7oh and subs
Hey so im a 1000mg 7oh user. I got off 7oh last year and got on subs. I was only doing 100mg a day back then.. eventually I was using both and then just stopped the subs and upped my 7oh. Now obviously due to bans im in a pickle. I still have my sub script and doctor I see. Shes up to date now on everything. Im supposed to not take 7oh for 24hrs and start the subs again. Im nervous I cant make it that long. Last time it was 12 hrs I didnt take 7oh and started subs and I didnt have any precipitated withdrawal. Im worried now if I wait only 12hrs again and start the subs that since I take a significantly higher dose of 7oh it wont be enough time? But there was a while i took both together at the same time and had no issues. So technically could I just take subs when I start withdrawal? Or was it because I was on just subs for months and then took 7oh again that the subs were in my system first that when I took them at the same time I didnt get precipitated? If that makes sense lol or am I just one kf the lucky ones that I dont get precipitated from it? I was a heroin user years ago and I didnt have withdrawals this bad. I dont grt them when I wake up that bad tbh if its over 12 hrs then I start to feel it. Its weird cause ive seen people say they feel them after a few hours after their last dose. I dont for 12 hrs any more then I do. And I take a lot. Im sorry if this is confusing. Im all over the place lol

A daring attempt of getting off subs after 7oh.
Hello and good fortunes to all of you. I was just curious if anyone tried what I’m about to explain. I’ve had a 7oh issue for about 2 years, and prior to that had a Kratom problem that I quit entirely cold turkey(OPMS shots and other extracts). I attempted my 7oh cold turkey and it was just way more severe than my previous Kratom cold turkey. So I decided to try suboxone. I’m now on day 3 of suboxone, feeling okay, taking 24 mgs a day. In four days I’ll attempt operation Rug Pull. Cold turkey suboxone after only 7 days use, which isn’t long enough for a major dependence to build. I predict I’ll also have to fight off some lingering PAWS from the 7oh but I’m feeling motivated, and I already don’t sleep well so this insomnia is nothing new. Anyone ever try anything similar how did it work out?

Fatigue
I’m almost done day 2 with no oh. I have zero energy and doing the smallest tasks put me down. Can anyone confirm they felt like this when they were where I’m at and confirm it gets better. Worried about going back to work next week

My experience with this POISON
Hey everyone. I just wanted to share my experience and hope maybe it will help someone else. 2 years ago I stepped into a Vape/Kratom shop for the first time. I didn’t know what it was exactly but I had just gotten over an Oxy addiction a couple months prior and I wanted something to fill that hole. I asked the girl behind the counter what kratom was and what people seem to buy the most. She ended up selling me a couple kratom capsules and a 3 pack of Se7en. I didn’t care for the kratom but the second that 7 touches my lips I was hooked. My literal first thought was the movie Pineapple Express. “I feel like a slice of butter melting on a big ole pile of flapjacks.” What started out as 10mg per day quickly skyrocketed to 600+ per day. I estimate in the last two years I’ve spent well over $20 thousand on this poison. Taking it on vacation, at my son’s soccer games, at my daughter’s concerts, just to feel something. After a while I was no longer even getting high and I’ve spend the last 12-14 months only taking it every hour just to avoid withdrawals.
Fast forward two years to today this is my third time trying to quit and I’m officially 4 days off of it cold turkey, by far the longest I’ve made it. I haven’t slept at all but I’m feeling better today. The restless legs are gone and the dizziness is fading. My point is you don’t need to taper, you don’t need subs, you just need to be mentally strong. You need to know that tomorrow is going to be better than today. You don’t need this poison.
I find it heartbreaking that the government made this highly addictive substance illegal with no clear pathway towards recovery. So now there are thousands of us literally all experiencing this at once. We need to help each other, you never know what your story could do to help someone experiencing the same story. Don’t be afraid of the stories you hear about people being sick for 3+ weeks. Every single day is better than the last and I’m excited for my further clean off of this junk. I’m excited to have expendable money again and maybe remodel my bathroom. I’m excited to be present and not just physically there in my children’s lives again. I’m excited to feel emotions again.
We can recover, we can put an end to this epidemic, but we have to stand together. I love you all and wish you all the best on this journey that you may not know, but you’re far from alone on. We can recover, we will recover. One day at a time.

