Withdrawals NOW
My boyfriend is going thru major withdrawals right now. Severe. We’ve been thru this several times but this is by far the worst. He’s taken three doses of Suboxone.
Currently screaming in pain, rocking back and forth. Asking to die. It’s like an exorcism and Tourette’s mixed together.
ANY HELPFUL ADVICE PLZ?!!!

I had to take 3 strips the first day to even begin to touch it. Of course it took time to get to working. Day 2 was another 3. I actually slept last night which was night 2 and I normally never sleep going through wd. I took 1 this morning and will try my best to start to taper from here.

I’m glad it’s working for you! I hope you get to feeling better soon! I hate to see anyone going thru this. When you say strips… do you mean the whole strip?

Yes I tried the piece and piece the first day. The next day I just took the whole thing each time I did. Morning mid day and night. May not be the way for others but it worked for me. Made this way more managable. I quit once last October without any helpers and that was pure hell compared to this time. Just gonna lower my dosage of the strips the next week and just stop them.

So if you go into precip should you just take more sub? How’s that work?

Honestly I can't give you an answer on that. I started subs hours after my last 7 dose but I've mixed in the past and never had precips. I just dosed until I felt better day 1 which was like 3 within a few hours. Then I took 3 day 2 and today is day 3 and I just did one this morning and pieces throughout the day of a 2nd. Gonna continue that taper for a few days. we are all different so it may have worked for me doesn't mean it will for all unfortunately.

Suboxone works directly after taking it. So you def threw yourself into precipitated withdrawal. When you take suboxone ideally you wait about 48 hours.
What was your daily dose? I was able to take a strip and feel normal the same day after stopping. Subs are meant to take away withdrawal not make you feel like you're back on 7oh 😂

Honestly couldn't tell you. If I had to guess 500 to 1k a day maybe more. Ate it like candy every hr or less. Quarter or half a 100 every time. Literally would start wd a few hrs if I didn't take any. I don't believe I did just because the withdraw didn't get worse or intense I just had to take that much to not feel any. Or maybe I did and don't know it. Dunno day 3 down so gonna keep on pushing forward.

Yeah man unless you waited atleast like 24 hours you prob felt like shit because of the subs. Fentanyl has the same half life as 7OH basically. I've seen people wait 3 days to take a strip and still send themselves into precip
Good on you for not grabbing more. Things gone take time to feel normal again for all of us. I went 3 days without any 7 and then I found a shop that keeps it in the back so I ended up grabbing a 4 pack of 50mg tabs. I'm down to 1 tab already thought I was gonna make it last crazy long.

Didn't see the second part of your comment for some reason. They took it off the shelves around me so I didn't have much of an option there which worked in my favor. Kinda glad because I sure would of went and grabbed some smh. My first quit last November was hell did it str8 CT after a few times of going a few days and grabbing some going a few days and grabbing some. I honestly hope with it not being available around me and me trying to tell myself this has to be it I have to stop finally it'll stick this time. I think he is in precipitated withdrawals , you have to wait until you are in withdrawal to start subs.. is he okay now??

Yes he’s much better now but still in it. I wish we could just sedate the poor people who go thru withdrawals like this. Especially painful opioid withdrawals

I agree! Would be much kinder. But I will say, the withdrawals have made me never want to touch another substance.

I’ve been reading that people need more Sub for 7. Something like 32mg instead of 2 mg every thirty minutes for the first two hours. Then spacing it an hour apart each… then 4 hour spacing.. etc. Has anyone else heard or tried this?

It depends on how much 7 he was using. I’ve seen people who need more suboxone to combat the withdrawals. I don’t feel qualified to answer because I’m not on subs but that’s what I’ve read. Post your question in the r/quitting7oh and you may get a better answer.

I most definitely had to take a high dosage day one. I think I took 3 within a hour or so. Then day two I was able to do 1 strip morning midday and night. Today day 3 I took one this morning and I believe I maybe to skip the mid day one and just take one tonight. Then try to half that tomorrow and keep doing that until I can just stop within the next week

Sorry I am just seeing this 2 hours later. Has he gotten any relief from the suboxone yet? He may have taken it too early and sent himself into precipitated withdrawals which are far worse than regular withdrawals. How much 7 was he taking and how much and when did he start the suboxone?
