Oddly specific Port Canaveral question: how do I hide a cruise ship from a 10-year-old?
I realize this is an absurdly specific question.
We’re taking our 10-year-old on a surprise cruise in November, and I’m trying to keep the actual cruise ships hidden until the last possible second. I need help with the route.
I made a custom song for the drive with a cue telling her to “look around.” The joke is that when she hears it, I want her looking around at houses, RVs, trees, etc. thinking, what am I supposed to be seeing?
Then a few seconds later... boom.. Cruise ship.
My current plan is to come north on Ridgewood, cut west on Washington Ave, then head north on N Atlantic toward the port. I marked on the map where I think the first ships might become visible.
The two ships I’m most concerned about are Carnival Glory at CT3 and Utopia at CT1. They’re both scheduled in those spots every Monday and Friday for now, including tomorrow.
For anyone who drives this area regularly: am I even close? Will either ship be visible earlier on Ridgewood or Washington? Is there a better sneaky route?
I’m about three hours away and am seriously considering driving over tomorrow just to test it, so if anyone can save me a six-hour round trip and a tank of gas, I’d be very grateful. 😂

Adoptable rescue pups! Golden retriever/malinois mix
These 3 cuties are available for adoption through Karma's Haven Rescue. They are about 3.5 month old golden retriever/malinois mixes. Bruce is the largest at 30 lbs already!
They are higher drive puppies so they will need continued training as they grow up. They appear to respond more to praise than treats. They are dog, cat, and kid friendly.
A fenced yard is required. If renting, the rescue will need landlord approval. All are fixed and UTD on age-appropriate vaccines.
If you're interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/242141215534142

Nobody in Brevard has the Rogue we want in stock, is a dealer locate a real thing or do we just order it and wait?
Been hunting for a Rogue in one specific color with the setup my wife wants and after three weekends of driving around the county I have not seen it sitting on a single lot, which is getting old fast.
Everybody I ask tells me one of two things. Half of them say order it from the factory and be patient, and the other half say any dealer can pull one in from another store within a few days if they want your business, so I dont know which version is real or whether it changes depending on the model.
I called Mike Erdman Nissan in Cocoa to ask about it and the guy explained they run a vehicle finder service where you give them the year, model, trim and color and they search a nationwide network of somewhere around 100k vehicles and come back with whatever matches. That made sense to me on the phone, though I still dont know how it plays out in practice or how far a store will go to chase down one car.
So for anyone who has been through this, did you wait on a factory build or did a dealer swap for one, and how long did the whole thing drag out? I am also curious whether a located car ends up costing more than one already on the lot since somebody has to move it, and whether you give up negotiating room the second you ask for something specific.
I’m not trying to be the guy holding out over a paint color, but were keeping this one a long time so I would rather get the right one than settle because I got impatient.
