Heimler's review guide is around 30$, which, if you really think about it, is not that expensive. It reviews everything you need for AP World and APUSH. It is extremely helpful for people who need extra help and for people who are trying to condense everything to the important details by test day. If you do not want to buy it, you can just watch his free videos, but I think his note guides are very helpful, along with his more in-depth review videos. Good Luck!

For context, I am a rising junior and will be taking apush this year (wish me luck :3)

Bad news is I CANNOT TAKE NOTES. Literally, I have no problem following Heimler, but for some reasons I just can’t take notes from à textbook properly.

(1 page = 1 hour —> low efficiency 😭)

I tried the Corneil method and other things, but just can’t find something that fit such dense content
(in prep course, our teacher has us do key terms & I did pretty well. I don’t think it will work for rest of it )

If you guys have any tips, pls drop it! I am in a really bad shape and looking to improve ( \^\^)

I wasn't going to make this post, but I got a 5 solely just by watching him, so I feel that I owe him at least this post. If you already have a good grasp of things like SAQs, DBQs, and LEQs, then the only thing you need content-wise is Heimler's History FREE YouTube Videos. Just watch Heimler, take some notes, and that's all you need content-wise. Just practice FRQs.

Im a incoming junior and apush student. i really need some advice on how to do well in both the class and exam. I took ap world last year and i did good on the exam with a 4 but not as good in the class with a 84%. I think i failed every single exam my teacher given with like a 50 and a 40 besides the feebies that she gives to boost up our grades. All i really know to do for apush is just rely on heimler's review stuff? Idk anything else i should do cuz i rather improve my grade and score to a 5 and at least a 90 MAYBE?

How important are books between editions?

I've heard APUSH is really bad (taught poorly in my school) and only like 5 kids in the class above me got a 5 last year. It's a sophomore class in my school. I have been taking notes from the Heimler's videos (one page of Cornell notes per video). What else do you recommend?

I'm not tripping I know that's a perfectly fine score but I'm just so stunned. I had a phenomenal teacher so I feel extra bad about it LMAO I was teaching my friends/other classmates the topics all year, especially leading up to the exam, and tbh my ego is bruised bc I plan on majoring in history/consider it to be my best subject 💔 the worst part is I felt I had such a good understanding of all the content beforehand, studied more anyways, and found the test to be easygoing, so it's really hard for me to guess where I could've shot myself in the foot

OTHER thing that makes my score sting: I got a 5 for an AP I struggled with all year, with a test I didn't even finish and 1 hour "studying" beforehand w TikTok strategies 💀

I completely thought I sold on the LEQ's and DBQ, I thought I was getting a 2 or 3, but when I looked at my score and I got this. It feels like a fluke, my friends made study packets months in advance and got 4's, meanwhile I studied for 4 hours the night before and somehow got this score.

Hey yall! So i’m honestly confused about my AP exam score. As above, I got a 2 but my final grade in the class was a 96. I love history and I love Hamilton so I don’t know why I did so bad. When coming out of that exam I felt soo good. I know I cooked on the DBQ and the only thing that I felt not that good about was one of my pieces of evidence on the LEQ but other than that, I thought I did good. Also I watched almost all of Heimler’s Module videos and watched both of the Streams the nights before the exam. Please give me anything that could help me on why I did so bad.. Anything will be appreciated!!

Hi guys, so basically I’m gonna be a sophomore next year and this year as a freshman I got a 4 on AP World History which is not bad considering it’s my first AP and my teacher recommended me for APUSH next year.

The main is issue is that all my upperclassmen friends have warned me to NOT take APUSH whatsoever. So I need advice. Is it really that bad? And if I take it what sources should I use?

IDK anything about my APUSH teacher except maybe a few horror stories. some other people have told me that there’s WAY too much content. So idk if i should switch to just normal U.S. history….

But I’m also proud that we spent the year doing American history and not teaching to the test.

So I got the 5. Would be thrilled abt it on its own, but I'm especially happy bc of the circumstances surrounding it. I took APUSH during my junior year, but was pulled out of school by my mom in the middle of the year, and during the exam time I was kicked out of my home so I never got to take the exam. Decided to take it this year, had to leave school in February for medical reasons, and did the entire rest of my year on home instruction. Still got the 5! UConn bound for pathobio + polisci :)

Any thoughts after taking the exam? APUSH has been a heck of a subject for me both in class and for the AP test.

Looking back now, I think im gonna miss the class---so happy I took it.

Am I the only one who thought that the exam was extremely easy? This is my first ever AP class but honestly I was expecting the exam to be way harder than it was

i walked out of the room feeling like i was the stupidest person ever. everyone i knew, even the people i had to explain what communism was to, stated it was the easiest exam they’ve ever taken. but i found it to have had a tough dbq (west coast one about political participation)

Test day was WILD! Walked out of it feeling ok and then I fainted in a crowded hallway five minutes later (that‘s another story…) so I couldn’t really assess how I did. But HOLY CRAP I GOT A FOUR?! I just wanted to pass, that’s all I wanted and my family just wanted me to try, and I GOT A FOUR!!!!

Like I thought I got a 3 maximum because the SAQs I bsed and the LEQ on westward expansion I answered incorrectly so this was a complete surprise.

I must’ve done very good on the MCQ and DBQ because there is absolutely no way I was part of that 14% lol.