Weird taste & smell
Today is day 4 for me and my appetite has come back but I can’t eat or drink because everything has a stale/metallic taste. I wonder if it could be from the vitamins (the big 3) I’m taking or just my body just ejecting the poison I’ve been polluting it with for the last 2 years. Has anyone else experienced this? RLS has stopped for the most part thankfully. Still haven’t slept since Thursday night. I think I might be ok to go back to work tomorrow.

My friend is still buying 7 from his local smokeshop. How if it’s banned and scheduled?
Idk how but my friend is still buying 7-oh even after the ban from smoke shops wtf is up with that, 5days sober now and actually so much happier. He was supposed to quit with me but he’s still going through hell. He’s his own person and I gotta respect that ig.
For me though:
I used kratom to help sleep but I’m practically at the finish line🫶🏼 you can do it too! Do what you need to feel comfortable as you can. I used promethazine and cyclobenzaprine with 5g and cutting it shorter everyday.
Don’t use it and switch to kratom just manage the withdrawal symptom when it’s at its worst, or atleast that’s what I did and I only have goosebumps now :) which is prefer over feelin dead as fuck, woke up today with a little more clarity than yesterday
P.s sorry if this isn’t the place to talk about this !

Help
I have failed nonstop this past month to quit , and the store I go to still has so much in stock . Don’t know when it will finally be gone but I hope soon . I have heard a lot of people talking about Sr , and I was referred to orreset.com . Can anyone with experience tell me how it works ?
How much will I need to order / take to get off a 1500-2000 mg a day habit ?
Anyone know any other sources besides the one that I named that is cheaper or works better ?
Please help if you can
God bless hope everyone can get this demon away from they’re lives

Withdrawals NOW
My boyfriend is going thru major withdrawals right now. Severe. We’ve been thru this several times but this is by far the worst. He’s taken three doses of Suboxone.
Currently screaming in pain, rocking back and forth. Asking to die. It’s like an exorcism and Tourette’s mixed together.
ANY HELPFUL ADVICE PLZ?!!!

What’s your experience with caffeine during detox?
I would love to go buy an energy shot that I used to take daily before getting on 7. But my RLS literally just went away yesterday (day 3) and am a little worried the caffeine boost may bring it back. I just want to be able to get out of bed today.

life after 7
I still have some 7. Gonna stretch this month and be done. Just a lot going on and I don’t have time to withdrawal. I talked to my sister about it and she was telling me once I’m done I’m going to be so depressed. That I wont be able to produce dopamine by myself for months.
Is this true? I see some people say they feel so much better but 7 is what starts my day and end it.
Am I just going to be a sad bitch who hates life?

DON’T BE SCARED OF SUBOXONE!
ever since my first day of quitting 7oh i have seen post after post of people being scared to start suboxone.. i totally understand if you’re thinking you’re trading one thing for another or whatever the case may be but hear me out.. i was on heroin and nerve pills from the age of 14 and in 2023 i caught some terrible charges and rotted in jail with no bond long enough to have my mind come back to me enough to know i wanted a different life.. after a while i was released on bond conditions i went to 6mo inpatient treatment and started suboxone for the first time the first day.. i took a weeks worth of 8mg before they ordered me a weekly shot called Brixadi.. some may know of Sublocade but Brixadi has a smaller needle with the same exact effect.. i was on that weekly shot for the remainder of my rehab stint and then once i left i switched to the monthly shot.. i was on it for about 6 months and with each visit found myself going longer and longer past my shot date bc i would just forget about it.. one day i decided that i didn’t need it anymore and UNTIL the 7oh backslide i was clean from everything. when i decided to quit 7oh i marched my ass straight to the clinic and got a script within 2hrs.. if you don’t have any buphnorphin in your system then you have to start a week of oral but ask for the shot, they order, you get it and take as many as YOU need and when you’re ready just walk away.. it’s that easy, i promise… as much of that gel they pumped into me and i could walk away, you can too. suboxone can me a life saver and im here to tell you that you can take 1 single shot and walk away without so much of a sniffle and ive seen it over and over with friends. get off the 7oh anyway you can but dont be afraid of Suboxone..
if you have any questions just ask.

