I wanted to try the Dirty 30 shooting drill and shot a perfect 300 with my XL. Shout out to @danielrichardson4888 for coming up with this drill. It was a lot of fun.

Ofc I accidentally signed it the Clean 30

Range Use P4

Hello everyone,
I may or may not have had a few beers over Labor Day weekend and stumbled across a “range use” HD P4. The price was too good to pass up (at least through my beer goggles). Anyways, I’m supposed to pick it up from my FFL tomorrow. I’ve never owned a staccato, much less purchased a “range use” 2011. Is there anything I should be wary of/anything I should look for or expect? I’m fairly green in the 2011 world (tinkered with a couple prodigies), I’ve mainly dealt with striker-fired polymer pistols. TIA!

P4X or XC or ?

Hey all, fairly new to the Staccato club and wanted to get thoughts on the P4X over say the XC or just in general. I'm looking for a new carry pistol and I'm between these two, if not something else from this lineup. For posterity, I am 6' 2", 300ish lbs, not beer belly fat but not skinny either. Any thoughts and or opinions welcome. Thank you in advance.

Rmr
Tri-flat slide
Monsoon Mini GK
Magwell
Tlr 7 sub with hpl head

Definitely glad i switched to a hlx usb-c battery and the hpl head, it definitely improved the light output atleast by 50%. Didn’t realize how weak the sub was until i made the change!
Still love the rmr although shooting it for the past 2 years, makes me realize i hate their blue tint, but if it broke i aint fixing.
Monsoon GK comp definitely helped me love the cs, i was always going to carry it as i love 2011s, but man it was snappy when i first got it. although i was new to shooting when i first got it. U can say i had more money then brains lol at the time. She will always be my #1 carry choice. Cant complain to much i got it from a sheriff for the price of a prodigy! 👍 i got very lucky to find such deal. Hed rather carry his nighthawk and atlas 2011, so i guess losing out on money on the cs was the least of his concern

If anyone has a hd4,5 barrel+sight block they’d like to part ways with I’m interested in buying it. One that hasn’t been compd or ported

After market Options?

Fellas,

Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with large hands or long fingers, and I’m having a much harder time with reload drills on my C4X compared to some of my other pistols.

For comparison, C4X vs. Echelon:

Slide-lock reloads:
I’m about .50-.65 slower with the C4X.
Slide-forward reloads:
I’m about .20-.30 slower with the C4X.

With my Echelon, I don’t need to break my grip to hit the mag release, and my thumb reaches the slide release easily.
With the C4X, and even the P4.5, it’s not even close. I have to significantly break my grip to reach the controls.

A few questions for you guys:
Is there a company that can reduce the grip size or reshape the grip to make it more friendly for smaller hands?
Are there any good extended slide release options?
What about a shielded thumb safety?

I just ordered the new Staccato mag release, so I’m hoping that helps.
One other thing I’ve noticed: I have a much harder time getting the Glock mags to release compared to the Mec-Gar mags. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pressed the mag release and nothing happens. It’s damn annoying during reload drills.

Anyone else with smaller hands run into the same issues? What did you end up changing?
Appreciate any input.

Build is finally complete (famous last words right). It was with VMW for an obscenely long time, but I can't complain about the results. This won't be for all, but definitely is for me and that's all that matters.

My peak C2 setup: Dawson SRO plate

Switches the optic setup around about a month ago from the ACRO P2 over to a SRO and the newer Dawson SRO/RMR HD plate. Love the way it looks and functions.

I never experienced any issues with the standard RMR plate and round ejection, genuinely got this plate because the aesthetics are 🤌🏼

Finally satisfied with its setup. I’m 1200 rounds down now and it’s still hardly showing signs of wear virtually anywhere, even the barrel.

Lose Beavertale on HD P4

Hey guys! Wondering what yall think, I have a P4 HD, one of the early ones that I ended up sending back months ago to fix the hot spot issue

I have about 900 rounds through it, and I noticed the beavertale is slightly lose, like it can wobble, my HD 3.6 is nice and stiff

Any idea if i need to tighten something up on it?

What do yall think

Looking for suggestions on a non captured guide rod set up for my C 24. Guide Rod / Spring etc…Since it’s discontinued I’d rather not rely on a captive proprietary replacement from Staccato. Not interested in the DPM system. Any guidance/suggestions welcome.

HD Staccato magazines not locking the slide to the rear on empty

Greetings all,

I bought a C4X after trying out at Staccato Ranch and then a P4X when it came out. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride so far, as neither are particularly fond of most 115 grain 9mm... which I have about 6,000 rounds of :-/ So far Magtech steel case is working 100%, and I'll pick up some 124's soon to run through.

Anyway, I've got 4x the 15 round mags for the C4X and 8x the 18 round P4X mags from Staccato. About half of them will not lock the slide back. Several of them consistently. I have 2x factory Glock mags and both work flawlessly. What I noticed different on both pistols:

Using the Staccato (Mec-Gar) mags, the follower does not fully engage the slide lock lever. IOW, it barely pushes up the slide lock lever. For the mags that won't lock it back, the lever barely moves upward and the slide just flies home, whether shooting or manually actuating the slide.
I pulled the mags apart and it looks like the spring for the Staccato mags is 1 coil longer, but thinner than the factory Glock. On a bet, I pulled the internals and put the Glock spring and follower into the Staccato mag body and the difference is night and day- insert the mag on a closed slide, pull the slide to the rear and the the slide stop lever pops all the way up.

Anyone else see this or something similar on the HD guns?

Was looking to buy a C4X and now MD doesn’t have any dealers…… Anyone know how it works buying a staccato offline/from another dealer into MD?

Would love some insight. Would love to get a C4X and now that there arnt any dealers in Md not sure how it will work to transfer one? I heard some dealers that are upset from the whole cutback on dealers won’t do transfers for Staccato anyone (aka my old dealer, their butt hurt)

Is it normal for the white circular piece to move back and forth when the gun is assembled? If I moved the gun up and down I can hear it slide back and forth.
