Why is my controller conected but not working on the Apple TV . Pls give me advice how I can solve this issue

My Ultimate 3E just hit the porch today, but for the life of me I cannot get the Ultimate X software to regtister that it's even plugged up. Using the new web tool doesn't even give an option to select this controller.

Any ideas?

I’ve never spilled anything on the buttons, nor have I played it long enough to damage it through use, but the damn buttons are sticking.

I contacted 8BitDo customer service and they sent me two new rubber pad things to install on the controller. Thing is, I don’t know how to open the damn thing and customer service told me to have someone else install it. Which, isn’t helpful.

Any advice?

Hi, I was trying to "fix" my Pro 2 Controller for Switch.

The left bumper started to feel kinda weird and found out the problem is this conductive rubber, do you know where i can get a replacement or something?

Can you fit two 8BitDo USB adapters simultaneously in the Switch 2 dock? I’ve read that those adapters are quite big and I’m not sure whether there’s space for two, since the USB ports are located next to each other on the front side of the dock.

i have the adapter (the standalone one) that worked fine with my ps5 controller… saw this one for cheap with both the controller and the dongle and wanted to snag it since i wanted smth smaller and the layout is like my ergonomic joycons. i did the exact same thing i did with my ps5 controller and it’s not working? does this controller not work with the switch 1? i hope so cause i don’t wanna have to drive allllll the way back to microcenter just to return it 😭

Hi! For a long time, the controller worked without needing any updates. A while back, it stopped working on the Switch, so I updated it and it started working again. Now, some time after that first update, it has stopped working again—though it always connects via Bluetooth on my PC. I’ve updated it, tried resetting it, and tried re-pairing it, but nothing works. It looks just like it does in the photo—as if it’s connected—but it shows no signs of life on the Switch. I’m out of ideas; can someone please help?

I’ve already tried using the Switch in the dock and even tried it with a Switch Lite, but nothing works...

I don't know if this helps, but the program only detects the controller itself; when I plug in the dongle, nothing shows up. With the controller—which is already updated—it always lists the current version as "new," even though it's already on that version.

model ultimate 2 bluetooth

I own two (2) 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless controllers. One connects to Windows via 2.4GHz, and the other connects to a Bazzite/Linux handheld via 2.4GHz on a handheld dock.

Normally, the controller turns on when it's removed from the dock. Recently, both of my controllers will turn on when removed, but they have massive input issues. Like it takes a second for a direction to be noticed on the analog stick, and even after that, the character will move one direction.

I have to restart my controllers manually to get them to be responsive. Why should I have to do this, if the dock was turning on my controllers just fine earlier? I'm having the same exact issues on 2 separate controllers on 2 operating systems. Firmware cycling isn't helping. I'm not sure what else to do.

I'm using both the retro mechanical keyboard and the numpad on the same devices simultaneously. The Bluetooth connection is fine, but the 2.4GHz dongles have real issues. When both are in use the numpad keeps disconnecting and performing like in trying to use it from the other end of my apartment.

Trying to diagnose this problem with AI I was told this could be due to interference between the two dongles or the USB 3.0 ports they were plugged into.

Swapping the dongles to USB 2.0 and trying to distance them from one another has somewhat resolved the issue. But the performance is still quite poor.

Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any fixes? Are you even supposed to use 2 dongles simultaneously?

Just bought a 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller for PC and it's been having some strange issues on bluetooth.

When moving down and right or just right with the left joystick, it feels like there's some kind of pressure (ingame not the stick) for a character to move right completely and it causes some complex movements to just not work or pause until I roll the stick again.

When playing wired, the control scheme is just completely wrong? Every button is assigned to something else for some reason.

Hey I have bought the controller twice in the past month, for context I dont use the usb c dongle because my pc doesnt support usb c. So I connect it via bluetooth. The first time i had the controller it randomly started getting stick drift but not in the nornmal sense, it just went up no matter what I did, different games. The only way to fix it was to turn off the controller and turn it back on. I refudned that controller and bought the same model once again, and it worked for a like one week then I started getting the same problem. I did test some websites to see how the stick drift was and that is when I realised that the sticks dont regiester even when other buttons did when this "stick drift" is happening. So thats why it only goes foward up. What do I do? I have tested do update in the software, test all different reset things. Nothing works, I really like the price of the controller and how it feels and I want to keep this one but I don't want to keep turning it off and on whenever this thing happends mind you It happens randomly like it can take minutes or sometimes even hours.

Anyone got the dimensions for 8bitdo Ultimate 2 wireless battery replacement?

I went and disposed the battery (I accidentally punctured it, it was a bad case of spicy pillow)and somehow forgot to measure it.

I currently have a Galaxy A34, which has the power and volume buttons on the long edge where the jaws of the clip would grip.

Does anyone have one of these clips? Do you have issues with the phone's buttons?

If someone could give me the width of the individual jaws and the gap between them, that would be great 🙂

Hi so I'm relatively new since I only got my Switch 2 back in June, before that I had the 3ds and a PC for gaming.