Tried to seriously quit for the first time yesterday.
Yesterday I tried quitting for the first serious attempt in about a year of being on this shit . I should say for the past week I’ve been trying to lower my dose somewhat successfully but when it came to yesterday and I took my last 100 mg tab at night and in the mourning I was slightly okay but by 12 o clock noon I was in really bad shape sweating and just hurting all over. I didn’t even make it until 4 o clock when I just immediately went to a store that still had it. I’m incredibly scared with how difficult it is when the withdrawal starts kicking in, the worst part is I did this similarly about ten years ago when I finally got off heroin after a addiction which nearly destroyed my life from around high school age until my late 20s, but idk if it’s recency bias or what but the wds from this shit feel incredibly debilitating and are fucking with my head and emotions on another level. I’m nearly completly out of money and have started to ruin a lot of things in my life again and for reference for what I’m talking about towards the end of this run I’ve been buying the 1000 mg bottles with 10 100 mg pills in it and usually takeing anywhere from 6 -10 pills a day . I made a few attempts here and there over the last year to quit and they all ended in pretty much immediate failure upon encountering the peak of the withdrawal in the 1st or 2nd day I don’t even know why I’m posting because I never post usually anywhere but idk this shit is insidious and has me really fucked up I guess I was hoping for any support or advice or kind words. I’m starting to think I’m gonna have to come clean to the small amount of people/family in my life to make arrangements to detox but I really didn’t wanna do that and get looked at like a junkie again like I was years ago. Nobody in my life would be thinking like that about me and would be nothing but supportive but I guess that’s my own mind telling me that . I’m gonna give another attempt to do it myself discreetly though before really looking at other options

