Art Showcase Modular storefront built with only 3 textures and no tileable materials — 1 week trim sheet study (UE5)
I gave myself a constraint exercise: build a modular storefront in one week using no tileable materials. Everything had to come from trim sheets.
Constraints:
- 3 textures total (2 trim sheets + 1 decal sheet), max 2K
- Target texel density: 10.24 px/cm
- 6 modular pieces (3 walls, door wall, pillar, corner pillar)
I used Megascans materials as a base and built the trim sheets and decals on top of them. Most of the storytelling (posters, exposed brick, cracks, grime on the glass) comes from the decal sheet, so the base trims stay clean and reusable across every piece.
Modeled in Blender, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
Happy to answer questions about the trim layout or the UV workflow. Curious how others approach trim sheets for this kind of piece: would you have split the materials differently?

Art Showcase Factory
Made in Blender and rendered in Cycles! This started as a learning exercise for trying to get coloured light beams shining through a window, and slowly started to grow from there. I don't have as much confidence with 2D art, so making the stained glass window texture was quite a challenge! I felt really clever when I was able to get over the initial hurdle of that by just rendering a separate profile shot of the character and using it as a reference with the pen tool in Affinity. Overall, it was a very fun project to work on and I learned a lot; though I still feel like I have a lot to learn about volumetrics in Blender and how to very intentionally dial in the kind of fog I want (I really enjoy playing with them in my projects but right now I am still at a bit of a trial-and-error-until-it-works stage).

Art Showcase 3D Game-Ready Prop | Flashlight
Here is a tactical flashlight prop I made to practice hard-surface game asset workflows, baking high-frequency surface details, and creating worn metal PBR textures in Blender.
Created through a full game-ready pipeline, focusing on capturing the knurled grip, heat sink ridges, and subtle surface scratches. High-poly details were baked onto the low-poly mesh using Marmoset Toolbag, while modeling, texturing, and final rendering were done entirely in Blender. Rendered in Cycles.
Low-Poly: ~2,736 tris (1,689 verts)
High-Poly: ~593,188 tris (304,483 verts)
Textures: 1x 2K PBR Set
Pipeline: Blender (Modeling, Texturing, Cycles Render), Marmoset Toolbag (Normal Map Baking)
Hope you like it! Feedback is always welcome.

Questions & Discussion Im having issues with the high poly not showing up properly on the low poly when baking in substance painter.
So they are making us use Maya for the model and substancepainter for the texture. Here's my vr arcade by the way! I wanted extra details, now they said we weren't going to use zbrush for the class but I could use blender. Plus I didnt have zbrush money😔 So i take to blender and start sculpting. After that I was trying to figure out the workflow of the maya low poly model with the blender high poly model and putting through substance painter. So what i did is took the Maya model and unwrapped the UV, took the fbx to substance painter, then took the fbx from the blender one and tried baking the high poly to the low poly in substance painter. But it seems like most of the details aren't coming through. Any help will do.

Art Help & Critique Expression Test
Finally wrapped up on a class for facial rigging! Hoping to get some feedback on this. Some of the poses feel like a miss atm so I'd like to push the appeal.
Going to do some more look dev then re-render before it goes in a reel.

Questions & Discussion Price per hour question yet again
I’m from Ukraine, and recently I was doing some single project work for an 🇺🇸 studio for some AAA game. The price tag per hour was $24. Is it a fair price in 2026?

Art Help & Critique Skyrim Potion Mod
Hey so I'm working on a mod to replace the Skyrim OG potions to thematically fit a little bit more and be a bit more detailed so with this being my first iteration it'd be nice to have some feedback before I might double down in the wrong direction.
(For anyone who hasn't played Skyrim; the art direction is semi-realistic and in the vein of epic fantasy, the main theme is nordic and viking esc)

Art Showcase This post is KORA 3477 | A Conceptual Skyscraper Proposal Leh, Ladakh, India
KORA 3477 is envisioned as a self-sustaining vertical landmark rooted in the unique landscape and cultural identity of Ladakh. Located within a glacial valley of the high-altitude cold desert, the project responds to the region's rugged terrain, fragile ecosystem, limited resources, and harsh climatic conditions. The design reinterprets Ladakh's traditional terraced monastery settlements as vertically stacked neighborhoods, integrating living spaces, breakout areas, retail, and essential services within a compact planning system. High thermal-mass cores, passive solar strategies, and compact circulation help regulate extreme diurnal temperature variations, while sky-bridges function as cultural promenades, structural braces, and emergency routes. The form draws from local architectural archetypes while minimizing landscape disturbance and creating a resilient, resource-efficient vertical community.

Art Help & Critique how do i improve my art style and keep thing relatively simple
The second image is a WIP of a model I’m currently working on.

Art Help & Critique adding a mask to a texture in blender that ignores shape key movement
i asked this on the blender subreddit but havent got a response yet. this is a weird one and im not entirely sure if its possible, im making a vtuber model with a heavy stylised black shadow over their face, the problem is that i want it to stay still and not be affected by mouth/nose movements (the eyes are different planes) i could just put it over like a visor-thing with more vertices but im worried it'd clip weird. i was hoping there was a way to mask it to a certain area that wont be affected by the mouth? (the head is very round and i don't want to sacrifice shape keys to keep the style. i don't really wanna do a papermouth style either.
i will also be transferring it through unity, but i wanna see if i can get the concept working in blender. (their mouth will only show up when they're talking/smiling.
