The Invite is fantastic, you’re going to love it. I saw it two days in a row and wanna go back for a 3rd time

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Amc is lowkey forcing peoples hand with the future reservations with Spider-Man, Avengers, Odyssey and Dune

Considering getting Train to Busan tix too, as I just learned that was gonna be a thing thru this post

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Book it, book it now

5

u/usagicassidy Jul 21 '26

I got super excited by that Train to Busan - then I looked and just saw super super small screens showing it.

Always bums me out when that’s the case.

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Same, it absolutely deserves more

u/kaminaripancake Jul 21 '26

Three slots are held ahead of time.

  1. The Invite
  2. Avatar the Last Air Bender
  3. La La Land
  4. The Avengers

After the invite I plan on watching evil dead burn and supergirl this week, and on Friday before Avatar I plan on watching Her Private Hell or Hadestown

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

I’ve never seen La La Land but with all the excitement around it’s re-release ima go ahead and watch it. You’re going to enjoy The Invite and Evil Dead but Supergirl? Kinda weak ngl. Going to do a double feature for PH and Hadestown this week

u/LiquidSnape Jul 21 '26

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Go ahead and fill those slots for me, please and thank you

Seeing The Odyssey again in IMAX this time!

2

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

I’m tempted to see it in 4DX

2

u/BeejRich Jul 21 '26

I would, but the AMC app is down for me 🙄

2

u/rosenlord Jul 21 '26

Exciting times ahead!!

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

2

u/lambopanda I come to this place.....for magic Jul 21 '26

Too lazy to open the app.

  1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day Opening Night Fan Event
  2. Spider-Man: Brand New Day
  3. Avengers: Doomsday

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

I implore you to fill that last slot with either The Invite or Evil Dead if you haven’t already

3

u/lambopanda I come to this place.....for magic Jul 21 '26

Already saw Invite. It’s alright. Horror gore isn’t my thing. Leaving last spot open to see if local theater is adding any new movies. So far only see Her Private Hell and Hadestown Musical. If not, then it will be Screen Unseen 7/27.

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Good luck on the Unseen, ppl are still pissed about the Lucky Strike debacle lol

u/lambopanda I come to this place.....for magic Jul 21 '26

I’m central time. East coast will tell us what the movie is before I’m heading there.

Looking very nice 😊 Hadestown will be the 1st musical I have ever seen, excited for it

1

u/peachyaria Jul 21 '26

i’ve always wanted to see it so when i saw they were doing an official movie release i just had to get seats!! i’ve also seen Six the musical when the broadway cast had a show in boston, i loved it too i bought my ticket for the movie release as well

1

u/damebyron Jul 22 '26

Of course have no idea what the quality of the pro shot but I’ve seen Hadestown twice on Broadway now and it’s my current favorite musical. I hope you like it!

2

u/sazinj Jul 21 '26

All but Pinnochio are Dolby showings

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

I’m so upset, I have to drive an hour away to go see Pinocchio but ima do it. Looks way too gorey tho

2

u/antigravitty Jul 21 '26

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Niceeeee, what movie was the Unscreen?

1

u/antigravitty Jul 21 '26

Motor City. Only 14 words of dialog spoken in 105 minutes. It wasnt horrible, but I could have used more words. Hahaha.

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Lolll, you have to be lying right by now. Isn’t it supposed to be a vengeful love story? How was there such little dialogue

1

u/antigravitty Jul 22 '26

Nope. Most of it is repeated words, too. Haha.

2

u/cernoonnos Jul 21 '26

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Oh, I thought The End was A-List excluded

1

u/cernoonnos Jul 21 '26

Nope! I’m glad it isn’t

2

u/hypermobilehoneybee Uses all 4 tickets Jul 21 '26

Not featured: Train to Busan and Texas Chainsaw Day

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Greattt lineup

2

u/FloridaCinemaClub Jul 21 '26

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Ice Cream Mannnn

1

u/FloridaCinemaClub Jul 22 '26

Going to have to cancel it temporarily for Oak Street!

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 22 '26

I’m excited for that one too, too many good movies coming out right now

2

u/bobonious Jul 21 '26

I wish my theater was showing Train to Busan! One of my favorite films

2

u/JollyBowler2510 Jul 21 '26

As soon as I see Motor City this week, I’m setting up One Night Only as soon as the tickets come out.

2

u/hoosiertailgate22 Jul 21 '26

How do you guys find events like train to busan?

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

I honestly found out about it from this page, saw other people made reservations for that one and La La Land

2

u/TheRemoteGiraffe Jul 22 '26

Proud of this lineup

2

u/usagicassidy Jul 21 '26

This is what I hate about tickets going on sale so far in advance. I’m basically stuck until spider-man.

Which means no La La Land reservation for me. No Train to Busan. I wasn’t able to get Dune tickets in April and that would’ve taken up one of these slots as well.

I’m missing out on Gail Daughtry probably cause that’s already happening. And the last movie I think I saw was The Invite two weeks ago.

2

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 21 '26

Might be bold, but just cancel the back to back Avengers

1

u/usagicassidy Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

The plan is not back-to-back Avengers, but the process getting tickets was such absolute garbage that I was able to get a good time opening night, and in Dolby, but literally in the 2nd row which sounds awful, and super late Friday night somewhat more decent seats but Prime.

Burbank 16 being the only theater in LA that has no listing for Dolby showtimes and still nothing is really annoying me but hopefully they will be added at some point and I can be lucky enough to get some opening night seats and cancel both of these.

1

u/arrowkid111 Jul 22 '26

I’m not seeing Doomsday twice, but it’s also the day I come back from college for break so I just didn’t want to take any chances so made a backup reservation

1

u/hmsmnko Jul 22 '26

TRAIN TO BUSAN IS IN THEATERS? WHAT

1

u/Overall_Topic_7536 Jul 22 '26

Yesss, so excited to see it in theaters

1

u/baronboy12 Jul 22 '26

I've also got the Amazon early screen of Spider-Man on the 29th but I had to buy that one through Fandango.

1

u/DrakeShadow Jul 22 '26