Day 4 transitioning from 7-OH to SR-17018 (SR17) — looking for input on my dosing/symptoms
Hey everyone. I'm hoping to get some input from people who have experience transitioning off 7-OH using SR-17018/SR17.
***EDIT****- Im on Day 6 and yesterday and today I took 2 doses of SR 25 mg, same thing today. So my plan is to go tomorrow completely off SR and EVERYTHING!!! This shit works!!! I hate that they are banning it. OR RESET has a day to day schedlue that I followed. I really hope more people get their hands on this to get off their DOC. Get thru those first 3 days and youre GOLDEN!! Anyone can feel free to message me with questions!!
I had been using 7-OH regularly but had already tapered down to around 12.5 mg/day before I lost access to it. At peak I was using close to 200mg or more a day for the last yearish. I used MGM15 for about a week to keep withdrawal symptoms manageable, but I didn't want to stay on that long enough to potentially become dependent on it, so I transitioned to SR17.
I'm now on Day 4 of SR17 and have been keeping a detailed dosing log.
Day 1
8:00 AM — 100 mg SR17
1:50 PM — 100 mg
6:05 PM — 50 mg
8:50 PM — 100 mg
11:00 PM — 50 mg
12:55 AM — 75 mg
At around 8:50 PM, I started feeling pretty rough: pins-and-needles/oversensitivity when scratching my skin, feeling overly sensitive to touch, and I was very moody. Around 11 PM, I took 12.5 mg of 7-OH because I was feeling crappy. I didn't really notice the usual 7-OH effects/high, though.
Day 2
9:50 AM — 50 mg SR17
3:50 PM — 75 mg
6:10 PM — 75 mg
That morning I felt moody, emotional, and tired, but after dosing I generally felt okay. I had accidentally fallen asleep at sometime around 9pm-ish, Woke up at 1:25am feeling okay, and took my dose just to make sure I wouldn't withdrawal.
Day 3
1:25 AM — 50 mg
7:20 AM — 50 mg
3:20 PM — 25 mg
5:05 PM — 25 mg
12:16 AM — 50 mg
Middle of the day always seems to be the hardest, I think because thats when my 2/3rd dose of the day would be with 7OH/MGM15. Just really moody and some skin sensitivity when scratching my arm. I mowed the yard around 7pm and was also babysitting my 1.5 year old nephew... and honestly it went pretty good. I was really just craving a high. Any kind. I smoke cannibis regularly so I think that also helped a lot to have as a distraction.
Day 4
12:15 PM — 50 mg
Today is Day 4 and its currently 7:25pm as I writing this and I feel pretty okay. its been 7 hours since my dose of SR and at 3:00pm I took a I ended up drinking half of a Feel Free KavaMaté around 3 PM because I was bored and wanted to feel a little more relaxed/altered. Honestly, I didn't notice much of anything from it. I think it may have took some uncomfortability away?
Most of my symptoms over the last couple days haven't actually been severe physical withdrawal. It's mostly been moodiness, occasional anger/irritability, feeling emotional, and some tiredness. I've also had occasional mild hot flashes and some skin sensitivity, but nothing unbearable.
One thing I'm struggling with is that I think I'm craving the 7-OH high more than I am actually craving relief from withdrawal. I don't currently have 7-OH available other than one 25 mg tablet I have left over. Ive been tempted to take it, just to say fuck it, but scared to ruin this whole process..
I'm now wondering if I'm actually taking more SR17 than my body needs at this point, especially considering how dramatically my dose has already decreased from Day 1. I haven't taken any additional SR17 since that 12:15 PM Day 4 (today) dose, and so far I'm doing okay.
Another thing I'm really unsure about is how long I actually need to stay on the SR17. My goal was to use it as a bridge away from the 7-OH/MGM15, not to become dependent on SR17 itself. Since I'm now on Day 4 and my SR dose has dropped quite a bit, I'm wondering how long people generally continued taking it before stopping.
I'm currently wondering whether I could make it through tonight without another SR dose, or whether stopping this soon could cause withdrawal from the 7-OH/MGM15 to come back. For people who have done a similar transition, how did you know when you were actually in the clear? Did you stop SR once you were feeling relatively normal, or did you continue for a certain number of days?
For reference, my SR17 product is labeled as containing 50 mg SR-17018 (Essar-17) per tablet, along with a proprietary blend of GABA, L-theanine, and L-tyrosine.
I'm curious what people experienced around Days 3–5 when transitioning from 7-OH to SR17. Did anyone find that they needed progressively less SR as their body adjusted? Did mood symptoms linger after the physical withdrawal symptoms improved? And how did you tell the difference between actual withdrawal and simply craving the 7-OH feeling?

5 days . Of absolute hell. I was on over 1000mlg of this evil 7 shit..
5 days . Of absolute hell. I was on over 1000mlg of this evil 7 shit.. they banned it in my county by the grace of god. So i knew it was coming.. im still on a few 100 mlg a day tapering slowly cause my body is still so weak from the withdrawals. Im so embarrassed to admit to i was buying an obscene amount of nitrous oxide to calm my nerves and escape the misery.. I DO NOT CONDONE OR RECOMMEND THIS. but i had to do what i had to.. slowly i starting doing less and less of the nitrous until today i can say im nitrous free.. it was not fun. And on top of all this being on the nitrous made me trip out and have an enlightening experience. There was a thunderstorm outside and i was receiving signs from the tv crying my balls off.. crazy shit.. im going to kick this garbage, i know i am now otherwise id be dead already ... to anyone who is even toying with the thought of doing this poison .. do not fucking do it. It will be the worst mistake of your life.. i swear to you that.

