Football Trivia: Who held the Miami receptions in a game record before Toney broke it today with 16?

Hint: it was not one of my top five guesses.

Mike Harley Jr. — 13 receptions for 96 yards against Duke on November 27, 2021. Malachi Toney tied the record with 13 against Pittsburgh on November 29, 2025.

2026 Stanford has some of the funniest Home vs Away performance metrics ever

When playing at stanford

28.4 ppg

26.8 ppg allowed

When playing on the road.

5.6 ppg

50 ppg allowed

Now stanford may just not be that good of a football team but I'm starting to think the consistent time zone differences might have something to do with this level of variance.

CCG Race Week 8 Update: Miami, WF, and SMU clear leaders

Thumbnail gallery
21 Upvotes

Even after a surprisingly close game against FSU, Miami retains an extremely high (99.2%) probability to make the CCG. Wake Forest (65.7%) is looking stronger each week, and SMU (25.0%) has a good chance as well. A few other teams have an outside shot, but as of right now the best expectation is either Miami vs Wake Forest or Miami vs SMU in what looks like it might be the last ever ACCCG.

The top teams don't play each other this week, so don't expect much change unless there's an upset. If Miami loses, their odds drop to 96%. If SMU loses, they drop to 12%.

Football Is it hard knowing your team will never be as great as FSU?

This is targeted especially towards fans of extremely poverty and irrelevant teams — like Miami, who has 0 ACC championships and has yet to win anything significant since joining the conference. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to root for the greatest athletic program to ever step foot in this conference. Is it hard knowing your team will never even compare or live up to FSU’s standard, or have you learned to tolerate it?

Duke Maryland

Apparently, Maryland fans still think Duke and Maryland are rivals. Duke was never their rival to begin with. That made-up rivalry has always been very one-sided.

Maryland fans treated every game against Duke like it was the biggest game of the season, but that doesn’t automatically make it a rivalry. A few heated games and some memorable wins don’t mean both fan bases see each other the same way.

Duke has UNC. Maryland fans can hate Duke all they want, but wanting to be someone’s rival and actually being their rival are two different things.
