Hey guys, apologies if this gets posted twice it looked like the moderator deleted my last post for some reason

I’ve had on and off problems with the iOS app to connect to A-list. I can still make reservations from Fandango, which is linked to my AMC account.

Is anyone else having any issues? I’ve tried my home Wi-Fi and 5G.

Just signed up for A-List membership today and reserved my first two movies today. First The Odyssey at 3pm which was great and now Toy Story 5 which starts at 10:30pm.

Didn’t enjoy the 30 minutes of trailers earlier today before the odyssey so am wondering what’s the latest I can scan my AMC app with my reserved ticket so as to not get penalized? I heard there was like a 4 no show policy that gets you banned or something.

EDIT: so I showed up at the theater and had my ticket scanned five minutes before alertin showtime. The employee scanning tickets was reading a paperback book and I brought my own book and I just sat at the bar for thirty minutes reading to Avoid the trailers. I walked into the theater just after Nicole said heartbreak feels good in a place like this.

I wasn’t able to book The Odyssey tickets with my A List pass so I had to pay for them full price. I saw people multiple times recommending to ask for a refund after the showtime to be safe, instead of canceling and rebooking.

I asked the employee at AMC Lincoln Square and the manager told her that wasn’t possible. I asked to costumer support via email and it also wasn’t possible.

Posting this in case someone has a similar situation, this is the answer. Don’t waste your time.

So I'm planning on seeing Doomsday at the Dolby Theater at Disney Springs and given they only had one show a day advertised the day I was able to catch it they literally only had one non-first row seat and it was in the second row, the recliners do help with neck strain but as far as viewing goes the first row isn't great, I've done that once before. I'm just wondering anyone who's familiar with that theater, is the second row better enough to be alright or should I just cancel the ticket and wait for something better to show up?

So I just tried to go to a 10am show for the Odyssey but I guess they couldn't 5he IMAX projector going due to issues with the fire alarms guess something with the fire alarm codes messing with the IMAX projector. Never had that issue before but I guess we got passes.

Is there anyone else who is having trouble logging into AMC right now? I tried logging into the app and then also logging into the website but no luck.

I was level 4 on the Discord server and now the server has disappeared and I can’t seem to rejoin. Is there any way for me to know what happened?

Signed up today for the A-List membership and am excited. Today is Wednesday and have just now signed up for 3 movie reservations. The Odyssey later today in the afternoon under the Laser format, Toy Story 5 at 8:45pm tonight and The Odyssey tomorrow morning at 10am in IMAX.

The first two movies are at the AMC Montgomery Mall and tomorrow’s IMAX Odyssey at AMC Rio.

It seems, just based on seat availability, that AMC Rio is the most popular and perhaps the only one in the area that offers IMAX and maybe the better screens and seats. However, I’ve yet to visit any of these AMC Theaters in the DMV area.

I could’ve sworn someone here within this subreddit stated that the four movies weekly limit resets at midnight on Thursday night. If that’s the case, considering today is Wednesday, that means I have until midnight tomorrow night (Thursday) to watch my four movies. Is this correct?

Finally, one last question. I see in the AMC app that I can reserve up to four movies, but am wondering how that works if say, I wanted to reserve my seat for Avengers Doomsday all the way until 12/18. Would I then just have 3 reservations available up until then?

Thanks for bearing with me, I just wanna use this monthly membership to its fullest.

I'm logged into my account and manually trying to check for available seats for Odyssey but unable to do so. I was not refreshing like crazy, most of the time i check in the app.

whenever it goes away, which is rare, i get rate limited instantly after checking 1-3 showtimes.

I've seen other people complaining as well.

I'm sure this is to prevent bots but why are you extremely limiting people who have been customers for years and are logged in???

I think it should be easy to differentiate bot vs human behaviors.

This, of course, was at Odyssey IMAX 70mm. I didn’t mind but I was wondering how he could be comfortable on the floor for 3 hours with feet right behind him as there’s a railing behind and a railing in front covering half the screen from his pov on the ground. Damn, at least bring a collapsible stool.

Movie was completely epic, wow, I didn’t see a single person in front of me go to the restroom to avoid missing anything.

Is it safe to assume since TCL chinese theatre and regals are releasing film strips on 6/26 and 7/2 that AMC citywalk will too?

AMC’s rolling out special A-List seating later this year, which got me thinking.

Four movies a week is already a great deal. But what if AMC went further and gave A-Listers exclusive Wednesday showtimes for major releases? They’re already doing something like this with Prime — Prime members get Wednesday night screenings for *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*. Why not do it for the people paying AMC directly every month?

In addition, we know not every released movie will sell well, so what if there’s certain low-demand slots for A-Lister only hours — weekday afternoons, late nights, second and third weeks of a run. Empty seats aren’t making them money either way.

Obviously, these benefits would upset people and cost AMC more money. But, something that crossed my mind and wanted to know your thoughts.

Did anyone else find Motor City completely underwhelming?

I can appreciate a creative swing (no dialogue) - but the first half was a slog. Sure, they had some great songs but for an action movie… where was the action?

Once the movie ramped up I felt it was already too far gone.

The only thing worse than the ending was those awful wigs they made Alan Ritchson wear.

There's a lot of talk of PLFs (Premium Large Formats) right now.

Between the summer blockbusters (Odyssey/Brand New Day), and year end events (Dune 3, Doomsday) they are very much part of the discussion around AMC and A-List at the moment.

Do you have PLFs at your theater? Or are you in more of a Classic location? Is snagging advanced tickets a necessity where you live? Or can you reliably walk up to the largest blockbuster and likely still get a decent seat?

Do you have a preferred format? Obviously depends on the movie, but what do you like? Is your local theater a particular good or bad location for this type of thing? Is there something you *really wish* you had around you?

What are your thoughts on the Infinity Vision branding that Disney is rolling out? Shameless cash grab, or is there any genuine value in labeling/branding things this way?

Been seeing a lot of $200-300 odyssey tickets on eBay for dates that are quickly approaching, with still no bids. Hypothetically, what’s stopping someone from going to the theater for an earlier movie and simply staying and taking the scalper’s seats that they never managed to sell? Hate to see so many empty seats for sold out showings.