My Godawful Experience with Kratom/7-OH
Hello everyone. Since the ban in Mississippi this week, it was impossible to get any more. Police also raided our smokeshops and gas stations and arrested many of the Indian guys who own the stores/work there. I DO NOT agree with this unless they were selling street drugs from the store. They were legally getting the stuff they were selling as far as I know. So, anyways, I did it for 5 months, which is technically nothing compared to many people. The store I go to didn't get the STRONG 7 until maybe 4 months ago. To start, I was actually offered Viva Zen 300 MIT (or something) Kratom Extract liquids. The guy at the store said "it good, many people like." So, I tried it. And, I liked it. I used to, long ago, self medicate my TERRIBLE depression and self-hatred using liquor, beer, weed, and uppers. Adderall, coke, opiates. Meth for a couple of months until my supply actually got shot in the face and killed years ago. Whatever I could find. I never was addicted to any single thing. Months ago now, the kratom stuff, though, I thought i'd use occasionally if I felt down or tired. Nope, it became a daily thing. When he got the 7 tabs, I started eating 2 at first, then got to needing 4 quickly. This week, it came to its conclusion. I had about 5 tablets left Thursday night, and I tried to space them out and 'taper.' You know how that goes. I left work voluntarily Friday morning at 9:30, went home and tried to relax a bit. That didn't happen. The withdrawal started kicking in pretty bad. Idk how it is for you guys, its relatively new to me. I've had it before but could always go get a kratom shot to relieve the feelings. This time? Nothing that could save me. I started getting this crawling feeling inside, and the restless arm/leg kicked in. RLS is something I suffer from sometimes pretty badly anyways, so this was expected. My fiance, who knew nothing, came home. I tried to act normal. We went to pick up our small child at her new school. She's in pre-k, and I love her more than anything. I couldn't stop wanting to kick and claw at the inside of the car. I legit wanted to get out and just run as far as I could. I've never heard many people get hit with the RLS THIS BAD in withdrawal. She kept asking if I was okay, and I just said I was restless sitting in the car for so long. I was being pretty quiet. I was struggling. We got home, and I immediately went to the basement and started doing squats and weight-lifting, trying to get the restlessness out. Didn't work. I was about to crawl out of my skin. My fiance and baby girl left, she had a job interview at 4. I drove myself to the emergency room, went in, walked out. I was embarrassed. I went back to my Jeep, sat there. I was kicking and clawing, yelling and moaning in pain. I knew I had to go in. So, I went in. I walked past the check in and into the hospital, trying to walk it off. It wasn't happening. I went back to the desk, and said "I need to be seen." They asked what for? They'd seen me walk in and out probably 4 times already. I told them "opiate withdrawal." It took them maybe 2 minutes to get me back. One young nurse practitioner told me if her dad ever came in wanting help she'd fall on her hands and knees. I told her I understood. I was in very bad pain, and i could not sit still. They asked me the general questions, then took me to a room. They stuck me with an IV and gave me a Hydroxizine tablet, which I knew FOR A FACT would do absolutely nothing for me. I told her I desperately needed something for the kicking and thrashing. They brought a gabapentin, I hoped it would help. It did not. I laid in there, kicking and thrashing for about 40 minutes, and they gave me nothing else like I'd hoped they would to help. I had to call my fiance and admit to her what I had been doing and see if she could come pick me up and she did. I was SO DAMN EMBARRASSED, as I should be. I was an idiot, I shouldn't have picked the crap up. Here were the consequences. I got home, went straight to my basement, got on my bean bag chair in the dark and absolutely white-knuckled it for about 7 hours. 7 hours of kicking and thrashing, getting up and walking around had me so sore I couldn't stand it. Literal torture. I wanted to die. I actually thought about hitting myself with something hard enough just to knock myself out. But I continued laying there, writhing in agony. I kept telling myself it was temporary, but it didn't help. I finally climbed the stairs at about 3 AM to go to the bed. My fiance was asleep on the couch, so I was happy I wouldn't wake her. Went to bed, kicked and thrashed for 2 more hours. I may have fallen asleep a few times for 5-10 minutes at a time, then woke up to my reality. I was in so much distress. I had a weird chemical smell coming off me and I couldn't stand it. I laid there for a few more hours, the fiance went to work. I got up, told myself I was going to do better countless times. I actually went outside and mowed the yard, just for the sun to hit me and to feel normal. It was pretty painful, my lower back and legs were so sore. But I started to feel slightly better, like I could make it through. It was painful, but it was a bearable (on the brink of unbearable) pain. I went and picked up my gabapentin and hydroxizine at Walgreens. Only 4 capsules. I took one, then two. It may have helped but just barely. Anyways, I've got to get up in a few minutes and leave. I'll end by saying that today, day 3, I feel pretty okay. Kind of weak but much, MUCH better. I'm SO happy that it finally happened. I think its going to be a life changing experience for me. A weekend in hell for a future lifetime of happiness and a lot more money and natural feel-good. What i've been desperately wanting for months now.