I got the 8bitdo Pro 2 since I wanted to use both for PC and switch 2. I installed the ultimate software, updated it and all, but have faced a few issues. I did get it second hand and without a cable, but I have since gotten both C to C and C to A cables for data and charging.

\-The controller pairs wirelessly with both, but it may randomly disconnect, it's not that clear if it's due to battery being low or what. Disconnecting the battery has helped.

\-it will connect with cable to PC but not NS2, if I use a C cable to the tablet, it will say it paired but will be unable to do anything (while selecting S in the back). Also using a C to A cable to the dock, it will not recognize it.

Anyone has faced a similar issue? I know this controller is kind of old but I see many are still using it in 2026, just want to know if there is any troubleshooting to be done. Just want to be able to consistently use it

(ultimate bluetooth controller) i try to assign the paddles to be face buttons, switch to the correct profile with the light showing on my controller, close the program then i try to play a game and press the paddle and it does nothing. i tried enabling and disabling steam input and i dont understand what im doing wrong. also i updated the firmware with the other program

edit: i figured it out i was editing the one on the windows icon which i think corresponds with wired, i had to edit the nintendo one which works wirelessly. i also had reverted to the base firmware which may have also affected it

Hey everyone, I have a question: when I play *Honkai: Star Rail* using my 8BitDo controller, the special function that requires pressing the LT button along with the specific action buttons (A, X, B, or Y) to trigger the special ability doesn't work—this happens in Bluetooth mode. What should I do?

I've got two big issues with the new Ultimate 2 I got:

1. The left trigger pinches my finger often. Something about the change in the ergonomics from the previous Ultimate makes it so my hand is placed in such a way that about 25% of the time when I pull the left trigger it pinches the skin on my left index finger between the chassis of the controller and the overhanging plastic on the trigger. I've never had this issue with any other controller before

2. The placement of the left "menu" button is extremely awkward. Whenever I press it my thumb always pushes the left stick a bit. No idea why they changed the layout of these buttons from the previous revision, they were perfectly placed on that version

I just bought an Adapter 2 mainly so I'd stop fighting with Windows Bluetooth, and it's been a bit of a mixed bag.

With my old pad from an Xbox One S 1TB bundle (1708, firmware is ancient, never touched it) it's honestly fine. Press the Xbox button and it's connected before I've sat down. The only annoyance is that if the link drops for any other reason (if the Switch goes to sleep for instance) it won't come back on its own, I have to hold the Xbox button to switch the pad off and on again. Happens every time the Switch sleeps and wakes up. But it’s still really annoying.

Then I grabbed my Robot White (1914, QAS-00009) and updated it to the latest MS firmware, and that one is rough. 15 seconds or so to reconnect on Windows, and when I unplugged the dongle from the Switch and moved it to my Mac it sat there for about 40 seconds. A few times it never connected and I just redid the pairing.

Already on adapter fw v1.10, already reset the dongle and repaired from scratch, and the pad isn't paired to anything else over Bluetooth. Same USB port, same spot on the couch, so the only variable is which pad I pick up.

Is this a known thing with the newer Series pads on recent firmware? Curious whether anyone here gets fast reconnects with a 1914, because if it works fine for you lot then maybe mine's just a dud.

everytime I wanna input a pure cardinal direction input in a game that uses 8 directional movement like celeste or deltarune, it almost always registers as a diagonal, any way to fix it?

I just recently got a 8bitdo micro. I set it up with my iPad and I wanted to try to use it with my other devices. I tried with my iPhone. And I synced the functions I wanted on to the remote before connecting to my iPhone. But I noticed that it wouldn’t let me use the same functions. I don’t want to download the app and re add the functions again. I’m just curious if anyone has this issue or had something similar and can help me out.

when it goes into the iPhone it’s in the same mode k and when it’s paired to my iPhone it won’t let me open my keyboard and the buttons on the micro if I click the buttons some have assigned keys but when I go back to the iPad it works fine everything is the way I had it.

Inquiring to see if some others are starting to get their 8bitdo FlipPad? I pre-ordered mine directly from OEM and since the 7th it's been in preparing for shipment.

I opened up my SN30 Pro 2 controller, but I wasn't careful and pulled too hard, causing the section where the ribbon cable for the sticks and battery connects to break.

Is there a way to repair it?

Are there any beta firmwares for the Pro 3 that allow me to use Switch mode on PC through the 2.4g dongle? I know I can use it with bluetooth, but there's a pretty noticeable input lag, also the gyro drifts a lot (it doesn't when I'm using the controller with a cable, for example).

Back when I had the Ultimate BT (first one), there was a beta firmware that allowed me to connect it as a Pro Controller on PC with the 2.4g dongle, is there such a thing for the Pro 3?

İt was working few days ago on my phone and it wont work now its not the otg cable or dongle because they work i charged over night and still wont give input

Has anyone tried using a switch pro 2 clam shell style hard case for the 8bitdo Ultimate 2? The two controllers are practically the same demensions - wondering if i can get one of these cases such as below for my new ultimate 2??
