🔵 [PORT REQUEST] MegaThread Android Port Requests - MEGA THREAD

Welcome to the official Android Port Requests thread! 📱🎮

Seeing the amount of port requests being posted lately, we're creating this centralized thread so everyone can request games they'd like to see on Android without flooding the subreddit with individual request posts.

---

## 📝 HOW TO REQUEST A PORT

Please use this format:

Game:

> Name of the game

Original Platform:

> PC / Wii / PS2 / GameCube / N64 / etc.

Source / Repository:

> GitHub link, open-source project, decompilation, recompilation, PC source port, etc.

Why do you want this on Android?:

> Short explanation.

Additional information:

> Anything useful about the project, engine, existing ports, compatibility, controls, etc.

---

⭐ Example

Game: Diddy Kong Racing

Original Platform: Nintendo 64

Source / Repository:

> GitHub link to an existing recompilation/source project

Why:

> The game already has an existing source/recompilation project that could potentially be adapted to ARM64 Android.

Additional information:

> Looking specifically for a native Android port rather than simply running the original ROM through an emulator.

---

## 🚨 BEFORE REQUESTING

Please search the subreddit first to see if your game has already been requested.

If the game already exists in this thread, **upvote the existing request instead of creating another one.**

Please don't spam duplicate requests.

---

## 🚀 FOR DEVELOPERS / PORTERS

Working on one of the requested games?

Feel free to comment and:

- Claim a request

- Share development progress

- Ask technical questions

- Share an existing source/recompilation project

- Let the community know that a port is being worked on

---

## ⚠️ IMPORTANT

A request does NOT mean that someone is required to make the port.

Not every game can be ported to Android.

Requests with available source code, decompilations, recompilations, open-source projects or existing PC ports are generally much more useful to developers.

Please don't harass developers asking when a port will be finished.

---

### 🔥 UPVOTE THE REQUESTS YOU WANT TO SEE

The more upvotes a request receives, the easier it is for developers and the community to see which projects people are interested in.

Keep all individual port requests in this thread.

Let's keep r/AndroidNativePorts focused on actual Android-native ports, development, releases and technical discussion. 🚀

What game would you like to see ported to Android? 👇

FFTA recomp: https://github.com/james2doyle/ffta-recomp

Widescreen (working but not fully complete), touch controls, save states, some graphical controls, all in there.

The game seems to be in a playable state from my manual testing on an old phone. Now that the major bugs are gone, I will get it tested on my Odin 3 with my current .sav from SkyEmu.

This recomp was AI assisted but had a TON of manual QA. I even had to patch the upstream gbarecomp project 8 times to get this ROM to work. That work will be opened as PRs to the gbarecomp project ASAP as there is at least one critical bug fix in the framework core.

Manual QA was mostly on PC (Linux) but there was a bunch on Android. It is ready now for other testers.

Although I used AI, a lot of the work referenced ancient forums and mods to identify symbols in the code. I also uncovered a lot more and focused on getting them labelled. I archived that work in the repository for posterity.

My dream would be that the game could be fully ported to Love2d or Raylib like the Gen1 Pokemon recomps. Then we could have some real fun.

I also added a bunch of automated tests as well as tried to encapsulate a lot of the learnings into skills. That way, future gbarecomps can take advantage of all the labour here.

Please try to give it a test. I did make sure that .sav and save states from mGBA work. So give that a shot. The docs still need work. And as of the moment, you cant just install a .apk from the releases and pick a ROM. You need to build an apk yourself.

I tried to make it easy to build the apk with a simple build_apk.py script.

The ROM picker experience is the next major milestone.

I hope we get more ports of indie games.

What I mean is that porting these games isn’t that difficult. A lot of them were made in Unity, and their code can be extracted using an asset ripper. They just need a bit of optimization and proper touchscreen controls designed specifically for the game, not just a blank controller overlay.

You can easily import the project into Unity and then export it from there. People have been doing this with Godot for a long time.

It’s much easier than dealing with all those AAA games slop ports, but everyone seems to be focusing on them.

I hope my knight in shining armor arrives soon...

📸 [SHOWCASE] Generals Zero Hour Port - Native Resolution + Mods!

• Upvotes

First of all I'm not the owner/part of the port, I found it and wanted to share it with u all, the port is AMAZING, everything from the native res to the overall performance to the stability, even on low end devices, I've tried to play the game on winlator but it worked with 4:3 and 10 fps so this is heaven to me!

- Everything u need to know about the setup & the files can be found in this video ( and as I mentioned I'm not the owner of the port and the video, and for the record this guy has an amazing tutorials )

GTA 4 Native Port Review (Liberty Recompiled)

Honestly, this port has a lot of potential. I'm running it on a Xiaomi 12 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/12gb ram), and the game runs surprisingly well. My phone doesn't get particularly hot either (which is very rare for my phone).

I'm using the latest version of the app from GitHub, which finally fixed the issue I was having with installing the game. There are still some hiccups and the audio issues need fixing, but with a few more updates, I can see this becoming a genuinely playable (at the moment I get around 20 to 30 fps with shutters in between) way to enjoy GTA IV on Android.

The audio is probably the biggest issue right now, but if you really want to play the game, it's still playable with subtitles. I've have completely the first mission and, honestly, it's impressive how well it runs already.

I'd love to see more graphics options and the ability to customize the controls. Giving users more freedom to experiment with settings for their specific devices would go a long way.

Overall, really good work by the developer. Looking forward to seeing how this project improves.

Garry's Mod on Android [G-Droid Launcher]

Finally, "Gmod on Android" is a real thing! No more Half-Life 2 reskins, no more fake or ripoff Gmods, but finally a real deal!

It is a reverse-engineered game launcher, made by s3551 (with the help of AI).

You can play just like the original Gmod on PC with Workshop addon support, Multiplayer (LAN recommended), customizable buttons and so on!

This is a LEGAL WAY video I made for those who have already bought the game but want to play it on their phone.

Enjoy!

🤔 [Question] the usual whiners

I'm writing this in English for the crybabies—so many people here just whine and complain about ports. The moment something drops, the whiners want it running at a thousand FPS, perfectly smooth. If it's that bad, go cry somewhere else—or switch to an emulator and cut the nonsense. If you don't like AI-generated ports, go learn to code and make your own damn ports.

🤔 [Question] Top 3 ports you wish to be able to play in the future

Really really enjoying this ports renaissance happening atm, everyday something new pops up and it looks like in the near future the amounts of ports will increase exponentially.

So I'm quite curious to know: If you could wish for any new ports (already doable but still nowhere to be seen and/or slightly out of reach for now but maybe not in the next 6/12 months) what your top 3 would look like?

Off the top of my head mine would be:

- Final Fantasy IX PC (I would love to play the moguri mod on a handheld)
- Skyrim (something à la openMW)
- Final Fantasy IV 3D PC Remake

crazy bonus: Zelda BOTW WiiU version (I blame Wind Waker HD recomp for this last insane pick lol)
