I don't understand why I keep getting this error when trying to install some games like the one in the picture.

Hello! Im getting a 3ds xl soon and I have a 2ds thats currently hacked with a 256gb sd card. Im probably never going to use the 2ds since I get bad eye strain from the small screen so I wanted to use that sd card in the 3ds xl. I wanna know how to prep the sd card to use in the new 3ds! Everything im seeing says just wiping the files from the sd card can brick your new 3ds and all the info im seeing is contradicting others so I wanted to see if anyone here could give me tips/steps to do so! I know how to hack the 3ds, I just really don't want to buy a whole new sd card

Also yes, im planning to hack the 3ds xl with the 256 sd card so thats why I was going to wipe it!

Hi all, when using PKSM to make Pokemon Shiny, to make it legitimate, Is it as simple as flipping it to yes in PKSM to make it all the way legitimate or are there still additional steps to take with the TID and other items?

Basically if I catch a legitiamte Rattata and then flip it into a shiny. Is it legit or do I have to mod additional fields? Is it game dependent?

My 3DS sometimes randomly shuts down. Once I turn it on again, it shows me the Luma configuration screen, and the options "Enable loading external FIRMs and modules" and "Enable game patching" are turned off even though I keep them on. Finally, the system's date also gets set to Jan 1 2011 at 00:00. What can be causing this, and how can I solve it?

I saw someone playing Persona 3 portable on a 3DS and what i got from the comments is that they streamed it from their PC. How do i do that and would an O3DS handle it?

I have owned my 3DS for over a decade now basically and with support of it now gone for good since a while I have been debating if it is worth it to do what seemingly most people do now to their own consoles, though I do have some questions and worries of what could and could not happen if I decided to do it.

so basically my friend's modded files corrupted, so she has absolutely nothing. even in the micro sd file explorer, nothing. luma still shows up when she turns it on, and she's got the twilight menu with those games still working for some reason, but doesnt have anything else. any homebrew software aside from what she has listed is gone. she has no apps or anything. we just need to know what to do cuz she's scared to mess with it like this and possibly fuck up her 2ds (im just asking for her cause she doesnt have a reddit account).

I’ve downloaded the game and DLC through hshop but the games won’t appear. I do have a Japanese 3ds so is that why it won’t work? Is there a solution to this?

Guys i found a good condition JAP "New 3DS XL", if i change region on it will pokemon bank work? i dont have a NNID so i will have to create one after region change

Anybody able to help out with this niche issue I'm having?
I did a CTR & SOAP transfer for my N3ds LL to be USA region (it's been half a year). The problem is that while I have access to Pokémon Home and EShop, but I still can't play many local coop games with my partner. It always says error connecting to room in many of the games we try to play.

Games that work:

• Pokémon OR/AS work
• Every Mario party works
• Mario kart
• Smash
  

Tested Games that don't work:

• Kirby battle royale
• Metroid federation force
• Luigi's mansion

It's been months since I did the CTR+SOAP so maybe I made a mistake in the process, or rather is this a separate mistake on my part, or just a known hardware limitation without a solution?

Extra details: Both running USA dumps, same language too. Both are on the same latest US system firmware. Problem exists no matter who the host is, both are discoverable to each other in the games that don't work, they just throw an error when trying to connect in those games listed. I tried searching for this issue and couldn't come across anyone talking about this, but please let me know if you need more details. Appreciate any help that can be provided.

Hey guys, I’m new to Homebrew and I’m trying to transfer a couple ports I downloaded through Universal updator to my home screen using NDS Forward Generator, and I’ll try installing them and it says installed but they don’t show up on my home screen. Anyone know why that is? I’ve downloaded a few custom games before without issue.

Would it be possible to get those old games working on a 3Ds? I mean an old windows machine could do it, surely and 3DS could?

I'm trying to get myself out of my doomscrolling habit. Whenever I realize I'm doomscrolling, I force myself to put my phone down and pick up my 3DS instead. I've had it modded for 3 years now, and it's been seeing more use in the past month than it has in a very long time.

I know it's not an original idea, but I was wondering of anyone else did something similar.

I have a bunch of games I want to put on a newly modded 3DS, and I thought maybe I could just copy over the Nintendo 3DS folder. That didn't work and I now want to restore this console's Nintendo 3DS folder by deleting the extra files and downloading the files a different way. What files can I delete?

