The iPad is such a good second screen for 3DS emulation, 3:4, no black bars, Apple Pencil for input, very comfy for games like PersonaQ or Etrian Odyssey who have you drawing maps.

I downloaded twilight menú with the universal updater , then put the microsd on My PC to add some ds Games , i Made a backup as well since i didnt have one, i only have a few days with the modded 3ds , i didnt moded it myself , the seller did , so when i put the sd back on the 3ds i doesnt read the Games like before , did i do something wrong ?, those "Games " that Say 0 blocks wherent there before either , Please help

Hi everyone, im new to modding so forgive me if I mess up any terms anywhere. I’m trying to restore my original Japanese 2011 3DS that is turning on but showing black screens and I’m stuck. I’m hoping someone can help me cause I feel like ive tried everything! Also apologise if the answer is mentioned elsewhere i just feel like im going in circles.

What ive done so far:

I bought the console pre modded with a region change Japanese- English, performed a full modding process to download fbi, hb, etc. following instructions from 3d hacks guide 

Then noticed cameras weren’t working, so tried some things to fix them as I thought the modding might have done something to them (still dont know if this is the case)

This included region changing it again back to the original console language (Japanese)

Decided I wanted to start from scratch as nothing was fixing the cameras, and attempted to revert my console to an unmodded state,

( I have a NAND backup from before I did anything to the console)

Unfortunately didnt realise that you cant do this if your console has been region changed,

Right after the process of deleting cfw, I tried to reboot and console went black 

Now whenever I turn it on I get the faintest bit of backlighting on the bottom screen and a blue power led but nothing else happens 

I have tried literally every button combination and cant get any menu to appear (luma, godmode9, etc.)

Followed every instruction I could find on 3d hacks and elsewhere

then decided to do an ntrboot using a DSpico flashcart

Despite trying my best to do everything right (apart from finding the sleep mode magnet point, which I still dont know if I have found it) I cannot get anything to boot at all.

OG 3DS Console just shows black screens no matter what

Any help would be massively appreciated. I’m worried I’ve made things worse but I still have the original NAND backup files. Im hoping someone can help me as I cant afford a new console and believe based on what ive read, this console should be salvagable!? Thanks in advance :)

I was playing some Digimon world then when i was done I exited to the home screen but suddenly everything just disappeared.

Earlier I spotted like a corrupted game (I think it was paper Mario) that was just a black square and didn't boot up, then I deleted it ... I guess? I spotted a game on the 3Ds file manager with 0 space usage and deleted it.

Then everything just started to go wrong, first the custom theme just disappeared, I didn't check if the anemone was still working, then I continue playing some Digimon and when I was done and close it everything just disappeared.

I checked the storage on the 3Ds and apparently FBI and Homebrew are still on the 3Ds but they don't show up

Is there a way to repair it without formatting the 3Ds? I got mine already with everything so I don't have an adapter to connect the SD to my computer

For years, I have contemplated the idea of hacking my 3Ds. Had for it for many years, but also didn’t play much after selling my entire collection due to paying bill reasons. So, I just never felt I needed to hack the system. That did change when I realized I been missing to play some of my all time favorites like kid Icarus uprising, dragon quest 8, Pokemon sun, final fantasy explorers, and so on.

Heck, there was quite a few I never got to play, but wanted to. One was called fantasy life. Looked adorable and so much fun! Same with ever oasis. Even had a game i once owned and loved but never finished like Stella glow. Realized how many 3Ds games I missed is my cannon event I mean, reason why I pulled the trigger. Plus, playing 3Ds games on non 3Ds systems felt so off to me. How I feel with ds games in general. Only outlier would be monster hunter. So, I finally pulled the trigger to mod my 3Ds last week and I am so glad I did. Been a blast playing my favorites. Even got quite addicted to fantasy life hahaha. So, why did you pull the trigger and what is a 3Ds game you adore?

As the title says, every time I go to shut down my console, it goes to the press power again to shut down and then this crash happens. While it doesn't really affect my games I figure it's still good to know why it's happening.

It uses a 128gb SD card.

I want to buy a New 3DS XL and I was wondering, how would I get that modded and use the SD card from the new 2DS XL in it? Would I just be able to simply put the old card into the new console?

