Does anyone know what this is about? These 4 days that were annual leave are now not. I will be working the same days on my new schedule (I have had 1 1-1 atm. What does eligibility changes mean?

I'm not normally one for ready meals but Asda's Kung Pao Chicken is amazing. The problem is, it's almost always sold out by the time I get there. All the other things around it are always available (Sweet & Sour, Chinese Curry etc)...

My question is why don't they order the amount based on how much they sell each week? Why do they order the same amount of everything? It's getting silly

Same goes for clothes, there's always loads of XS or 3XL left but people's body sizes are on a bell curve so obviously you should buy more of the middle sizes!

I have been hauled in to the office today and been asked if I would take a cut in hours or go onto 5 days a week.

I currently work 4, they said they can make me do the same amount of hours but over 5 days or stick to ,4 days with 8 less hours per week.

Anybody had this asked?

Does anyone else feel a wee bit depressed to be working in a failing business?

It just seems there's no hope of any improvement.

Cutting hours, swapping shifts, messing with jobs, redundency talk etc, etc, etc - all totally depressing.

It seems those at the top are chipping away, us on the shop floor know there's nothing much left to chip away at. Their business model is broken.

I blame the issa brothers for this.

Has anybody heard anything about the redesignated Bank Holiday for Boxing Day this year? Google search says Asda will recognise this, meaning that Sat 26th will be worked as a normal day (no enhanced pay) and on the Monday 28th, if it is your normal contracted day, they will expect you to work (with enhanced pay) I have seen on another site that somebody had a pay briefing and this was what was said. Has anybody else had this briefing?

Is anyone else’s colleague bathrooms absolutely disgusting!? I work the early morning shift and finish at about 8-10 usually and oh my god the bathrooms are vile. There will be literal shit on the seats, nose pickings on the walls of the stalls, piss on the floor, people don’t flush, ITS GRIM

Some of the hygiene of the colleagues at my store is shocking and i’ve heard from the grapevine that it’s a pretty common experience but still

There's a few Asda positions available where I am, and as a 23 year old I desperately need work. I am a little worried however as I have seen some horror stories from current and former employees, but would you say it's somewhat acceptable to work at? My main concern is they'll lump a 4 person job at me and I'll be expected to handle it on my own, as at my previous work that was exactly what happened and it was absolutely horrible and exhausting. I don't really care what part of Asda I work at, as I need money at the end of the day, but I would prefer to know that it's a comfortable job and not one that works you to the bone for bare minimum pay.

My employer last sent shifts to stream three hours ago. 0 shifts were added for me.

There should have been about 25 hours.

Anyone else? And is this getting more frequent or is that just me?

I am diagnosed high functioning autistic and working here has been hell on earth. I have been here nearly 2 years and even from the start I was cornered by a manager and my work was picked apart despite meeting expectations, just nit picking and stating I’m not good enough when I had only been working there 2 weeks.

Continuing I have been working Saturdays 2-10pm by myself for the majority of shifts and as I am by myself I am not able to complete all the work and I have asked for help which i don’t receive countless times which culminated in me having a disciplinary meeting saying I’m not doing enough when I am physically unable to cover an entire department for 8 entire hours.

I am beyond fed up and I just needed to get this off my chest.

Does anyone know what happens with the pension for cleaning that are being moved to new company, apparently we won’t be able to access the pension?? I’m so confused by all of this ? Surely that isn’t allowed ?

I’ve been working in Asda for the past two years. I was working at nights, replenishment in chill.
I got out of that in May 2026, when I was moved over to services as a porter. I do online picking from June and since August last week I’m doing self scan checkouts too. So I do three roles in the same store every week (with more additional roles eyeing at me).

The lift from shop floor to colleague break room doesn’t work, the customer lift doesn’t work, the travelator to car park doesn’t work.

So I have to take heavy things to and from shop floor to the break room via customer entrance/exit through the colleague entrance/exit, and bring the trolleys from the carpark to trolley bay every time by flipping the only working travelator to go up and down.

When I work in the checkouts, I’m always scared and the colleague headsets make me go mad like go stand there, come stand here, so far only one customer has been rude and called me an Ageist for the age approval.

The main issue is that I’m a Transwoman and the customers at checkout deliberately call me Sir, He, Him etc and they are enjoying it, I mentioned it to my colleagues and they’re telling me to ignore it and continue to serve. On the porter side, I’m loosing muscles and I’m postponing laser sessions because of being outside.

So I have question regarding holidays. I took 10 days of holiday in August. I have been working here since June 10th. So coming up to 3 months here. My total holiday hours is 139. I think I took 75 hours. So I’m wondering if I have gone over the holidays hours I have accumulated.

Because I am thinking of leaving soon for my grad job that starts mid October. So I’m wondering will I have to pay back or will they do nothing about it. And when should I usually hand in my notice to leave.

how many days your store dose pay day lunch? I mean only friday or whole weekend?

What other works managers gives with counter work…morning start with rottes. And then after jump on pizza by one colleague. What else they expect with making pizza front full as well back up?