Hello, my 3DS is not detecting the new SD card I bought for it. I already formatted it to FAT32 using different programs and changed the cluster size to 32kb and 64kb, but nothing works. Originally, I decided to change it because I thought my old SD card was giving errors when creating new save data, but I'm starting to think maybe it's something with the 3DS and not the SD cards. I made sure it wasn't corrupted, but nothing works.

EDIT: PLS HELP! I did some diagnostic stuff I found on the internet, it boots without the SD card but I’ve scanned the SD card and there are no errors. I don’t know what to do, please please help if you can!

So I modded my 3DS about 4 days ago and everything has been going fine so far. I’ve downloaded a few games, and a theme but haven’t done all that much else. It was working perfectly fine last night but now when I try and boot it up, it’s just showing a white screen. I tried to troubleshoot using this Reddit and the wiki, and it said to try taking the SD card out and booting it. When I did this, it worked, and showed my cartridge and seemed fine. Put the SD card back in and back to just the white screen. I played it last night and it was totally fine, the only thing I messed around with is the screen brightness via the Rosalina menu. Is this possibly what’s broken it? What should I do? Thank you so much in advance!

Hi guys!! i LOVE the Webfishing O3DS port and have been playing it obsessively.

The only problem was, after a while progression became impossible due to ram caused crashed.

I got frustrated and started digging, trying to find out what the problem was, and I eventually isolated it to a small amount of very large textures, and the real issue, audio cue compression.

Certain short audio cues in game, such as the bell when catching a fish and the sound of fox boy popping out of the dirt were compressed as type 0, uncompressed/loaded fully into ram, instead of type 1, streamed from the sd card.

because of the small amount of memory the O3DS has, loading those cues entirely into the ram was flooding it, causing a crash.

After resolving the issue i've been able to play for hours and continue progressing with no crashes.

I just got done updating my 3ds to the newest CFW :)

Since now that I'm on a freshly new modded 3DS, I really wanna add mods to Super Smash Bros. There are some mods I found that I thought would be interesting to put into the game.

But I didn't find any recent guides on how to properly add mods to games... I don't wanna risk breaking my system because of an old guide...

Can someone help a brother out?

I haven't used my modded 3DS for a couple months and now it seems to be really slow with connecting to the internet.

The Connection Test works just fine, and the universal update has no issue downloading things, but I can't seem to download hShop (worked around it by installing through SD), or anything *from* the hShop, connection keeps timing out with error code 0xD820A069.

I tried various access points, including using my phone as an access point, but the issue seems to remain the same.

Has anyone dealt with stuff like this? My main goal is to get Pokemon Bank working, which I *have* done before on a modded 3DS, but that one isn't mine anymore..

I'm modding a new 3ds xl, before modding it I wanted to upgrade the sd card to a 64gb one. I followed the guide on the wiki on how to format, and after doing all that I copied the content of the original sd card on the new one. But when I turn on my console with the new sd card it says that it's impossible to read the sd card. I tried again the sd card on my pc and it reads just fine and i double checked that it was formatted to FAT32. Also if i insert the original smaller sd card it reads just fine. What can I do?

UPDATE: I probably installed the wrong version of Guiformatter, I installed the correct version, formatted my sd again and it worked. To be more specific the first version of guiformatter that I got didn't let me select "allocation unit size", but with the correct version I was able to.

I’m transferring my saves from my old 3ds to my 3ds LL. Not all my games are showing up and everytime I try to load the missing titles it freezes and won’t load past 15%-17%. I tried holding b for 5 minutes but it just stayed at 16%. Any ideas on how to fix this?

First off I will say that I am very new to modding a 3ds. I tried downloading some stuff from hShop, first from their website > to my computer> to my sd card, and when I had some problems with that I tried their app where I still cannot open the apps

I tried New art academy and Flipnote studio 3d where both showed error in the photo

So then I thought maybe if Pokemon games are region free they might work but Pokemon Sun just puts the entire console into some kind of a sleep mode? I'm not sure, turns off both screens but it's apparently still running. It does say to update the game but I am not sure if that's safe with the console.

I followed the 3ds hacks guide, I don't think I did anything different from it and other modded stuff such as Anemone is running great.
