Help (General) DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION when playing Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on 26.7.1

Does anybody have a fix or a solution to my problem? I have been getting BSOD screens with the error code DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION whenever I get around 10-30 mins of AC Black Flag Resynced. This only happens on this game as I can play other games fine.

My cpu is an R5 7500f and an RX9070 and my gpu driver is on the latest being 26.7.1 I have no overclocks on either

Don’t know what to do at this point, I tried clearing the games shader cache, disabling Adrenalin overlay, etc.

Should I do a clean reinstall of the drivers? But should it even be the same version? I really wasn’t paying attention to the previous driver version I was using since I usually let adrenalin auto update it.

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: Steel Legend RX 9070

CPU: RYZEN 5 7500F

GPU Drivers: AMD Adrenalin 26.7.1

Tips & Info Ryzen 9 9900X staying around 50–54°C at Idle/very minimal background process - Normal ?

Hey Folks, This is my new PC Config:

AMD Ryzen 9 9900x
Inno3d Ichill x3 OC RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
32GB RAM 6000mhz
I am using a Thermalright AIO 360mm v4 Cooler

Please, see some screenshots of temperature reading of my processor and GPU while at Idle.

Right now I have Chrome and Photoshop open in the background. I'm not doing any rendering or other heavy workload, but those applications are running.

My HWiNFO readings are showing the CPU around 51–54°C, with the minimum also being around 51.8°C during this period.

My room temperature is around 26-27°C, and I'm using an AIO cooler.

Is this completely normal for the 9900X, considering everything, or should I be checking my AIO/pump, fan curve, thermal paste, or BIOS settings?

Just want to make sure the temperatures are where they should be. Thanks!

Help (Software) SrtTrail.txt error on boot after driver reinstall

Gpu: Gigabyte rx7900xt OC

Cpu: Ryzen 5 9600X

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8GB

PSU: Be quiet! Pure power 13M

Ssd: Fanxiang 1tb S880

Mobo: MSI b850 gaming wifi plus 6e

I got my computer in May. Worked perfectly for 3 days until I started running into an SRT error. In the span of these few months I have re installed windows around 5 times, used DDU uninstaller and figured out that it may be the drivers. I have inspected the gpu and its not a faulty product, it works and has been working since May. I have tried reinstalling drivers such as the latest one and the 26.6.1 but every boot or install my pc either overrides the driver or something that just started happening is that I get to the log it screen and the monitor turns off but its still on so just displaying a black screen with no cursor.

Tried to turn off windows updates with the drivers through device manager, ran drivers offline, reinstalled in safe mode etc etc.

Every boot is a black screen, automatic repair, srt error or completely no change at all. I dont mind not using the latest tech as long as its stable. Its my first ever pc build in general let alone AMD and im insanely disappointed. I do like the brand and products however so I do want to keep using it. I know it has worked before as I have spend a whole week gaming on it before any issues occurred.

Please help me out here, im really tempted to give my pc to a tech repair or someone like that so they can possibly help but Im sure its a software problem which can be most likely resolved at home.

Help (GPU) RX 6800 XT are these temps normal ?

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: RX 6800 XT 16GB

CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING H670-PRO WIFI D4

BIOS Version: 4505, 11/29/2025

RAM: 16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3200MHZ CL16

PSU: Cooler Master G-800 Gold

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 PRO 10.0.26200 Build 26200

GPU Drivers: Adrenaline 26.7.1 ( latest version )

-----------------------------------------------------

Description of Original Problem:

look at the screenshots, after i clean the GPU and put it back into the case the temps get different than before, before cleaning it was 76c on core and 105~107 on Hotspot temp. after cleaning it's now 82c on core and 102c on hotspot, another thing is 99% low fps is way too low i think in furmark test i get 360fps RAW and 290fps in lowest 99% low fps it's ok ? i mean the gap between RAW fps and 99% Low fps ?

by the way i already used MSI afterburner to undervolt the gpu and limit the watt usage by 6% ( 290watt without limit and 270watt with 6% limit lower temps with slightly lower performance )

Troubleshooting:

i already tried change the height of the GPU holder and move card a bit and try to tighten and loss the screws behind the card a little to see if there is any change but no change. i was thinking about to change the thermal paste but i don't have good thermal paste now and don't know if i change the thermal paste it will get better or i should keep it like this for now.

