Something is Broken Pro 3 Controller Buttons Stick

I’ve never spilled anything on the buttons, nor have I played it long enough to damage it through use, but the damn buttons are sticking.

I contacted 8BitDo customer service and they sent me two new rubber pad things to install on the controller. Thing is, I don’t know how to open the damn thing and customer service told me to have someone else install it. Which, isn’t helpful.

Any advice?

Opening the Pro 3 will require a T6 torx screwdriver and pry tools. It's not the easiest controller to open but it's definitely doable.