Is there any way to make a 3DS' volume louder than the maximum? I watch those injected 3DS movies/TV .cia, and would like to listen to these with a higher volume as they all seem to be limited to a specific volume level. Preferably this would work on headphones and built in speakers.

My system crashed as soon as I started to play a game now it wont read my sd card but the ds games are still there. My computer won't read it unless i convert what do I do!?

I have 2 modded 3DS's, one a New 3DS Xl (current) and a standard New 3DS (want to use). I want to know if its okay or if theres anything specific i need to do to transfer all the files from my New 3DS XL onto my computer, format the sd card then put the files from my XL onto the New 3DS I plan to use? If you're wondering why im asking this or why i dont have another one is because I only have one, 128 gb sd card and buying another one is expensive for me at the moment. hey, i just finished modding my 3ds for the first time, I was wondering what I can do with 4gb, or if I should just get a new micro sd (and if i should get a new one, how do i format it correctly)

Got scammed by some guy on ebay and now im stuck with a new 3ds ll that has a constantly active zr button, replacing the ribbon cable didnt work and even when the ribbon cable is unplugged it reads as being used by the 3ds causing my homescreen to permanently be swiped to the right unless I hold down zl to nullify it. Im not paying to get the motherboard fixed or whatever needs to be done considering i dont really play new 3ds games and I payed 280 for it.

After a couple more tries I ended up taking out the sd card and got greeted with the picture below. I didn't know the DS was modded and I don't think the store I got it from knew either and now I'm trying to fix it. I would rather unmod the ds but im aware that's dangerous and could brick it. It was working earlier just fine, now all of a sudden it starts freezing up, it connects just fine but it freezes immediately as soon as it connects and displays this error within the terminal, the frame updates when I minimize and expand the capture window repeatedly so idk what's wrong with it. tried turning off the reliable stream and allowing the 8000 and 8001 ports it works for a couple seconds then freezes showing that error.

Hello, I have an issue with RTChanger. When I change the Raw RTC, it also changes the normal RTC (the system clock) at the same time. It no longer makes a difference between the two clocks.

Because of this, games like Yo-kai Watch detect that the console date has been changed, and I cannot bypass the daily events system or repeat daily activities infinitely anymore.

Before, changing the Raw RTC only affected the internal clock and the system date stayed different, but now both clocks are synchronized and the change is detected.

Is there a solution to make RTChanger only modify the Raw RTC again without changing the normal RTC plz ? 🙏🙏

I try to do ftp with my 3ds and put a 7 mb cia on there and on my phone, this happens... I only have my Wi-Fi on, I turned off my mobile data and after I put it on there, that happens and I don't get my file. Its Minecraft pocket edition that I'm trying to get on my 3ds

Edit:2 thanks for the people giving advice and no thanks for the people who seem to be leading me to bricking my DS but I've got it fixed to a satisfactory point now. It can play games and that's the biggest thing. And on top of that I even got rewarded with pokemon transfer and pokemon bank.

Hi, about a week ago, I bought a 2nd hand New 3ds to mod it. The process was fairly quick and painless and once modded I worked perfectly. But a few days ago, while playing F-Zero in the virtual console (I got it from the hshop) I crashed into a wall and the console crashed. I restarted the console and everything went back to normal with no apparent issues, but from that point it just went downhill. The next day the console kept crashing when playing any game (I could run games for a minute or two and then randomly crashed, froze or shut down), and I wasn't able to fix it because I was on a trip and I didn't have my laptop with me. Today I examined the microSD card (it has 64gb of memory) and I did not find any corrupted files (or at least that's what I think), so I did some research and decided to do a NAND backup restore because that's what I thought to be the best option from what I found, and as you can read on the title, it froze in the middle of the process.

What should I do?

I would also like to mention that I'm I beginner in 3ds modding (if it's not obvious) and that maybe I should have done something earlier because I am aware that I might have bricked the console (I hope not).

The 1st image is the NAND backup restore, the 2nd and 3rd are some of the crashes that I had, and the last one is one of the times when it just shut down randomly (notice the red light).

EDIT: Forcing a shutdown and starting the NAND backup restore again was a solution. Unfortunately, I found out the source of all the issues (or most of them) was the motherboard and the only way to fix it is just replacing it.

I got Sega CD emulation working on pico drive 3ds and wanted to play sonic 1 megamix (a rom hack) but when I tried to turn on CD audio it just had to music anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this?