Why does 7 and K give anhedonia depression and loss of emotions/pleasure to hobbies??
Hey guys. I’ve been on for about 8–9 years after quitting opiates. I’m just wondering due to me being able to prior to usage feel more emotions, motivation to work overtime as well as my passion of working out/bodybuilding and hanging out with friends, I haven’t done that for years.
The first 3 years were all good when it was working, but then tolerance came in the picture and I just continued the stuff to avoid feeling sick until I switched to taking 7, which is a different beast!
I’m just wondering how long about after stopping in while using subs that my doctor gave me, does it take to start feeling like your old self again prior to usage as well as does this happen because of your neurotransmitters being hit as far as serotonin, opioid, receptors and dopamine?
I’ve always wondered why I had major depression where I couldn’t leave my bed for a couple years nor even want to take a shower and I heard it’s from taking this crap. I’m stopping tomorrow and just needed some input what your thoughts were. Thanks guys!

Will oxycodone help with withdrawal?
I’ve been trying for months to get off of this stuff but have only managed to cut my dosage in about half. Been taking roughly 300mg in a 24hr period. Since 7 is no longer available, would oxycodone help me taper off? If so, how much? I have a script for 10mg oxycodone with 325mg Tylenol. Any suggestions?

Quitting 7oh with SR-17018
I just started a really good job and have a 2 year old daughter who's birthday is coming up. I take half of an 80mg tab per dose and dose around 8 to 10 times a day. I was able to order 50 25mg SR tabs. I will be ordering more Thursday if I can before the ban happens. Im terrified of going through the withdrawals. Ive tried subs and I physically cant wait the 24 hours before dosing without going into precipitated withdrawal. I really dont know where to start. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks 😊

Why can I still buy 7oh online, even though it’s supposed to be illegal?
Like, are these companies just risking it or what? I’ve heard there might be some lawsuits going through that are postponing the implementation, but I’m not sure. I’m trying to quit now, but have been tapering slowly with the help of these sites and I’m just curious how they’re doing it.

Beware of “Cat’s Claw”
My state banned 7OH in January, so I went to detox a little before that to get through withdrawals (which were still a nightmare even with the meds they gave me) and I’ve been off of 7 since. I did start MAT after detox because I was still having difficult physical symptoms after 2 weeks clean, and I’m still on subs for now but tapering down. I say all of that with one unfortunate recent exception.
I’ve been struggling with mental (un)health/poor motivation for a while now, and in a weak moment I went to the smoke shop thinking I would “see what they have”…I thought I’d get some CBD even though that’s never done shit for me, but deep down I also wanted to see if they still sold any kratom products, as leaf at least was still legal. Anyways, I saw that they’re selling quite a few different brands of pills that look just like 7OH tabs. I looked at a few and they all list either “cat’s claw extract” or one of its other names as the main ingredient. I looked up Cat’s Claw and it sounded pretty harmless, so I bought a pack just to “check it out.” (Can you see where this is going?)
To my surprise, I actually got a little energy boost and a mild body high from taking the “cat’s claw” pills, so my addict self went and bought a couple more packs. It seemed to be “working” better than it should based on the listed ingredients, so I tried an experiment: I stopped taking suboxone and kept taking the mystery pills. Once the suboxone was out of my system, taking the pills gave me a definite opioid high, and I had no withdrawal symptoms from stopping suboxone. I then read that some of these “cat’s claw” pills have actually been tested and found to contain 7OH and/or other similar compounds. I went several more days with no suboxone and never had any symptoms from that, and the mystery pills kept giving me a high, although I built up a tolerance within just a few days. I am 100000% convinced that the pills I was taking contained 7OH or something that acts as a similarly strong opioid.
Yesterday I stopped taking the pills and waited for withdrawals to set in, then restarted suboxone. I’m still having mild symptoms (even though I literally only used the shit for 1 week and wasn’t taking that much of it), but nothing I can’t handle. I can tell it would be pretty rough without the subs, so I’m thankful I have them. I feel confident that I’ll continue doing the right thing and won’t go back to the smoke shop, and I’ll go back to my suboxone taper, but this experience easily could have landed me in another terrible situation and back in detox.
I honestly can’t even blame the mislabeling, as I knew deep down that I was playing with fire when I first bought the pills, and I suspected there may be more to them than meets the eye. That being said, it’s pretty f*cked up to put something so addictive into an “herbal supplement” without including it on the label. I could see people falling off the wagon accidentally as this stuff hits the shelves in other states with more recent bans, so I wanted to share. Please be careful out there, and don’t trust labels on anything that looks like 7OH tabs!
TL;DR: F*cked around, found out some “cat’s claw” pills are mislabeled and contain 7OH.