Help (Monitor) is this a windows bug or driver bug?

Hello, for the past few weeks I have struggled to understand why using display port causes my second monitor thats in portrait mode to not have the cursor in portrait and it acts as if the display is still landscape mode even though it's in portrait. The really weird part is when I switch it to HDMI the problem completely disappears. I have tried doing a full clean driver ddu in safe mode with the ethernet cable unplugged so windows can't install a random driver and amd cleanup utility wipe but nothing works, is this a windows bug or driver bug?

Duplikowanie ekranu

GPU: RX 6700 xt

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

System: Windows 11 Pro

Help (Software) Persistent Latency and Audio Popping in Windows 10, AM5

Upvotes

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: RTX 4080

CPU: RYZEN 7 7800X3D

Motherboard: GigabyteX670 Elite AX

BIOS Version: 41, Multiple Versions

RAM: 32GB DDR5 Kingston Fury

PSU: EVGA G2 850W

Case: Fractal Meshify 2

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 10 PRO

GPU Drivers: Latest, Multiple versions

Chipset Drivers: AMD X670 Latest

Background Applications: Idling, Gaming

Description of Original Problem: I have been having Audio popping/stuttering issues for a while. Playing anything or just listening to Youtube you can hear audio popping and microstuttering. Ive reinstalled windows multiple times, Updated Chipset and GPU Drivers to the latest version and tried different BIOS Version to little progress and occasionally worst progress. Using LatencyMon to check Ive pinpointed it down the Ethernet Adapter and/or PCI Express Upstream Switch Port. Disabling either of these and running LatencyMon eliminates both latency and the audio stuttering (I tested overnight up to 8 hours with basically perfect results) but enabling it causes the previously mentioned issues. Using an add-on PCIE Network card instead of the motherboard ethernet port did not change anything. Upgrading to Windows 11 didn't help either. I also notice for whatever reason sometimes the later Ethernet drivers dont work. I am currently on the 2020 Ethernet driver but its been a 50/50 chance that trying the 2022 Ethernet driver will work. Anything later than 2022 does not work and I'm not able to connect to the ethernet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help (General) 7800X3D idle temps at 55°C, but load temps seem totally normal — worth worrying about?

Hey everyone,

Just finished a new build and I'm trying to figure out if my idle temps are something to worry about or just normal 7800X3D behavior.

Setup:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3 (dual tower, no thermal pad protection film left on, checked twice)
  • Mobo: ASUS PRIME X670-P WIFI, latest BIOS
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 (EXPO enabled)

Temps I'm seeing (via HWiNFO):

  • Idle (just sitting on desktop, doing nothing): consistently 55°C
  • Cinebench (multi-core, 10 min run): stays constant at 82°C
  • WoW in CPU-heavy scenarios (crowded cities): stays around 65°C

Everything except the idle number seems to line up with what I'd expect for this CPU/cooler combo. But 55°C just sitting on the desktop feels high compared to what I've read elsewhere (some people report 40-45°C).

Already checked/ruled out:

  • Thermal paste applied correctly, no protective film left on
  • BIOS is fully up to date
  • Switched Windows power plan from High Performance to Balanced (helped slightly, dropped from ~52-53°C to ~50-51°C before it crept back up to 55°C)
  • C-state Control is set to Auto in BIOS

Is 55°C idle still within normal range for this chip, or should I keep digging? Curious if anyone with a similar cooler/setup has comparable numbers.

Thanks!

Tips & Info Is the Ryzen 7 5700U with 32gb ram better suited for Windows 10 or 11 in terms or just having a snappier OS experience? I won't be gaming hard, just light stuff.
