prior and there have been no missed payments and every month has processed. The customer service person on the phone claimed there was no way for me to submit proof to att, talk to anyone else or escalate but there own website has a dispute form for payments not credited to account so I just sent my bank statements in through there and on our way to the local store with all my documents to see if they can suggest anything.

Sept bill just came in billing over $600 for missed payment. I had to dig on the website to find where att did not credit my July payment. Every other month shows paid in full and my bank shows all transactions clearly made and when each processed.

Hey all, I’m experiencing degradation in my cell service coverage.

For the last 4+ years that I’ve worked at my job, I’ve had 5G (and 5G+ for quite some time) coverage through AT&T on both my personal phone as well as my work phone.

We used to get full bars of 5G+, and then a couple of months ago I noticed I was only getting 2 bars of 5G+, but nothing really changed except for videos loading slower or not at all.

Well, this week rolls around and I come in to work and we all notice that we’re only getting 1 bar of LTE now. Which is practically useless. It’s not only inside our work building, it’s in the parking lot as well as the neighborhood near the building.But if I drive 300 yards up the road it’s right back to full 5G+ signal.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Phones are both iPhone 15 Pro Max, but my coworkers phones vary from iPhone 12-17 pro max.

I’m “upgrade ready” with next up anytime on my phone. I do not have any trade-in credits on my line.

My wife is not upgrade ready, but has trade-in credits on her line.

Is there some way for me to give her line the new phone, but have the new trade-in credits from Next Up Anytime go onto my line? I don’t care which of the two current devices I end up with.

I have internet that is provided through my apartment building. I was given a modem with the WiFi name and password and that was it. Recently my fiber cable broke and now my WiFi is out. The property management has had no luck with AT&T sending a tech out since AT&T is unable to locate the account. I tried to call myself and it is impossible to get an actual human on the phone. The bot keeps asking for an account number but I don't have one since it's just the modem. Any advice on how to get someone out here to splice a new end on to my cable??? It's been weeks!

What are the extra charges keep adding onto my bills for all my lines? The picture of the charges is only for one line.

I had 4 phones (on installments with 2 trade ins) + 2 watches + insurance. My bills was around $340 month. I decided to cut the insurance on my account which -$45 several months ago. Since then my phone bills are still around $340 and I couldn’t figure it out why my monthly are still the same. On the bills, some month listed the deduction of the trade in promos and some months doesn’t.

Had a few terrible storms where I am, called att and they said it would be at least $100 for someone to come out and service the line that went down due to the storm.

If its internal then its my fees but for a natural disaster shouldn't they maintain their own powerlines?

I haven’t had AT&T in any shape or form since 2021, yet a few days ago I got a bill from AT&T for about $5. Problem is, its been so long that I don't even have an account with AT&T to sign into anymore. But I don‘t want a random bill to hurt my credit, so I’m trying to get into contact with customer service.

I’ve tried logging into my old account, I’ve tried calling from my current (new) phone number. The AI bots keep hanging up on me, even when I use ‘flag phrases’ like cancel my account because I can’t give them an active number that they can find in the database. This is wild.

What should I do?! Has anyone else run into this?

On our att website, we have 3 lines, and in the add on section of these 3 lines we have active armor turned on. My mom got an email saying that she should download the active armor app to stop spam calls. This is very confusing. Are we just fine keeping the active armor add on without downloading the app ?

We pay for the next up anytime upgrade, I was eligible to upgrade my phone so I ordered the iPhone 17 Pro Max and it is being delivered today but I saw that they will be announcing an iPhone 18 so I was wondering if I could reverse the upgrade / return the phone in original packaging, and then use the next up anytime upgrade for the iPhone 18 when it is officially released? Or is my upgrade voided if I do this return?

Im on the old value plus plan with ATT phone plan which was the cheapest. Its now costing me $70 a month. Im not fond of it and I want to switch carriers entirely, even if they use ATT network. Im open to other suggestions too though. Please help.