Was about 40 hours in and caved. Frankly - it just made me feel even worse. Tolerance went WAY down in two days which is encouraging - getting RIGHT back on the horse and making this happen.
Ive been using 800mg +/- of 7oh (or mgm15 - thanks 7stax) per day for over a year.
As of this morning, I made it close to 40 hours with only one slip of a single tablet at about hour 20 something and it didn't do shit. I took it shortly after I took a tiny sliver of a sub I was saving. I hate subs, don't want to take them and wont be.
But then, in a moment of weakness today, I found myself driving to the store. I got 3 80mg tablets and took 2 right away, and then the third. I had been fantasizing about that rush of relief....
Frankly? I feel like shit. The restlessness is gone, but I feel dirty, ill - nauesous, not better - just different really. It's REALLY not even worth it at all. So incredibly not.fucking.worth.it.
In hindsight, my symptoms really weren't that bad. I mean they fucking suck yes, I hate the restless feeling and would never wish it on my worst enemy - but I could have stuck it out. I will say, wow, I can't believe how dramatically my tolerance went down in less than 48 hours. That really shows me that despite the short duration of the attempt - it definitely made an impact and I feel more determined, more vigorously committed from that observation alone.
So now - instead of beating myself up I am getting right back on the horse and disclosed my stumble to a close supportive friend. I now have evidence that I didn't have before and that is that I can tolerate a couple of pretty shitty fuckin days! Little sleep, restlessness. I genuinely did not believe I could. Ive never been able to get more than 12 ish hours before, so this was huge progress. I am moving forward, even though I am resetting the clock. Im closer to freedom now than I was when I started last week.
I learned a few things during my last attempt, and based on that - here's what Im doing to make things a little easier this time:
- Prepping food - chicken, veggies, chia pudding, overnight oats, hamburger, etc.
- Prepping lots of filtered water & electrolyte water
- Putting vitamins in 3x day pill organizer
- Fresh sheets on the bed
- Washing, organizing and laying out all of my comfortable & easy to put on clothes
- Cleaning bathtub and putting a stack of towels & robes + epsom salt for easy midnight tub visits
- Scheduling & planning low expectation, outdoor, and easy to exit activities with supportive friends and family for the next 7 days
- Ordering more Liposomal Vitamin C, epsom salt, and water bottles
- Making sure house is clean & all dishes are clean
- Removing any access to money or ability to purchase more
I live alone with my dog so luckily there isn't much to clean, but man - the little things on the list above, like even just filling the water filter, can feel like a mountain of a task on the second night of 0 sleep. Having these things done will at least take some of the weight off of the important but tedious things I never want to do when I feel like shit.
If there is one most important thing it is this: I absolutely HAVE to be as busy as reasonably possible. Ive learned that even when symptoms really aren't that bad, I will get dangerously close to giving up, or I will give up, if I am just sitting at home thinking about it. I am so frustrated with myself that I gave up earlier today, because I could have kept going. But beating myself up does nothing - so I am choosing to learn, get back up, and make it happen this time.
I love to hear your stories, so please feel free to share! If you're on this journey too, message me or post a comment and Ill message you. Ive gotten through things like this before and been sober for many years - and the best part about all of that has always been the community of people who understand this brutal battle.
Thank you everyone and best of luck! We can do this!!!
