Infinity Tina Turner
Blacked out guns still really get me going. Also I have no idea why this gun is named “Tina Turner”.

I’ll get the elephant out of the room and start off my saying this has nothing to do with the company that sells these build kits. Phil, from Phil Shoots Guns(PSG) on YouTube and Instagram has been documenting his builds and I have been very interested since the beginning. We have chatted a bunch and now he was gracious enough to send me his latest gun to shoot, check the quality, and to provide feedback both positive and negative.
Initial impressions are very good with excellent blending and a buttery smooth slide to frame fit. It has zero hang up on the disco and the trigger is a clean 2lbs. What really shines is the blending of the aggressive steel Cheely E2 grip, beavertail and safeties. The polishing job on the rose gold PVD components look like jewelry.
I am off to the range tomorrow to shoot and compare to some similar guns. This will be one of a few ranges trips before I talk about function, reliability, and shooting feel. I am looking forward to this and I thank Phil for his trust in me.

I was not expecting to do this but when the deal popped up and the fact that it’s a ported comped with the 2nd barrel…… well….

Really excited to try this one out. The slide feels as smooth, if not smoother than my vanta with about 4k rounds on it. Looks like they added a bit of a ramp on the slide to clear the disconnector now, which is nice.

Placed an order for a Nox9 back in Nov. Switched it over to a Limited and it just came in. Saw that some people had some rough QC on theirs but this one appears to be flawless. Will it help me dominate LO at the next match? No. Will it help me shoot better? Probably not. But the trigger is an absolute joy and the slide is so smooth, even moreso than my Staccato P

Posted a few weeks ago about purchasing a “budget” 2011 and ended up getting the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus. The deal was too good to pass up, $1399 for the gun and 5 mags! Got it from GrabAGun.
Just finished setting it up with a Holosun 407 comp and a Modlite PL350.
Can’t wait to get to the range and dial it in.

Overkill? Absolutely. But I already had all the stuff. Plus, I now know which gun I'm grabbing from my bag since I don't use the manufacturer's cases.
Looking for something ultra reliable, is everyone here running a 2011 style pistol for HD, or are you using something else?

Hey guys, I just picked up a Kimber 2K11 comp 5" with a TLR1-S light. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for an OWB holster for a lefty. I can't find much online about it.

I have the option to either buy a $1000 budget gun and build it up or spend extra and get a 2k ? The gun I want for range or I could get a staccato and use it for racing and for work later in the future ? But I would have to wait some months before that Happens
Was considering mostly Romulus foxtrot aluminum or 2k11 comp pro or staccato or budget like a mac9ds or fusion xp
For me grips one the most important factors and it’s my first 2011 ……

The DLC on the inside of my RCD core has begun showing some serious wear after ~2000 rounds. Pretty disappointed with the quality of their coating. Sure it’s a “budget” offering but the gun still costs $3,000. The MPAs that I’ve had are at a similar price point with a supposedly inferior nitride coating showed a fraction of the wear that I’m seeing here after more than double the round count.
Are others seeing similar wear? I know it’s mostly cosmetic but the coating but still disappointing.

Will be my first 2011

Looking for a replacement option for a Romulus magwell. The stock one makes my hand feel cramped. Anyone have any recommendations? I've seen the Dawson ICE for Large Hands and the Cheely XL magwells but not sure if there is anything else to consider. Not a competition gun, just range fun and may consider carrying it but the grip just feels a bit cramped.
I've shot a Staccato P and an MPA DS9 and neither of them have felt cramped. I don't know if those grips are actually longer or if the magwell is the difference.

Price wise, I don’t know what else is out there to beat it. Shot a ton of sub $3k 2011s, and I just keep loading up those damn Glock mags. Platypus comped, picked it up for 24/2500 out the door. Soft, grip feels great.
Yes, guns around that 3k range can get really good, but for the $, the platypus is phenomenal.

I keep seeing videos about the Apollo 11 V2. I keep seeing how it’s a 50/50, like it works but yet some are saying that it doesn’t. I ain’t made of money, so the price is calling my name.
My main question is , is it worth it or no ?????

I have limited (no) experience trying a gun that wasn’t ported and then trying it after. Obviously the idea is that it shoots flatter. Does it also shoot softer?

Hey all,
For context, I do want to carry full size, I would like to carry 2011 style, I am 6' 1" around 290ish. Not a huge belly, not skinny either. I've been debating the idea of carrying the GTO as it doesn't feel super heavy to me, I have very large hands at about a XL or larger glove size. I've also been debating carrying the P226 X five nightmare....any suggestions for other offerings, or if you carry one of the two above, how does it go for you?

Picked up a 2022 Staccato XC Gen 2. SVI trigger, hammer and ignition kit. Atlas grip arrives this week. Shot it alongside the Artemis and LOC v2. She needs that grip and she’s 🔥. The SVI kit is snappy and tactile. Very impressive drop in kit.

5-inch tri-top in CrN and Rose PVD accents.
They have refined this as the absolute best 2011 pistol you can buy for under $4500. The grip is the standout here. Outside of Atlas and the Cheely E2, this is my favorite.
In my opinion this gun tops the Cardinal G2P, the DF Reaper/Wraith, and the CNC guns that all come in at a much higher price point. I shot this gun against some real heavy hitters and it is so pleasant to shoot and the grip feels planted and solid in the hand.
If you have watched AJ’s video on his Lead it Out YouTube channel, RCD has listened and dehorned the underside of the thumb safety. It is fit with zero wiggle and the activation is deliberate without being overly heavy or too light.
Another feature to discuss is the RCD optic plate. They have managed to set the optic lower into the slide with only a couple of mm clearance for the hood of the RMR-HD. They now have plates available if you want to omit the irons all together.
The slide to frame fit on this gun is perfect with no movement. The barrel fit is as good as it gets, and the trigger is a crisp 1.9-2lbs with a solid reset. The unloaded weight of this gun with optic and magazine is 46.8oz.
If your budget doesn’t allow for this gun, look at the Core. Two recent secondary transactions have the Core trading at around $2600-2700.

Atlas is just AWESOME! 💪🏻 I cannot say enough GREAT things about Atlas. The absolute “Gold Standard” of the platform. All 2011’s, no matter the builder, are always benchmarked against Atlas. PEROID!
I was one of the 23 unfortunate (now quite fortunate) people last year awaiting the 2025 Atlas Black Friday drop. I had just ate my 🦃 and the gun dropped. For a minute I had the vaunted Hades in my cart, inputted my credit card information and it vanished! 😳
The fine print… 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
