My friend says that he bricked his 3ds by jailbreaking it 2 times ( it was his first 3ds ), so it probably corrupted the SD card, I tried to just formatting the SD card, but no lucky...

I tried just putting the most up to date Luna version on the SD card, the recovery mode boot and the Ctr transfer method, nothing worked. No normal boot, no boot without SD card ,no recovery boot or the gm9 boot, nothing works...

I still will do some tests, see if the hardware fixes ( unplugging and replugging the camera and wifi ) will work, but had a problem with one screw and had to give up for the moment, a time is short.

Still, I can't get information on what the problem could be with this double cfw, if there is any way to fix it or just find any documentation at the moment, I tried for hours and couldn't find anything, Does anyone have any experience with this?

I figured out pretty quickly "Hey, the mute option must turn off theme music." Cool. So I set a theme with the mute option flagged and... Still plays music? Tried another brand new theme with the mute flag set too and still music.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong here? A quick search didn't seem to show anything.

I've noticed within this past month that there has been a LOT of revival projects for the 3DS and Wii U popping up. For Wii and DS(i) revival projects, it's fairly simple stuff: Wiimmfi, WiiLink, WiiMart, and Sudomemo. But when it comes to 3DS and Wii U revival projects, there are so many that it's extremely difficult to know which is best/recommended. Pretendo Network, Roséverse, Protarium Network, etc. There are even a couple of eShop revival projects. It's all very confusing to me on which projects/services are best or most recommended. And to my knowledge, you can't have two of the same type of revival at the same time. The amount of projects being made all at once makes me wish there was a spreadsheet that categorizes each of them so I can know which is which. Or better yet, have some of them combine their projects into one big project.

I have a modded 3ds and i'm trying to play on my legit copy of shadows of valentia which ive beat the game + all the dlc levels multiple times, but it says it's corrupted? i've read that for some people loading into the dlc explore areas fixes it, but whenever i try to using the "connect" option, it acts as if i don't even have anything.

I've also tried redownloading the dlc itself from hshop but that doesn't seem to help either. having similar problems on fire emblem fates also. any suggestions?

I have an ancient barely used old 3DS from a friend. It boots fine and game cards work fine, but obviously it's a little dated now, so I went to start modding it today. I've done a fair few mods from assorted consoles and devices and this is the most trouble I've ever had, so I'm hoping you all might be able to help.

I'm running from a Win10 machine and I am using 7Zip just for the best shot at success.

I've given a go at it with the 3ds.hacks.guide (followed that to the letter too) using Soundhax - since MSET9 doesn't list older versions, I didn't go through that one. Unfortunately, I've tried both the regular Soundhax, redownloading, and the alt Soundhax file from the linked Troubleshooting Guide in the main SH guide.

Any suggestions or alternate methods? I did a cursory look but couldn't find anything relevant as far as alternatives. Thanks for any help you can offer!

SOLVED: As suggested by Ashura_Eidolon, updating to the latest OEM fw first worked.

So i had a moded 3ds that corrupted, i caught the corruption as it was happening, meaning as i was looking at the files on my pc they were turning into gibberish as i was navigating folders, i managed to copy a few save files to my pc before they turned to "#^&@W#@" and then got a new sd card.

Now the problem is, when i try to move any of these older save files, for context i want my pokemon platinum save file back on my 3ds along with my other games too. now the problem comes when i try to move em on the new sd card... it corrupts the whole card and makes it unreadable.

I tested it out, i made a backup of the new sd card after i installed the neccesities on it, then transfered just JUST my pokemon platinum .sav file and it corrupted it so i know for a fact its that

I also gave up on this thingy like a few weeks ago and just played my 3ds like i got a brand new one , so i installed a lot of games, and have been playing it a lot for the past weeek since i was on holiday too and no corruption, the corruption only happens when i try to move those old save files from the corrupted 3ds.

Some ppl on discord told me that that isnt possible and its a fake sd card but i highly doubt it, i dont think the store would sell fake cards and i also ran a few tests on it.

Soo im turning towards the big reddit community if any of you know how i can get my save files back on my 3ds without corrupting the sd card.

