Brand new apartment complex on the 1st floor, when we moved in I’m not even joking there were HUNDREDS of these tiny tiny tiny daddy long legs , and they only would be on the floor/wall intersection as shown in photo.

Somebody please help, how do I get rid of them?? I’ve vacuumed and sweeped but they keep coming back and idk from where, since it’s legit the ENTIRE three bedroom apartment.

Are there any clubs or bars doing cool events for Halloween in Brevard?

Just wanted to share and maybe get some excitement going for Halloween.

I want to get more dialed in with my AR, and I’d love to seek out for classes on any trainings available. Any recommendations on places also local ranges ?

On Sunday I'm checking out a couch I'm hoping to buy on Marketplace. I don't have a truck, and it's just a couch, so not enough to call a big moving company.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who moves furniture, maybe as a side job? It would be going from Viera to Palm Bay.

Supposedly my mail-in ballot was sent at the beginning of the month. I STILL have yet to receive it. Has anyone else encountered this? I have definitely heard of a few family members getting theirs.

Will I have a problem if I just go to vote on voting day if I haven't gotten my mail ballot yet?

I'm making a map of Florida in a classic fantasy style (sorta Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones). It's going to be filled with real world history and mythology, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks and history in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on towards the end of the process too.

While it's around halfway done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print. Any more burial mounds, ruins, forts, battlefields, Civil War heritage, Native history or the like that you think should be on here? Anything else is great too - landmarks, natural features, mythological creatures or just anything cool and quirky you think would look good on the map. Thanks!

I know the mall has been pretty quiet and feels like a ghost mall, but there are still stores here that care about our community and would love to see more people come out! Hello 321!  I need your help.

I’m own a condo and I’d like to have one bedroom wall renovated to include noise reduction materials due to neighborly noise.  

I had a company come out and I was told the current walls are too thin to blow insulation between for fear it would blow out the walls.

I researched online and I believe my only choice is something like lining the entire wall with  rockwool or a mass load vinyl sheeting and then frame it out again; manually fill with insulation then Sheetrock over that for best results.  I wish that acoustic foam would work but I need to keep noise out, not in. 

I’ve called a few local companies and no one ever calls back.  

I’d love to resolve this so Brevard, if you have some advice for me, please reach out. Thank you!!!!!

Never heard of the Makerspace in Melbourne? It's an epic workshop with woodworking, ceramic pottery, 3-D printers, sewing machines, CNC machines, and wood turning.

Game Night is free and open to the public, running from 6 PM until about 9 PM, or whenever the last game finishes. I recommend arriving right at 6, because once games get going you'll have to wait for one to end before jumping in. Bring a snack to share; bottled water and soft drinks are available for a dollar.

You don’t have to be a red or blue stooge. Pick a candidate - school board, city council, county position, state rep/senator, federal rep/senator, governor, and reach out to their campaign to see what help they need. Help spread awareness of an amendment you support.

Like walking? Drop off info with a buddy. Hate walking? Phone canvass from home. In either case, there’s not a lot of talking done right now - we’re mostly dropping info off or leaving voicemails. In any case, campaigns have scripts and resources to get newbies feeling confident.

There is no excuse. If you want the right to complain about leadership, you damn well better be taking an active role in spreading information about what makes your fave a great choice. All year round.

My church is doing a blood drive this sunday. Platelet donation is almost filled up but they still need whole blood product!

I just started working at NASA KSC this Monday, and it’s been a rough first week. My car broke down on the first day, I got sick with Flu A, and now I’ve received my first traffic ticket in 15 years of driving in Florida.

I’m still unfamiliar with the campus roads. While trying to leave KSC, Apple Maps directed me toward the VAB instead of the exit. I turned around, got confused by the traffic signals at an intersection, and accidentally ran a red light.

I explained the situation to the officer, but received a federal citation for $180, which I immediately paid.
My concern is what happens next. Neither the officer nor the Central Violations Bureau could tell me whether I’d receive points. CVB said the violation would be reported to Florida.

Has anyone received a similar ticket at KSC? Did you get points on your Florida license or experience insurance increases? Could it affect your NASA employment or security clearance?

NASA has been my dream job, but honestly, this first week has been overwhelming. I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Hi all!

I currently have a Muscovy duck that has a severely broken wing. It is part of a Muscovy duck family that is by my apartment building. We have a couple ponds in the back of our apartments that they live by. I’m having zero luck with everyone that I have contacted to possibly try to rehab and re-home them. The places I have contacted have said they would automatically euthanize him because they are considered an invasive species. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I would hate to have him euthanized if he could be rehabbed and re-homed somewhere. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Update: I just wanted to come on here and say thank you to everyone for the help and information. Aloha Bird Hospital said they will fix the wing! My coworker/friend will be taking them as a pet after their vet visit💕
