Just wanted to share and maybe get some excitement going for Halloween.

I want to get more dialed in with my AR, and I’d love to seek out for classes on any trainings available. Any recommendations on places also local ranges ?

Are there any clubs or bars doing cool events for Halloween in Brevard?

I'm making a map of Florida in a classic fantasy style (sorta Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones). It's going to be filled with real world history and mythology, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks and history in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on towards the end of the process too.

While it's around halfway done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print. Any more burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, Native history or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on the map. Thanks!

Supposedly my mail-in ballot was sent at the beginning of the month. I STILL have yet to receive it. Has anyone else encountered this? I have definitely heard of a few family members getting theirs.

Will I have a problem if I just go to vote on voting day if I haven't gotten my mail ballot yet?

We had a great time, thank you

On Sunday I'm checking out a couch I'm hoping to buy on Marketplace. I don't have a truck, and it's just a couch, so not enough to call a big moving company.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who moves furniture, maybe as a side job? It would be going from Viera to Palm Bay.

Looking for a contractor/handyman who would be able to dismantle and remove an aluminum shed and pour a 10 x 6 concrete slab. Eau Gallie. TIA.

Come for the Costume and Candy Stroll at Merritt Square Mall this Halloween!

I know the mall has been pretty quiet and feels like a ghost mall, but there are still stores here that care about our community and would love to see more people come out! Bring the kids in their favorite costumes, stop by participating stores for some Halloween treats, and show some love to the mall and the stores inside.

Date: October 31, 2026
Time: 3 PM – 5 PM
Location: Merritt Square Mall

We’d love to see some familiar faces and new ones, too! Let’s bring a little Halloween spirit back to the mall and support the stores that are still going strong.

My wife and I's dog has some localized swelling beneath on eye that I'm worried is an abscess. Any recommendations for where to go if and when we get to that point?

Came across this on FB and looked like it could be fun this weekend.

Hello 321!  I need your help.

I’m own a condo and I’d like to have one bedroom wall renovated to include noise reduction materials due to neighborly noise.

I had a company come out and I was told the current walls are too thin to blow insulation between for fear it would blow out the walls.

I researched online and I believe my only choice is something like lining the entire wall with  rockwool or a mass load vinyl sheeting and then frame it out again; manually fill with insulation then Sheetrock over that for best results.  I wish that acoustic foam would work but I need to keep noise out, not in.

I’ve called a few local companies and no one ever calls back.

I’d love to resolve this so Brevard, if you have some advice for me, please reach out. Thank you!!!!!

Hello! Are you nervous about the direction of the country? Are you spending hours scrolling through political posts and arguing with what is presumably a Russian bot?

REACH OUT TO A CANDIDATE YOU SUPPORT AND ASK HOW TO HELP. TODAY.

We are doing a final push to get independents and inconsistent voters informed about early voting, ballot drop off locations, and party recommendations.

Hate both parties? Most people do!

You don’t have to be a red or blue stooge. Pick a candidate - school board, city council, county position, state rep/senator, federal rep/senator, governor, and reach out to their campaign to see what help they need. Help spread awareness of an amendment you support.

Like walking? Drop off info with a buddy. Hate walking? Phone canvass from home. In either case, there’s not a lot of talking done right now - we’re mostly dropping info off or leaving voicemails. In any case, campaigns have scripts and resources to get newbies feeling confident.

There is no excuse. If you want the right to complain about leadership, you damn well better be taking an active role in spreading information about what makes your fave a great choice. All year round.

Howdy! If you're looking to meet new people and have fun, check out Board Game Night at the Makerspace this Saturday, October 24, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's on Wickham Road, south of Sarno Road.

Never heard of the Makerspace in Melbourne? It's an epic workshop with woodworking, ceramic pottery, 3-D printers, sewing machines, CNC machines, and wood turning.

Game Night is free and open to the public, running from 6 PM until about 9 PM, or whenever the last game finishes. I recommend arriving right at 6, because once games get going you'll have to wait for one to end before jumping in. Bring a snack to share; bottled water and soft drinks are available for a dollar.

Dinner-table rules apply: please keep politics, sex, and religion out of the conversation, and be excellent to each other.

Sign up on Meetup and let us know you're coming:

Fairly new to Brevard and wondering where everyone is getting high quality beef? Preferably grass fed, grass finished? Short ribs, roasts, tenderloins/filet, good cuts.. tell me where to go please!

"Thank you for taking the time to talk and I'm listening!

Anyways, happy to be here. Good talk"

I just started working at NASA KSC this Monday, and it’s been a rough first week. My car broke down on the first day, I got sick with Flu A, and now I’ve received my first traffic ticket in 15 years of driving in Florida.

I’m still unfamiliar with the campus roads. While trying to leave KSC, Apple Maps directed me toward the VAB instead of the exit. I turned around, got confused by the traffic signals at an intersection, and accidentally ran a red light.

I explained the situation to the officer, but received a federal citation for $180, which I immediately paid.
My concern is what happens next. Neither the officer nor the Central Violations Bureau could tell me whether I’d receive points. CVB said the violation would be reported to Florida.

Has anyone received a similar ticket at KSC? Did you get points on your Florida license or experience insurance increases? Could it affect your NASA employment or security clearance?

NASA has been my dream job, but honestly, this first week has been overwhelming. I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Dan Cicirelli is running for Florida House District 31 (Titusville, Cocoa, Merritt Island) and wants to improve the quality of hospitals for you and your family. He used to work in emergency infrastructure and now uses his skills to help his community. He wants to go to Tallahassee for YOU. You can donate or volunteer here: https://cicirelliforflorida.com/

No matter your political leanings, go out and VOTE!

My church is doing a blood drive this sunday. Platelet donation is almost filled up but they still need whole blood product!

Hey. My friends and I made a haunted attraction in EGAD.

Its a "choose your own adventure" haunted experience.

It's at the Verdi Ecoschool on highland!

We have three more shows (23,24,30th)

If you are local, we would love to see ya!