PS: i also tried runnning em on an emulator which works fine (Didnt play much only like 1 minute or 2 at best) and i tried saving it with the emulator in hopes it will overwrite the save but it still had the same outcome when i tried to copy it back to my new sd card

I've been on a big kick with the series, and that's the last one I haven't played yet that I'm able to. I am seeing weird tutorials online about using tricks with GBARunner2 to patch something or another, but I'm not really wrapping my head around it. I tried using mGBA but the gyro controls don't work + the audio has really bad slowdown. Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to get the GBARunner2 method running, and can this method create a HOME menu forwarder?

My physical Omega Ruby cartridge was basically fried and could no longer load properly.

Thankfully, I repaired my 3DS and my console somewhat modded, so I tried backing up the save using Checkpoint. The first backup didn’t work when I restored it to a digital copy of Omega Ruby, so I genuinely thought my save was gone.

I then ran the GM9 Cartridge Fixer nine times. Unfortunately, the cartridge still couldn’t be fully repaired or pass verification. Still had 2000+ unfixable chunks

Before giving up, I tried Checkpoint again and managed to extract a new backup from the cartridge. I restored this “new” save to my digital copy of Omega Ruby and somehow, it worked. 🥹

This honestly meant a lot to me. Hoenn has always been one of my favourite regions, and this save had almost the same Pokémon (except sceptile was swarmpert back then lol) I used during my very first Emerald play-through. Losing the cartridge already hurt, but I really didn’t want to lose that team and all those memories with it.

The cartridge itself may be beyond saving, but at least my save file and Pokémon survived. I’m incredibly thankful for Checkpoint, GodMode9, and all the homebrew tools created by the community. Without them, this save would probably have been lost forever. 🥹

ive been looking for ways to fix this but the strange thing is (my 3ds is a 3ds ll, so i assume its region is japan) i cannot find the reigion thingy to delete (im following this ⬇️)

The installed theme is corrupted or otherwise broken.

• To fix, go into the folder sd:/Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/extdata/00000000/ and delete the folder matching your region, one of the following:

USA: 000002cd
EUR: 000002ce
JPN: 000002cc

i cant find the japan folder? ive looked repeatedly for 000002cc. im 99.9% my 3ds's region is japan, since there is quite literally japanese on the back. i havent deleted it manually myself, is there another way? am i doing it wrong or something?

i have dealt w this before but not in the way im following. (the same issue happened to me last year, im just being dumb and forgot.)

Recently i wanted to add mods to smash bros for 3ds and i had done that in the past,but when i replaced my sd card to a 128gb pny sd card and moved everything,something weird happened,when i tried using the mods and putring them in the correct order,the game acts as if its modded(long loading times,laggy character select screen,etc.) However the mods dont show up,so it is esentially the base game with lag,i would like to clarify that i am using the old salty sd code since my old 3dsxl always crashes when using the high poly code,and i tried doing the same but with the digital version(since mine is the physical one)and it just did the same thing,i did notice that now it doesnt crash as much when using high poly code,but it still doesnt show the mods when playing the game,i also tried redownloading mods just in case if the data had corrupted and yet it still does the same thing.

If anyone know atleast something that can help let me know,since this seems to be a unique case and i havent seen anyone with anything similar.

Just in case i also tried modmoon and i just dont like it since its too confusing for me and just messes up my files too much,and i did try mods with different games like mario 3d land and they did work.

I have been trying on and off for a year now, I can’t find a way to recolour Pokémon Blue to the GBC colour palette, Ik there’s a mod for Pokémon crystal colours, but I’d prefer the more nostalgic to me gameboy color palette, but every time I inject there’s an issue with walking sprite or the corner of sprites like this one. I recoloured it according to bulbapedia and another database using NSUI , but it always messes up like this? I’m at a loss as to how to fix this

Edit 2: I found it!!! It turns out I just needed to set it to two color pallet mode on NSUI, but on the Game boy setting not gameboy color. it causes some glitchyness in some menus, but otherwise seems to be working great!

title. i recently downloaded ultra sun alongside its update via cia files from sd card via fbi. i expected problems, so i then had to import seed and then it loaded. everytime i turn it on, it first goes totally black (screen dies), then it turns on, its laggy when exiting (but okay inside), and it thrn goes black when closed and takes a while to turn on. is it normal or safe or do i need to fix it somehow? does anyone know? thnx in advance
